please some one help me..i cant use my wifi after upgrading rom of dx900.. plz help!!

hi,
guys i downloaded and successfully upgraded the Acer DX900 Rom i found here,
the problem is every thing is going well and theres no problem with the rom
upgrade... the version i upgraded my phone is
oldSAP ACER DX900 553 Clean ROM temp.bin
the problem is.. i cannot surf internet in any way.. i can connect to my wifi router
and it accepts the password and it even connects successfully... but while i try
to surf internet explorer.. opera or youtubeplay it says cannot find modem..
or check your internet connection!
my modem configuration that i do from connection > advance > my isp etc.. all the
configuration is correct and according to my ISP..
only i cant surf net.. it wont allow me to surf the internet saying that internet connection
not found..
please help me guys! thank you for any kind of help!

setting.. how can i set my phone plz help!!

Try turning "Data Connection " ON in Communication manager.

2 other possibilities: try a hard reset and try reflashing and if unsuccesful you should post in the relevant thread f i where you found this rom

Problem with wifi on mdeejay revolution

i have a problem with wifi in android...when i am in wm i can connect to my wifi network but after i reboot my phone and boot amdroid and go to settings enable wifi my ssid it appears for about a second and disappear..also it shows me some networks but mine doesn't appear
i'm using a dlink rooter and wpa2 tsk encryption
anyone knows what can i do?

not sure bud, but it seems 3 of his last few builds with the new hastarins kernal are prone to problems with wifi and no workaround to this point. trying darkstones new build now to see if wifi works .

Move to hastarin 7.5 and don't forget to copy bcm4329.ko and tun.ko to system/lib/modules.

His latest builds have been fine for me, you should try posting direct in the rom thread you're using

i also have problem with wifi. applanet,UC working. download gameloft database,opera not working. anyone who can fix it?

IBSS Adhoc Support

Hi devs,
Has anyone ever done an IBSS fix? I want to share my internet connection using win7. Unfortunately, the Adhoc mode in Windows prompts the IBSS error message.

did you got any luck resolving the ibis ad hoc problem? read on the net that their is a patch (wpa_supplicant ) but couldn't understand how to put it in.

make sure you set permissions correctly or you will get Error.. after replacing this.. I can confirm it works with sharing to notebook cell xbox and will also connect to my wireless printers built in wifi network.. brother printer ...

That's why it's a flashable zip file ER, the script sets all the correct permissions

I want to help, but for me it's difficult to understand you
What have you done in IDEOS X5 Settings app? Did you change your WiFi MAC Address? Not all MAC Addresses are correct. Best use some kind of generator, like this for example.

bat how use MAC Address Generator ?

Well, just click "generate Mac address", and you will get something like this: " 7B-31-DC-83-EB-25".
Write this into your device instead of 00-00-00-00-00-00 that you have now. And everything should work.

1. Open IDEOS X5 Settings app
2. Enable "Custom HW address" option (third from the bottom)
3. Select "Wi-Fi MAC Address" option and write new MAC address

first sry for off topic ... guys I forgot my WiFi password ..
its WPA2-psk secured... I tried to find it using 192.168.1.1
address ... it display under security ..but it is in dot format
..m not able to watch it ..there is no any option to show
password. is there any way to find that password ?thanx in
advance ( I don't want to reset my router )

for that you need to enter old pass first, so reset router will be only option i guess
