Hi. Since 2 weeks ago, my mi a1 can't connect to any GPS satellite and it just know the location by the around Wi-Fi's and networks.
I tried with agps apps, restoring the phone and flashing the rom with miflash but it is goings to worse.
What can I do?
Anybody can help?

Probably HW problem. Test GPS by dialing *#*#6484#*#* and test the item number 27.
Just to be sure: Didn't you clear your google-framework services data to force the update?
I have problem: i lose my gps signal when i am using Google maps and i use at the same time the phone for calling.

[ GPS loose signal when using. ]
Device:
Redmi 3s 3GB RAM- MIUI 8 Global 6.11.17 Beta Android 6.0.1
It can lock fast and accurate, but, when used on car, navigating, gps keeps losing signal.
After that, only closing everything or even rebooting, allows to get a new GPS location, that will disconnect again after 2 to 5 minutes. repeat
[ What has been tried ]
Pretty much everything that can be found on internet:
- application permissions
- energy allowing background operation
- low memory managament + check off miui otimization
- multiples gps.conf files tried, including application fixes like Faster Fix and others.
- Lock applications GPS Locker
- gps.conf files permissions under root granted
- flashed roms: miui8 global official DEV / miui 8 global official STABLE, unnoficial miui 8, etc.
- rooted and unroot methods tried
[TIP] If you test GPS with GPS Test, it goes well, the problem is maintain signal active and tracking.
The problem still. Loses signal. When moving in a car with some speed.
I've been using it for navigation while walking and didn't have that problem

Have u tried with more speed? Walking seens to work here too. But with bicycle or car, not.
- UPDATE 22/11
GPS is fully working now!
I think i found the bug, you need to force mobile connection to "2g only".
The problem is with 3G or LTE data. On switch to "3G or LTE", it looses Gps signal in about 10 seconds. Sometimes needed to reboot to work again.
- Current on ROM: xiaomi.eu V8.1.2.0.MALCNDI_v8-6.0
- stock gps.conf
- didn't need to make any change on battery saver, allowing background, permissioons or such things. Just forcing 2g did the trick
- Tested on Gps Status/Google Maps
meee too
I've tried the GPS and while walking is OK, driving is completely useless.
I'm with MALMIDI Global stable 8.1.1.0
I'm going to try with the 2G trick and see if it helps.
Have you filled a bug/fix request in Miui forum?

Hi guys, as headline says really. Everytime I try to use Google maps for navigation, phone swithches off and reboots himself back.
I was thinking it was one off, but my wife's redmi 4 does the same thing.
I would really appreciate if someone could point to right direction. It's cracking phone but this drives me to the wall.

Hi all,
I recently exchanged the display on my MI A1 and since then, the WiFi and Mobile internet signal quality is horrendous. It still works when I'm close to the router or in an open area, but often it doesn't.
Is it possible that I might have forgot to connect a connector or broke of a part?
Does anybody know where the wifi antenna is in the MI a1?
Thanks in advance
Any hint? I have heard that there is a pin that could have been curved but I had no luck in finding it?
My front cam is also broken :/
Same problem happened with me brother. I have repaired my smartphone in January 2019. And from then my wifi, bluetooth, gps, mobile data nothing is working perfectly. Still didn't get any solution yet.
I've recently purchased a Mi band 4 and installed Mi fit to sync mynew band. After some hours of usage the app keeps crash. Anyone has my same problem? How to solve this?
Hello.
I've got a problem with my Honor band 5.
After leaving range of my mobile bluetooth, band lost connection.
But the connection won't be reestablihed after return to the range. I have to turn at least locksreen on, to reestablish it.
I think this is uncorrect behavior.
My previous Xiomi band 2 doesn't have problem with this. Even in a car - when enter, I don't have to do nothing and connection to handsfree is established.
My phone is samsung s9.
Where can be a problem?
I have the same problem. The band will only reconnect if you turn on the GPS signal.
Thanks for answer but this doesn't help.
No matter, if GPS is on or off.
I'll try it on another phone, I've got an old ZTE Axon mini here...
EDIT: It ends as same behavior. So issue is not caused by phone, but by band. Or by Huawei health App.
I think it is caused by health app. So I can't do nohing, unless Huawei fix it. Until this - my band is useless.

Do you update it?
Yes, there was an update at the end of the february.
Unfortunattely, it doesnt help.
Now it seems it is samsung issue...
I've tried band with two other phones (ZTE Z17 mini and some old Xiaomi) and band reconnect right after returning to phone range.
On both phones...
And I tried on another Samsung S9 and same problem.
I'm bit confused now.
I use a Samsung S8 and my Huawei band 4 PRO reconnects automatically as soon as I get back to Bluetooth range.

Hi, I create similar case on new subject:

I invite you to discussion
The huawei health app notification must be enabled on the phone.
