Hi guys i need some help. Yesterday I was flashing the latest stable ROM and my computer suddenly shutdown. I started the process again, but i didn't check and the XiaMiFlash had a different image from my device (I had flashed my friend device earlier that day) and started the flash process. The program displayed a flash error and now my phone is death. When I connect the device to my computer it does not recognize it and the LED on the phone just blinks. Can it be recovered? or it is really death. In advance thanks for your help.
Does it enter fastboot mode? Turn it on holding volume down+power.

Check the Device Manager of your computer and see if the mobile is detected as anything. Maybe it's detected as a Qualcomm/QCOM whatever.

I could flash again the system, but now when the system it's starting when the Google wizard starts the phone keeps restarting, I think it's related with the wifi not working, because when it starts to look for wifi access points the wizard stops and then the phone restarts, I flashed the December Update and then the August update and either of one works. Thanks for your help, you have been helping me a lot :good:

Hey guys,
I'm having the same problem. My MI A1 shows as 9008 in Ports section in Device Manager on the computer. I couldn't get it to boot into fastboot. I'm not sure whether the phone is unlocked or not, but I don't think there's anyway to check, USB debugging is not enabled. Can anyone tell me how to solve this? :crying:

device is not restarting the driver second time as Preloader Device...
You will probably have better luck posting in the M9+ forum. I have never heard of this flash tool, but the dedicated xda thread for it seems to be full of bricks.
From the sound of it, you either flashed the wrong file or flashed the right file to the wrong place.

Usually something like "USB Preloader Device" means a low-level brick because the PC can't tell what it is. For a RUU to work, it has to be detectable by ADB, not just Device Manager.
Would putting the RUU on the sdcard make any difference? I am still new to htc.
On my samsung I hard bricked once and recovered by putting a bin file on my sd card. There is an app called partition backup on play store that allows someone to make such file. Would that work? I think someone could make a backup and then post it.

Not knowing what state he put it in, it's hard to say. Worth a try.
But if the bootloader is corrupted, the phone will never get to the point of reading the sdcard.

A hardware un bricking tool (sure there used to be a tool for htc devices xtc was it? Could be wrong?) or RMA seems to be your only options now.
Obviously try the holding all buttons and waiting for the vibrate method then try to get to bootloader mode. If that fails I'd be aiming to get it replaced, good news is if it is totally bricked, chances are HTC will just think the bootloader went on you.

You need to open your phone and enable EDL mode, then you will need to pay a service (20/30 euros) to unbrick your phone via your PC (using TeamViewer remote control software).
Or try to use your warranty...
You messed up, what do you expect? Warranty, edl or local service with service box - every single one is paid

Is your phone's bootloader unlocked? If yes and you are able to boot into fastboot mode than you can flash the factory ROM. If your bootloader is not unlocked you cannot flash any ROM. So, you have to bruteforce flash the factory ROM through 'EDL'. Good luck!

That means one of your phone's partition is corrupted
So you can try using a flash tool called "Qfil Fash Tool"
If qfil also doesn't work then try "EMMC DL Tool"
(With shorting the pins in the motherboard)
In these two tools you will get different modes of flashing. Try them out. Good luck!

RSOLVEU?
Hi all,
So basically I was trying to install Pixelexperience to my Note 7 today and I messed it up big time. So I was having some issues with TWRP and one of the solutions (according to posts I found on Google) was to update the phone firmware. So I went to do that. Downloaded the lavander firmware for my Note 7, put it in the folder with other stuff I was downloading. One of these was firmware for Redmi A5 (which I didn't notice) and ended up flashing that. Now my phones screen is dead (I guess the rest of it also?). When I plug it in to PC the PC produces the sounds that something connected but running fastbood / adb devices doesn't return anything. I tried multiple times booting to fastboot / recovery but I have no idea when the phone is on or off. So it just produces sound on PC that it disconnected and connected like 1 second after but nothing still shows up on fastboot.
Did anyone had similiar issue and is there anything I can do? Or should I go look for a new phone?
Thank you for your time
