Hi All,
I recently fitted an android head unit to my 2007 bmw 3 series, I was just wondering if anyone here had experience these units (pics below)?
There are few issues I am having,
1) The idrive controller is only part functional, i.e. I can use up and down to move between the main menu and push down to select but the scroll doesn't work. Is there a way I can set this up?
2) How can I change which app runs when I press the 'Media' menu option? It currently opens a simple music app but I want it to open poweramp.
3) When I hold down the menu button it should display my oem car interface, the oem interface appears for a split second and only on half of the screen before disappearing - does anyone have this function working that can share their display settings as I suspect the issue is there.

Ok, after searching the internet I cam to this thread. As a BMW owner I am interested as to what you have got installed here. Can you let us know what you are running? Any links to what you have bought?

Hi all,
a couple of weeks ago i bought me a 8inch android headunit, fitted for vw/skoda/seat.
The sellers advert says its an Erisin DU8015, now when i'm looking on erisin's website, that model isn't listed at all ??
it is an MTCD LM unit, RK3188, 1gb ram... the usual. factory settings password is 3368
I want to know for sure, before updating to malaysk's rom which seems to be a lot better than the original software that it came with... before i install it and find out there might be issues, i would want to make sure i can go back to the original software if needed.
Does anyone have an idea ?

-when i google / youtube the erisin du8015 it seems to be a wince version, but it's actually an android 5.1.1 looking quite similar too joying etc. (a load of look-a-likes found when you search 8inch vw, but all with different hardware key layouts)
Sorry to bother you guys but figured I have tried two of the resident experts on this type of stuff with no luck, and I apologize that I am not very knowledgeable on this stuff. I totally redid my 84 Monte Carlo SS both outside and now finishing up the inside of it. While doing so I came up with the idea of having a dedicated head unit run a backup camera, air ride controls, and other accessory type of stuff. While having a second unit run the stereo and front facing DVR, I thought I was all set because it had Bluetooth and I avoided the issue of having my phone run bluetooth stereo on one while the other would be able to bluetooth for the air ride.
What I currently have is these two units, JY-UOS02N4PX5S and UK-JY-UOS01P4V. The UK-JY-UOS01P4V is the unit I was hoping to run the Ridetech air ride app on to control the air ride. But I can change how I have the two setup if it would make a difference, but think they are pretty much the same specs except that the UK-JY-UOS01P4V has fast boot which is part of the reason for choosing to run it on the accessory stuff. Thanks for your time and sorry for creating another thread but have searched through and not found anything related to my specific units. Here is a pic of the basic setup of them to mimic modern cars to a point.

Before asking people about things that are relatively new. I would suggest searching the comments in amazon. Also, play with the "settings" app. For my Chinese made version it's in settings>advanced>driving

I ve had this unit around two months now i did order a 2gb ram one but got a 1 gb one setting most of it up was easy like usb DAB dash cam front and rear camera used a different launcher as the default one wasnt that good
my problems with are
gps Volume just to low cant hear the voices when playing music just cant find the setting for it
google assistant doesnt hear me at all even if i use an external mic
cant use onscreen a/c controls it shows them and shows when i change temp etc but onscreen touch no go
cant hide bottom part of the screen where it shows a/c controls you can change it but still shows date etc .it gets in the way of some apps cuts the bottom of them off like sygic
havent found any updates for the unit or how to root it
have it installed in a vauxhall insignia 2013 tried different makes in the canbus menu to see if things change
i must say through its not the fastest but its ok if i got everything sorted .......
so any thoughts or hows your experiance with the unit

Hi all.
I installed an aftermarket headunit for my F10 535d with CIC system.
After installation by myself, the Android headunit itself works, but when I double click on the menu button/press My BMW try to get to iDrive menu, it just show black/blank screen.
I did not disconnect the battery when I install it, which I really regret about this.
Since I cannot go to the iDrive screen I cannot select AUX output to test the sound yet.
May I ask if anyone know how to get iDrive works properly on the aftermarket headunit?
Tried to contact the seller but no response yet.

Hi, can you provide system info ? Take snapshot of device infotainment - info of device..
Just want to report back so can help others.
The issue as simple as you need to go to Android menu->Factory Settings->Enter password your seller provided->Select your iDrive system (i.e. CCC/CIC/NBT/EVO) resolution (i.e. 640/1080)
Password can be 0000/1234/1314/7890/8888/9999 or others depends on which seller you got it from.
Once selected and go to MyBMW, you should have your iDrive screen.
If not, that could be other problem causing the Black/Blank screen.
