Just noticed this morning that the top paid apps tab is missing from all categories in the market. Was this something that changed recently or have I broken something? Running SlideMeRoot5r1.
edit: paid apps are still visible, just the top paid tab gone.

omg me too, I thought my phone was messed up. I would like someone to fix this please. I'm really mad at it. I can't even see if theres an update available on my apps for instance, google maps.
Also does anyone have a problem w/ installing apps from market??? Everytime I try n install a new app in the notification bar it says its done but when I go to the "my downloads" it has that progress bar looping and doesn't stop unless I reboot the phone or kill the market. Kinda weird...anyone else get the same thing??? Oh yeah, its brand new and unrooted so idk if that matters.

Well, I did have a problem with the progress bar for installing apps, but the apps installed fine, so I didnt think anything of it.
As of right now the missing Paid tab is my main problem.
Yeah they installed fine, but its kinda a pain when I want to uninstall an app rite away lol. Did this stop happening to u or its still going on for u too???

Yep, just tested it, and its still doing the same thing.
Progress bar moves along fine when its downloading, but it will say "Installing..." on the downloads page even after Ive gotten the notification that its installed. I can go into my app drawer and see it there, uninstall it, and the progress bar still doesnt disappear on the downlaods page. Only way to make it go away is to force stop the market as you said earlier.
It must be something bigger than just the couple of us, because from the couple people Ive seen on here reporting it, weve all got this problem under different circumstances. For instance, I just wiped my phone, havent got root though. People with root have it too. Even you, who has a brand new phone has this problem.
Something tells me were going to be hearing a lot more reports of this soon.
Yeah, glad to hear it not just me, hopefully they'll give us an ota update to fix this kind of stuff.

I just tipped Engadget, hopefully they'll test out their Slide, and we'll see just how isolated this issue is...

I'm having the same issue now "Paid Apps" tab on my Nexus One. Kinda the same boat...I've had the issue since around midnight last night. Hopefully we get a fix soon.
I have a a non rooted mytouch slide, been rebooted 4 times today and no issues with the market, showing top paid and so forth just fine.
My Market seems to be working fine, sort of, I can see the paid apps tab everywhere I go, but I have seen the installing in the notification bar issue. Maybe there is some update coming or something.
I don't have the missing tabs issue but I have had certain paid apps not showing up since I updated to slidemeroot5r1.
Can someone else see if fandango and ride hopper full show up in the market for them? Neither do for me now and fandango is free. Only thing I can think of is copy protected apps that go in app-private aren't showing up and somehow know I'm rooted?

Fandango is showing up not only on the Featured page for me, but also in a search. I can also see Ride Hopper full and lite through a search.

The new update for Words is showing as incompatible in the market. Does anybody have a way to get it on the A500?
I borrowed a friend's phone for 5 minutes and used astro to copy it off, along with the Sony live view app..
No idea why it's saying incompatible, but it works fine

think it's the cross device compatibility, not to mention the 72 hours per turn... you don't have to jump on right away to take your turn and the older crowd can jump in.
i have a few games with friends and their parents... check it once a day, and i'm good
if they made a GOOD RTS on android that offers those 2 options and i'll be happy.
Does anyone else's crash (the tablet version) after you submit the word and the ad shows up?
I should be happy though at least this version I can use the blank tiles, without it crashing.
Is anyone else having problems with this? I am currently seeing 2 problems.
1) not optimized for the screen resolution making sign in very difficult. This is to be expected so isn't a big deal.
2) appetite keeps signing me out which causes none of the apps to work until it is really signed into?
I thought the 2nd one might be related to the multi user ability of the tab but I only have a single user.
Anyone else seeing g this problem?

I emailed Amazon and they say it's a known problem and are working on fixing it. no ETA
I was poking around Amazon and came across the Manage your devices menu. Its filled with the Nexus 10 over and over. It must be creating a new device ID every time we login.
I got this from Amazon and seems to work.

I did a search and couldn't find anyone having this problem with the nexus player. I am having issues purchasing TV episodes in the play store and get an error message. I have tried removing the account and signing in again and using different credit cards. I'm having this problem on both of my nexus players, so I've been having to purchase episodes on my phone.
The nexus player is not a very good product in my opinion. I've had endless problems with both of the players I purchased. The fire TV really is so much more pleasant to use. Eventually I would like to make a list of all the issues and small things that could be improved and send them to Google. Anyways, i apologize for the rant. Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing this problem with the purchasing error? Its been having this issue for two days now. Thanks for any help I can get.

I can't purchase anything at all....get error message if trying to use any paid app...google very slow troubleshooting via email...
So you've been in contact with google customer support? Have you figured it out yet?

Google is a huge company, might want to be a little more patient, IMO...

Does anyone else have a problem with the NP not waking up from sleep mode? I'm not sure if that's whats happening, but when I get home from work after leaving the player on all day, my Tv says 'no signal' or 'no input connected' or something to that effect. The light is on on the player but I get nothing on the TV screen. Using the remote does not wake it up either. Its not the HDMI outlet because this doesn't happen to my fire TV when its connected to the same outlet. I know this is off topic but I didn't want to make another new thread. Does anyone else have this issue?

Only at xda, surprisingly.
Everyday I'll be browsing the forum and randomly chrome will go from xda to some new page with a pop up message saying some crap like "congratulations! You won a free iPhone!" Or something similar.
It's happened so much that when I open a new page in chrome, the title for XDA is actually "win an iPhone"...
I have adaway and I've never really had ads at xda until recently. Maybe a couple weeks now...
Anyone else having this issue?

Try updating adaway hosts lists
I've read turning off data saver helps too.
Adaway says there aren't any updates.
Data saver is off. I've never had it on.
I guess I'm the only one with this problem.
I can hardly browse this site on my phone as it freezes, I assume waiting for ads to load!
