Also have a D801 / T-mobile and it has been a great phone.

Very good battery life here, but I am careful with managing the screen back light and adjusting it to deal with the ambient light conditions (not brighter than I need it to be).

Are you aware that you may have phone with cheap, chinese display, for example?
How's that
Key word: refurbished. Unless you are 100% sure it's from manufacturer.
So how do I tell?
The phone is great, battery life is not that good though(stock lollipop). Also the device kida heats.

No unfortunately not. But after a factory reset it never came back in such a huge way, before the factory reset it suddenly appeared on top in the usage list with 45% usage, dropping my phone's battery from 90% to 40% in less than 1 hour.
My settings aren't really special, I only use sync when my phone is charging (regular charging, I don't ever use fast charging), I don't use AOD, Location or NFC, and I have disabled pretty much everything that can be disabled through the phone itself, without using a package disabler. Also, my screen resolution is on 720P.
I love the batterylife on my s7 edge with 7.0 btu. It's way better then mm

Hey!
I got my stock OP5 updated into Android Pie last January 26, 2019. After receiving the update and updating it, I seem to notice that the battery drains faster. Anyone experiencing similar?
I honestly haven't but I ended up doing a full wipe attempting to fix a problem that was actually hardware related. Have you tried clearing all cache in recovery?
Sent from my ONEPLUS A5000 using Tapatalk
No, not yet. Also, I can't do it right now since I have lot of files and important apps. I will let you know if I do it.
Here is an update on my battery status.
When you get the chance, I suggest you do a backup and do a full wipe. Stuff like this is rather common when you do a upgrade of the OS and this is why everyone here recommend a clean install when it comes to major updates.

Clearing just the cache (not data) won't lose any of your files. I don't think you lose anything really if I remember right. It may not fix the problem but it can't hurt to try. It should probably be done every now and then anyway.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Haven't really tried your suggestions yet since I am really busy these days.
Here is an update. My status is improving.
What happened was my battery was totally drained, 0 and off.l, when I woke up. Then, I charged it to 100 then turned it on. After that, my battery became tolerable.
Hi
Can I suggest you to download the naptime app from PlayStore (by Francisco franco?). It's just about to open the app ,activate it ,go down and choose which apps you won't put on sleep like Gmail/ WhatsApp/ messenger or whatever you need always up. All the other processes will be putted to sleep. Francisco Franco is the king of this things . Don't need to be rooted. You can have a Go. Today after use it a lot,I still 33% left. Hope it's help as the op5 is still a so great phone but for business they need to put it down.
Battery drain after pie update
Hi I'm currently using oneplus 5. I'm facing battery drain issue. When i charge my phone to 100 percent it starts. Draining first 8 percent very quickly. Almost in 10 mins. And after that it works normally. I'm getting just 5-5:30 hrs of sot with moderate usage. Its quite frustrating. Kindly someone help me with this. I've cleared my cache but no luck with it.

Thanks mate. I think my phone battery will work fine now.
It's amazing how much we actually use our phones in a given day, especially when we watch "videos"! Rate this thread to express how many hours of screen-on time you can get on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 Pro before depleting the battery.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!
Waiting for this. Someone pls share! Very curious how power efficient sd 675 is compared to 660
Great screen on time.
I got around 8hrs of screen on time :victory: . Don't have the screenshot at the moment though. After the recent update all the bugs are solved except the most annoying one... :crying: The earpiece cracking sound on call. Xiaomi confirmed me that they will surely going to solve the issue within a week but don't really know when they really will.

Ty all! Looks like it can average 8-10hrs on moderate/heavy usage and 10+ on light like most of its predecessors except with a noticeably way better gpu. Probably the perfect mid range soc that most users can be satisfied with
Screen on time is only 7 hour in normal use and also high ideal drain (restricted all app in background also).

So since there are a lot of mods available to improve battery life and memory management as well i thought it would be a good idea to have a place to talk about what fellow users are using on their daily driver to improve the most important things on pixel lol
Magisk modules scripts kernels build prop edits and you get the idea
So lets begin
for me, any custom ROM's battery life is better than stock ROM, the usual SOT is 7.5-8 hrs on average. If yours is much worse, the battery seems to be replaced.
As for the management issue, you can flash the custom kernel and expand the volume of ZRAM which is a conception of virtual.
