[Q] no touch responce from camera app

hi guys, got a strange problem. when i open the camera app i seem to lose touch screen function. the volume button still works to take a picture but i cant select any option on screen.
it used to work but doesnt now. no other issues like this with the phone. ive downloaded other camera apps from the play store and they work fine but dont have the features of the stock one.
any ideas whats wrong or how to fix this?

common solution for system apps or better to say preinstalled apps is to clear cache, data, force stop and re open it.
Setting > Apps > Camera > Clear Cache, Data, Force Stop
then try to re open app and check issue.
Possible solutions If problem remains
- you need to restart phone.
- reset to factory
- Flash another stock firmware (that u can find in sammobile.com/firmware) via Odin

Thankyou for your help but I have already tried your first suggestion and unfortunatly it didn't help.
I was also thinking I may need to Factory reset or flash another stock firmware as I have tried deleting the app itself and installing again but I still have the same problem.
I just find it strange that I cant seem to find any info on any one else having the same issue...
Anyway when I have abit of free time I will look for a firmware and give it a try. In the mean time any other suggestions are welcome.

Well I figured out what was causing this. It seems installing xposed stops my stock camera app from working as previously discussed.
The app is fine installed but when the firmware for xposed is installed the camera app doesn't work, when the firmware is uninstalled the camera app works fine.
If anyone has any info on this then I would appreciate it if you could share.
I'm also gonna ask in the xposed thread to see if anyone has any explanation or info. Hopefully I can get to the bottom of this and sort it out.

[Q] payment method issue in play store

I am having problem making purchases as I can't add any payment method (cc or anything else) when I click on purchase and then continue it starts loading and then nothing appears, just my email and the rest of the window stays blank after the loading icon disappears like in this screenshot:

my phone model:
it's the stock rom but I rooted my device using the guide on xda-developers with mohan root, (this has nothing to do with the issue,I just had to mention it)
It all started to happen after I used freedom, I uninstalled it in the correct way, I've stopped it then uninstalled it, and I've also reset the hosts file, I tried to add another google account and used it for play store and still had the same issue, and I also use adaway.
I went with the hard reset from the recovery mode and still had he same problem I did not even use freedom after the hard reset.
after thinking of it, it might be caused cus of some apps I've disabled, so here is the list of the disabled apps in my phone:
I have to mention that I've disabled Samsung billing after the hard reset but I've re-enabled it and nothing has changed and i think this has nothing to do with it and this app is related to Samsung applications app which I've also disabled along with KNOX.
how can I solve this problem?

Un install and reinstall the play store, that can fix the problem, that happens when you don't stop freedom service that runs in the background and you uninstall it, play store keeps running with the hacked parameters, the only solution is to remove and reinstall play store.

I've mentioned that I uninstalled freedom in the correct way in my post (by first stopping it and then uninstalling like you said) and I believe I've tried reinstalling play store but I will try it again now after the hard reset.

I disabled play store and re-enabled it, it did not fix the problem, is it the same as uninstalling and re-installing?
I've also disabled and re-enabled google services and google services framework and still the same

Reinstall freedom then, and don't start it, just let it there, and then probe play store

Extrange, in my phone did the same as you, install freedom, run it, stop it and uninstall it, and then probe my play store and everything works ok, maby yours play services has been corrupted, try installing lucky patcher and from that app install the moded play store to see if that works, if not, I think that your only solution will be flash stock again.

Recently bought a N6P and I wanted to give my N4 to the gf. Performed a Nandroid backup just in case. Did a factory reset, clean manual flash of the latest 5.1.1 factory images, wipe cache, another factory reset from stock recovery, completely stock, stock kernel, stock recovery, no root, nada.
Here's the problem: I cannot access the "3 dots" overflow menus in different apps like Chrome, Google Camera, Play Store search results, etc. This means that I cannot go back/forward/open a new tab/settings in Chrome or disable/change the flash/timer/settings in Google Camera for example.

I tried manually flashing back 5.0, 5.1.0 factory images (clean flash) and same thing. I tried flashing 4.4.4 and the 3 dots menu from the bundled Chrome version WORKED and then stopped working as soon as Chrome updated itself. I tried flashing Chroma M Rom and same issue. I then tried restoring my Nandroid backup and I can access the 3 dots overflow menus like I've always done (issue gone). I've never had this problem in the close to 3 years that I've owned this phone. :crying:
See screenshots (in Chroma but same thing happens in stock stock stock 5.1.1, 5.1.0, etc.) This is happening at different locations on my screen so it's not physical damage, ie in Chrome I can press the microphone icon but not the 3 dots overflow menu.

I have a similar issue on mine, but i figured that the digitizer is not working properly, install a app like YAMTT and test the screen to make sure everything is working fine.

I really don't understand how I can access the buttons when I restore my Nandroid backup and not when I factory reset but it might be due to a modification from a Rooted app or an Xposed module (like maybe the buttons are not exactly at the same spot because of a modification). (even if I don't remember having any display modification, I might just have forgotten about it)

I think it might be because as you said the buttons could move a little and its responsiveness too, on mine the digitizer acts almost like yours, but there's a tiny line on the right side of the screen which reacts and i think that some buttons receive this input and others don't, so there's a reason to some buttons on the same place work and others don't.

Couldn't set up "Ok Google" feature (Error : Trouble Connecting)

Hello everyone,
So I recently updated my device to OxygenOS 5.0 Open Beta 3, and for quite some time, I still have this issue happening to me it's that my Google Assistant wasn't working back when it was (I think it was 4.5.15)
so I hoped the update to Open Beta 1 Oreo would fix that and when I got into the Beta, I still had the issue so I tried to disable it and just try to set it up again, now when I did try to set it up, everytime I tap on the button in Assistant Settings > Phone
The thing keeps on loading with the circle and then it shows the error that it has some trouble connecting.
I don't know what to do, there's Open Beta 2 and now it's 3 but the issue still isn't fixed, it's annoying.
Any possible solution to this? I'd attach the screenshot but it doesn't really say much.

First of all, upgrade to Official OOS 5, I also got this error while trying to setup my Philips Hue lights rooms, but the settings were saved even with this error.
And try with Wifi connection, not 3G/4G.

I've had the same problem before but with xXx's 9.0 Oreo. I noticed Google Play Services force closing during the initial setup routine. I was able to proceed thru the setup bypassing an update play services option. All worked fine except that I can't access Google assistant settings, throwing up this "Trouble connecting" error. Also previous paid apps aren't recognized in Play store. Clean flashing the ROM (in my case xXx's), full wipe with format data fixed the problem. Backup everything beforehand.

The thing pops up even when I'm on WiFi or something. I think I have to clean install everything like suggested in the next reply. I think I'll upgrade to the OTA with link you've provided.

Well can you elaborate how exactly does it crash? Just gone back to the last page with a flash when trying to log in?

Its crashing all the time, every 5s I have error on the screen. I took some more pictures from settings, meaby thats will help.

Set it back to factory settings, set up an internet connection, set up your google account and don´t do anything else than start the play store and wait for updating your system. the current version will be installed automatically, together with updates of your existing apps.
Don´t install any side loaded version.

I tried connect wifi/mobile, remove the sim card, clear the cache, data, various versions of play services, even unpacked the apk files from the opengapps package and installed whatever I could, still without success. I would like to share logcat, but I have no idea how to connect to a computer via adb.

At the moment I have little progress. I was able to get an adb connection via cable. (There are three dots in developer options and you need to change usb mode). I granted the logcat application privileges, but I don't know what to look for. With the "error" and "google" filters I have failed to find provider info for com.google.android.setupwizard.partner.
