Hey everyone,
After I installed the latest firmware update for my rom (GNF1), my device (GT-I9505) fast reboots (without asking for PIN) at least twice a day!
How can I fix this? It happens randomly, even when I'm on a call..
Thanks in advance!

I am not sure if you meant "random" reboots, not fast reboots. I do not know any fix other than backing up your apps and doing a factory reset.

They were random and they were fast too. By "fast" I meant a "simulation" of a reboot. The system was closing/restarting all core and user apps. No SIM unlocking was required afterwards.
The problem was solved after I uninstalled all KNOX related apps.
Hello guys,
My Mate 7's original version is B120SP04 (32gb/3gb RAM) and I upgraded to B324. Well, to be honest, the only reason why I like B324 is because it's Lollipop. It has better UI. But then again, just because it is newer doesn't mean it is better, right?
I experienced a lot of bugs on B324. I thought that if I downgraded back to B120SP04, cleared cache partition, and reformatted the phone the bugs would be fixed, or at least lessened. Unfortunately, it didn't.
Anyway, I'm thinking of downgrading to B120SP04 for good, or until Huawei fix the bugs.
So my question, what's after B120SP04? I mean can I still upgrade my phone to a firmware with better performance? I'm talking about KitKat.
Thank you!

I actually didn't notice any bugs as of the moment, the camera app has more functionalities...
the way i upgraded is like this:
1 - i downloaded the file from website
2 - inserted a micro sd card, didnt remove the sim, made sure battery is at least 90%
3 - formatted the memory card
4 - pasted the "dLoad" folder containing the lollipop os in the root directory of micro sd card
5 - did upgrade using local upgrade in the settings
6 - waited for the upgrade to finish
7 - phone upgraded successfully, all my files were intact though but im experiencing lags
8 - i tried doing format through settings but failed
9 - did format using volume key + power
10 - format is successful and the phone ran smoothly and better
can you cite the bugs you've encountered?

Actually, this is the second time I upgraded to Lollipop. Before upgrading on my second try, I did step 9 first. Then steps 3-6.
Encountered bugs are:
1. 2 instances of Messaging app running. Let's say you opened the Messaging app once and you exited by pressing the back or home button. Then when you run it again by pressing the icon and pressed the square button, you will see 2 Messaging app on the screen, which should just be 1.
2. Smart screenshot doesn't work. Someone said I should knock harder, but it really doesn't work. It works on my first upgrade though.

the 2nd time you attempted upgrading to lollipop, did you went back to the sp04 version KitKat first? there are certain versions you need to use in order to have a smoother transition with the official lollipop release from Huawei. sp04 is one of them...

Yes, second time I attempted to upgrade to LP my phone was on B120SP04. On B120, I used the volume + power key reboot. I cleared cache partition and reformatted my phone. Put the B324 on my SD card and upgraded to LP.

sorry about this but would you mind backing up your file system in cwm/twrp and upload them cause i fked up my phone it won;t boot into stock recovery it only boot loop can get it in fastboot mode and any custom recovery
Has anyone else experienced that as soon as they update their device (either stock ROM via OTA or just a dirty flash) that their device slows down considerably? I'm not entirely sure why this is, but it always seems to happen. My phone doesn't run nearly as quickly, and I cannot figure it out. Is this normal?

You can try clearing the cache and if that doesn't speed things up flash the vendor image. The latter usually speeds up my phone after I flash an update for some reason.
Lower the 3 animations scale options in Developer Settings...Mine are .5x and have smoothness on custom Roms.
So how is it? Does camera work? Battery life? Does it have any bugs?
Just got 1.99 Gb update via Firmware finder.
It's excellent! Everything works, it's a lot faster than MM, it's smoother, ram management is finally OK. I advise updating via twrp (don't forget to flash the 2 zips one after the other and to flash stock recovery before the first boot. Then do a factory reset after the first boot)
Battery life is marginally (if at all) worse than MM. With location always on, mobile data always on, wifi always on, even during sleep, I lose about 1-4% overnight, in 7 hours.
Only thing I'm missing from MM is Xposed, but I can make do without it for now. I got all the essentials working, like root, Viper4Android, AdAway, Greenify.
Go for it, I will never return to MM even if they never release another N build.
Thanks for reply!
Well, i dont want to root my phone just yet.So ill update via firmware finder and then will do factory reset!
Yesterday i was on B336 and it was so laggy that i had to rollback to MM.

B336 is trash. B370 could very well be a stable release.
Ok I updated. Everything works fine so.far.
Just weird ram management for example, I have opened apps Facebook, youtube, and google chrome. Its says that there is still 1 gb ram aviable but when I reopen chrome it refreshes tabs.

Please post screenshot of ur Android OS battery usage. On B360 Android OS keeps the phone awake and drains the battery like hell overnight easily 10-15%

I think, that's that gonna be a stupid question, but still...
Does my phone have to be rooted?
Nope, it doesnt.
My Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1(ASUS_X00TD) hasnt been updated to Pie, its still in Build WW_Phone-15.2016.1902.340
OS- Oreo 8.1.0
Now, when I connect to network, (mainly using mobile data, wifi isn't very good at the moment due to maintenance work ongoing...), then I click check for updates, then the updates aren't being shown. Is this normal?
So, I tried to go to the Asus website, and I see that I have mabe 3-4 updates pending, each of 1.53gb apprx. So do I need to download each in the order that it came out one by one, or can I just download whatever the latest stable update is for my version??
Anyone?
...please help anyone?

You can just download the .082 Pie build. But I would recommend flashing it using a microSD card and wiping data/internal storage (factory reset) afterwards for a fresh start.
Both options are available in the recovery (Power + Volume Down when booting up for a few seconds)
