Boot switched? - Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions and Answers

I bought this phone 3rd party, and it has always been verizon , but I've been using it on tmobile. Here recently I used a friend's sim (verizon sim) to get the OTA updates and it updated like 3 times, and then a message popped up about the sim card. And when it installed the next update, it booted up as Tmobile. Why would it do this ad not when I inserted the tmobile sim?

[Q] sprint note3 on cricket gsm

I just got a Sprint galaxy note 3 and im trying to make it cricket with the new gsm network. I ordered a sim card and I attempted to do the sim unlock but it is not working. I rooted it and verified that it is rooted with an app to check it. I also installed super su like the directions said and also installed region lock away. I still cant get the phone to accept the sim. It says "invalid card". I checked the Stats on it and it show network unknow. It doesn't even show the phone number program onto the sim. When I take it out it switches back to sprint.
Sprint sim slot is only for lte on sprint in the us...
You need a gsm model such as att or unlocked t-mobile note 3!

Sprint L720T On Boost No LTE / Sim card issue

Hello, recently I set up my L720T on Boost, however it rejects the SIM card during the activation process and then locks it out, then leaves an error saying no SIM card. Does anyone no of a trick or possible the OTA app from a Boost ROM for L720T that I could install and have the activation process go through?
Thank you for any help I'd appreciate it.
EDIT: This isn't one of those donor phone flash things, I called Boost to resku the S4 IMEI and the SIM was originally different. When I popped in an approved SIM they said it should automatically authenticate but that's not what's happening.
The ICCID of the new SIM wasn't updated in their system at the time of RESKU. It will not automatically update. This requires their intervention.

Galaxy S5 Vodafone - New rom Three, not detecting sim

I bought a new S5 that was Vodafone, of course I put my three sim in and it asked for a network code to unlock it, not wanting to pay for one, I rooted and installed a H3G 6.0.1 Stock rom, put my sim card in and now its saying no sim detected, and shows no signal at all. I remove the sim, it says please insert sim, emergency calls only. :/ Any suggestions?

How to flash J7 SM-J737U To T-Mobile? Or one that does not have a sim card check on

Sorry if this is posted somewhere, but I could not locate it. I bought a consumer cellular SM-J737U, which runs on att and tmobile towers. When I inserted the t-mobile sim, it prompted me to reboot for network change. I did, and I have full LTE for a few seconds then I got an error message saying this is an invalid sim, contact consumer cellular for help. So I know the sim works because I had full connectivity on there.
What do I need to flash to goto stock J7 stuff so I can use my tmobile sim?
I tried another sim and the same thing happened.

S10 + Sprint Unlocked issue

Hi Everyone,
I just bought a brand new s10+ from marketplace. I ran a full imei report and everything is clean & not blacklisted. It was a sprint phone however the provider I use is consumer cellular (uses ATT towers). When I put my sim card in it obviously said invalid sim and request it get unlocked. I wasnt concerned because I was going to convert it to unlocked anyways via odin like I did my note 9. I reflashed it via odin with the u1 firmware. However the same thing is happening it keeps saying invalid sim and the button for mobile operators is not showing. I have a tmobile sim card and if I put that in it works fine. Being though tmobile and sprint are the same thats why it works fine. I also have a ATT sim card, If i put that in I get the same invalid sim message. So it still appears to be locked somehow. Only sprint / t mobile sim works. I thought by reflashing to unlocked it would unlock the phone sim.
Just to be clear the phone is brand new and never was attached to any account.
Any ideas? I dont know what to do here.
Thanks!!
As I understand, phones that are locked to a network are not just software branded... also the phones hardware ID. So flashing a generic firmware is not enough. You need to get the phone unlocked from the phone's original operator
I found out what I had to do. I had to use a remote unlock service to remove the software lock on the phone. Its fine now. Thanks
