Well, everything is working fine. May be you should flash again.
Working fine on mine.

Hi. Sorry if this has been posted before, but auto rotate has stopped working. The device is stuck in landscape mode. If i disable auto rotate from settings, it will go back into portrait. It used to work on this same build but now it doesn't. The tablet was dead for about a week and I now started to use it again. Tried clearing cache.
I suppose the your kernel is missing an important commit to work on marshmallow correctly ... (https://github.com/AndDiSa/android_...mmit/82e513b28087645506d8f077f9f37b630ad79c01)
Nexus 6p, unlocked bootloader and running 8.1DP.
Whenever I make a call and put the phone to my ear the screen turns off and never comes back on. I tested the sensor with the device info app and I the sensor stays in the "close" position when engaged untill the app is restarted.
I did some research and I found that some users had this issue with the Nougat update but no relevant solutions were found and the 7.1.1 update fixed the problem.
I would like to avoid factory reset or locking the bootloader if possible.
Can anyone think of a possible solution?
I tried the Proximity sensor reset app from the play store and that does absolutely nothing.
EDIT: Stable 8.1 doesn't fix the issue, even after clean install and manual flash and wipe.
I'm on SuperXe 8.0 Oreo built and it works flawlessly. I remember having that issue on nougat ROMs use to drive me nuts. Every time I needed the keypad I had to fight to get the screen back on. ?
Not a factory reset. Manually wipe the phone and apply the latest 8.0 image.
So after manually flashing the 8.0 image everything worked. I thought id give 8.1 DP2 a shot and I wiped and flashed this manually. It worked during the restore but stopped working after all my apps were back, so I thought it may be an app that's causing the problem. Strated in safe mode, issue is still there. I guess Ill just have to wait for the stable 8.1 release. If anyone else is facing the issue please post here.
Hello all!
I have been struggling for a couple of weeks now with my MXP, it suddenly stopped auto rotating everything (All stock apps, desktop, installed apps), tried several fixes including cache cleaning, uninstalling recent updates, sensor fix tool apps (like Quick TuneUp), the issue appeared after the Nougat 7.1.1 update (NDP26.48-24-1) but I don't think it is related to it because it was working fine after I patched with the OTA.
Update: I found out that the accelerometer works correctly using Spirit Level app, I already factory reset my device 2 times with no change.
Hope someone can give me some light!
My x play in that all sensors are not working pls provide some solution....

I did, that was the first thing to check.
Fingerprint was working well. Until I installed Android 8. It stopped working and no longer appears in the settings as well as a problem recording the camcorder. Android 7.1.2 has been installed again. But fingerprint settings no longer appear.
What is the solution

Don't try zui ....zui is the root cause for this problem.......just flash the nougat rom of your choice and flash the firmware given in the link below........the fingerprint option will present once you flash this firmware....I too got the same problem after flashing zui and now my fingerprint works like a charm.

As the title says, the autofocus function on the camera doesn't work anymore. The way it works is like it's stuck on 'macro' mode, changing to manual mode and manually trying to focus further distances doesn't work.
I've already reset the device to factory settings, but it still persists, which leads me to believe it's either hardware related ( not likely at all, the only time I dropped the phone was 2/3 days of getting it in oct2017 and only got a crack bottom screen part ) or software related (but at a rom level, i've noticed it a couple days ago after updating to february sec. patch).
I would like to not get dirty into modding the phone and installing custom roms, but, I can get to do it (thinking something like LOS would be a good fit) as I've fiddled with other xiaomi devices before and what not ( and if that fixes it ).
Here are some results of the photos taken for now...

PS: It's been a while since I've got my hands dirty with installing custom roms and what not, although not everything is unknown to me for this device ( I've unlocked the bootloader before, and know what happens when I'll need to unlock it again, etc... )
Edit: just noticed my sig says i'm with Oreo, but I'm with Pie (5-feb patch).
Portrait mode works?
Try stock rom installed in fastboot mode

Yep, "depth" option works fine. even using the wide angle sensor works... it's like it's stuck focusing macro, and what's even more odd is manual mode not working too (if it was a bit of dust on the lens or something like that, manual mode would "ignore" that)...
Do you have links for fastboot stock android pie rom ?
No, sorry, just use search function.

I have the same problem, can you solved it?
