A lot less of 32GB storage on new S910F.

Hi.
I finally could change my other Note 4 as it was giving problems (Rooted). This time i wont root.
The problem im having is with the Interal Storage being much less than the advertised. I updated firmware with Kies and all went fine.
From 32GB i got only 24GB.
Is it not too much 8GB for the Software and how can i delete some apps without root?
Thank you.
You can't delete system apps without root.
Unfortunately with root i keep getting reboots.
Shame cannot be solved. I used Chainfire Root but reboots are random.
Make sure you use a correct root file.
What is your device type and product name?
Unfortunately you can't free up any space without root. I also have 24gb free space, but I solved my problem with a 64GB sandisk Extreme Plus.
I gave up on rooting my SM-N910H using CF-Auto-Root, random reboots also. Back to stock until another rooting method comes out.
I did double check the file i used for rooting from Chainfire and all the steps as i did wiith the Note 3 i used but this time no luck. I read in forums people with same problem when rooting Note 4.
My phone is the European Free N910F (no Carrier phone company).

root g870a ph2?

Someone I work with has the s5 active model g870a that has received the marshmallow 6.0.1 update. Something has happened that for some reason has wiped all of the pictures from her phone. I was going to see if I can recover anything from the phone, however I will need root access if I am going to examine the empty parts of the drive to see if I can recover anything. Does/can anyone tell me an effective rooting method for this phone? Does anyone have any idea how I can attempt a recovery of the photos without root?
*Edit*
I see there is a cf autoroot for SM-G870W. I feel like if I try this method I'm going to be looking at a bricked phone.
It can not be rooted, live and learn.... bu next time...

Click to collapse
if you are able to downgrade and root the files will be over written by the downgrade and root method both leaving them more than likely gone
so pretty much you have to find a no root program that is capable of recovering them in oreo
Do you know by chance any software that really works without rooting? Thank you!!
Did you check your backups? Try to find an app that scans for deleted files, or a terminal command. Device manager most likely wiped the space.. probably shouldn't reboot the phone either..

Root Samsung S7 Edge without wipe. (To recover Files with DiskDigger)

Hello XDA community,
Im a noobie when it comes to rooting, thats why i need help...
I deleted some files that i want to recover on my Samsung S7 Edge 2-3 years ago, this device has Android 7.0. (Never updated)
There is a lot of apps such as Disk Digger that offer you to recover every single file but the device must be rooted to access 100% on the internal memory.
Right now my Samsung S7 Edge is not rooted but i need to root to recover this files, so my question is, there is anyway of rooting without factory reset, or there is anyway of doing a fully backup of the internal memory of my device without touching the partitions so then i can try recovering my files later with this apps?
I hope someone can help me...
Regards

Help Requested: Rooting a Snapdragon Galaxy S8 (Android Pie) to Recover Lost Photos

Hi all,
My grandma recently passed away and her phone contains precious memories of her and our family. I found out that she accidentally deleted her entire gallery without realizing it before passing away and there doesn't seem to be a straightforward to try and recover lost data without rooting her phone.
I researched how to root an S8 but so far have not found a straightforward way to root the phone without potentially bricking the device. Would appreciate it if there is a way to safely root the device to help recover her photos?
Thanks for reading
As far as I know, there are some apps on the playstore that can recover photos without root (I've used DiskDigger and worked out OK). If you root, I think formating the device is inevitable and will probably just make the problem worse.
