OpenGApps Official Builds for oreo-8.1 has been released already. So, my work here is done
After installing Android Oreo [8.1] (https://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-x/development/rom-lineageos-15-0-t3672662) on my OnePlus X, I realized that OpenGapps has not yet released any GAPPS packages for 8.1. Their latest official build is for 8.0
This is screenshot was taken on 22nd December 2017 and there was no GAPPS package for 8.1 thus.
I won't get time to build packages everyday but I'll update those package every once in a while. I'll also make sure that packages for latest android API level is ready for download so that flashoholics can run their phones till OpenGApps team releases official packages.
Unofficial builds to the rescue!
Of course these packages are not as stable as the official builds but in the absence of official packages these will get the job done and can be installed on any android smartphone running Android Oreo [8.1]. My builds are available in 4 variants which are -
pico
nano
micro
mini
stock [on request]
aroma [on request]
I haven't built any other variant because I don't know why would someone waste that much space by installing apps which are hardly used. I have built for 2 architectures which are
arm [build 2018-01-05]
arm64 [build 2018-01-05]
If you need package of a different variant or architecture, let me know and I'll build one for you.

I really appreciate your work and want to thank you. But just a suggestion: If you keep your pc on while in university you can add a cron job and it will automatically build it for you. And If you decide to use androidfilehost it can even upload it automatically since they have ftp (but you have to request it). Anyway, thanks again!

This rom is really nice. It could have its own customization menu, add they are under Display menu, but still is fine. I have some problems with gapps, so I am trying the 64bit version.
And RRO/Layers Builds from Aldy ... ? SimpleAOSP ftw !!!
Just a warning people, franco kernel and Fire Ice kernel causes system UI crash, so don't bother with those. Their g+ page says elementalx kernel is compatible, maybe I'll try that later.
Edit: Fire Ice K6 test6+ works

I used K5. First I flashed franco and got system ui crashes. I went to recovery and flashed k5 and got the same thing. I reflashed the rom and the ui crashes went away. I figured it was the kernels doing that because people were reporting similar behaviors with other kernels on g+

dont use it then not here to do timepass based on his work just added things and removed and some modded things so
and flash hito build and use that dont report stuff if you dont know what you are doing
flash both builds see the smoothness see the backup see the other improvements and then point on anyone if you are blaming someone then see yourself first buddy
based on his builds latest hito changes will be there and why would i change his things tell me that ?
How do you enable nav bar on miui? Is it not present in the ROM?

Hey brother don't do away with the global version as it was done before(Hito moved to global version for a while). Many of the users like the global version than the chinese version( including me ). So as a request that you should release a global version alongside the chinese version in the subsequent updates. Thanks!
Installed the rom as per OP's requirement installed google apps via google installer v2 but i am getting fc and crashes. Tried clearing cache and data but still the same issue also Package Installer crashes.. I am stuck please help?

The battery backup is around 5hrs+ sot. Similar to miui. I cannot post sgsi if i haven't tried it, and i dont think i am gonna try oneplus port anytime soon. But most sgsi's follow similar procedures to install.

if you want to install via fastboot, you take recovery img in zip, then you install again .Zip, because there is a package needed inside .Zip

I think when you build it, it just automatically names the output file to OFFICIAL. I could be wrong, but I have had this happen myself, but not with PBR, which I have never attempted to build. There is suppose to be a new official build coming, but I would not hold my breath. Keep up the good work @dohasaizo.

Hello, for me it works. Friday i installt this img on the fone from my doughter. All works, but Titanium Backup not all restore the User data and App´s. 1st i install the zip from here with TWRP and 2nd formate my data whis yes and 3nd i install the new Xiaomi.eu and the Phone works smooth. Does this mean that we have to use something other than Magisk to root our ROMs when using these gapps? Or am I misunderstanding?

you just need to boot to system first then boot back to recovery to flash Magisk

After installing
BiTGApps-arm64-10.0.0-v0.6_signed
I love this Gapps package!! I installed the BiTGApps-arm64-9.0.0-v11.0_signed.zip a few days ago along with the RR rom for Pie on my OnePlus 3T, and my battery life has been excellent! BiTGApps is wonderful. I have noticed that not much of anything Google related gets updated from the Play Store, however. I have probably been using BiTGApps for around 5 days now, and usually when I have installed the normal Gapps package in the past, things get updates from Google pretty often, like Google, Gboard, things like that. I have gotten no updates at all with this BiTGApps.
Is this normal, or have I missed something from the old thread about this?

Well, don't I feel foolish! I just checked my installed packages, and no wonder nothing from Google is getting updated. There's only a couple of Google things that got installed! LOL Geez, and here I was all worried about it.
To be honest, I had no idea a rom could run this well without anything Google on it! It makes BiTGApps even more wonderful for me!!

Haha. How do you know it's the GApps? I mean, you get the same Google apps from other GApps packages so please do tell what made the phone heat up.

Because when I returned to v. 0.5 the phone stopped heating up. But these are only my assumptions
