[Request] How to root with traditional method? - Xiaomi Mi A1 Questions & Answers

Hello everyone, I request your help with this topic, I want to root my MI A1 but via the traditional method (unlock bootloader, install TWRP and flash SuperSu) but so far I haven't found any guide and tools needed for this root method, only Magisk which I'm not pretty confident, so, can anybody guide me and us with this method? I find it easier even though having to install stock OS in order to get updates.
Thanks in advance!

But if you are thinking about SuperSu, i would advice to reconsider Magisk. It is actually better in many way since it is systemless. and the procedure to root and use is just as easy if not easier

Thread cleaned....If you cant help, do not post. That's simple enough.
Its always nice to help so you can always point him in the right direction

How to root so that root will remain after ICS upgrade?

Hey guys, I'm wondering if anybody knows how you can root the TPT in such a way that after the ICS upgrade, it will still be rooted? I've seen a number of people talking about having done that over at the lenovo forums. I have build 0089_US.
Anybody know if this is doable?
EDIT:
Currently my TPT is bone stock.
Hey there, go to www.thinkpadtabletforums.com
In the root and hacks section of the forum, look for the topic "yet another root exploit for the thinkpad tablet (YAREFTPT)" and follow the instructions in that thread. That is the only exploit that'll work on your current tablet version. And by the way, you will need to be patient to get root to work and follow the instructions to the letter.
After rooting, there is another topic on that forum "installing ota3 with root preservation". Its a sticky, so you shouldn't have problems finding it. Follow those instructions AFTER rooting your tablet. It generally involves temp unrooting before updating and then restoring root back.

[Q] Rooting and TWRP

Hello there everyone! May you guys please help me to root and install TWRP on my device? Well basically I have a little knowledge when it comes to rooting and flashing (GT-n7000), but I really have no idea how to deal with S5, so I really need your help badly. First of all, I have a brand new Samsung Galaxy S5, about device info:
S5 - SM-6900F - Lollipop 5.0 - G900FDXU1BOE1 - LRXT21T.G900FDXU1BOE1
I have a couple of questions, and I hope you guys would be able to help me.
1.) I'm not sure what bootloader version I have, I was told that I need the latest version. I'm not sure how to check.
2.) Is there a method to install TWRP (currently using stock recovery) and Root the device without using ODIN? I'm a bit skeptic about ODIN, I prefer flashing zips, though if there will be no choice, well I guess I have to deal with it. If there will be a method to do these both (rooting and TWRP installation) without ODIN, I'll be more than happy to read it thoroughly.
3.) I know this is a bit demanding, but can please someone tell me the step by step instructions on how to do this stuff in sequence? (bootloader update, rooting, customer recovery - installation of TWRP/Ktoonz).
4.) Links for the latest downloads (TWRP, SuperSU, bootloader and etc. - of course something that is compatible with my device)
Sorry if the post is too long, demanding and sounds like a total newbie (well technically, yes), but I really need your help guys. I know that some of my questions can be answered if I do backreading (which I always do), but I don't really have much time these days (I'm not lazy, it's just that I'm too busy). Thank you very much in advance for all of your help.
install phone info app from playstore to ceck your bootloader and info
just use the search option here or google.com

[CLOSED] Can I unroot supersu with these easy steps?

Hey all, just looking for a bit of clarification. I want to get rid of SuperSU and go with magisk. Been reading a few guides and just want to make sure I have all my affairs in order.
It seems I can just unroot in the SuperSU settings and flash magisk. Do i absolutely NEED to flash a stock boot image and do I need to download that from a website or is it on my phone? I've used xposed framework but I uninstalled everything related to that.
Seems I am all set for unroot, just want to make sure I am not missing anything vital. If it counts for anything I am using a Moto G4 plus XT1641 on MM 6.0.1
there are already 3 threads for same thing! READ BEFORE POSTING!

Is it possible to root the oppo A37FW?

The most obvious guide on XDA is the All in one Oppo a37f guide :- rooting, downgrading , unlock bootloader and many more
However that is only for the A37F not the A37FW. I've tried the guide there and my phone got bricked (it won't boot and kept vibrating)
Searching the internet doesn't have answers either, so I'm pretty sure the oppo A37FW can't be rooted.
I'm asking only to confirm this
EDIT: I also need help on unbricking my oppo, I've followed this tutorial but I could not get the volcano tool to work. Please advise..
EDIT2: I fixed it by following this tutorial
The bottom line is if you want to root your A37FW, then do not upgrade the phone version and let the build be 160xxxi instead of the latest 170xxx - then you might be able to root your device using KingoRoot. If you upgraded your phone, at the moment you cannot root your device as its patched. So we have to wait.
this firmware help me from brick
