So i bought a Pixel2 and want to use my S7 edge with no sim. After i did a factory reset on the phone it tells me it can't activate it and my only option is emergency call. Is there anyway around this?
nevermind figured it out, had to remove the sim that was in it as i got a new sim with the new phone.

Hello, I planning to buy a Galaxy S7 Edge with dual-sim and have read that originally only one sim of two can be active (other stays inactive). So my question would be : Is there a ROM in which would be active both sim-cards ? Thanks for little help.
That's correct. If you are on a call with SIM 1, SIM2 won't be inactive.
I'm not sure if there's any way to change this. I would guess it's a hardware/firmware function that cannot be modified.
Hi Folks,
I have a dual sim Samsung S7 Edge SM-G935FD which is a dual sim. I bought with the intention of one day using dual sims however I currently only use one.
Is there away to turn of the sim identification icon in both messages and call logs when only using one sim. Its kind of annoying.
Unfortunately I am limited to not posting links so here is the image example below fill in the tt to the link.

I just bought a factory unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, it has the dual sim slots and is the SM-G9350 model. Now, the person who sold it to me said it works on Verizon, and everywhere I search it says it should be compatible. But when I put my Verizon SIM card in, which is already activated, it isn't saying I have service. It recognizes there is a SIM and that it is Verizon, but it says like cellular network unavailable. Am I doing something wrong? I've never bought a factory unlocked phone, I know nothing about it, like where is it from? How does it work? It doesn't even have samsung keyboard or anything. Please help!!!
Did you search the IMEI to see if the phone is lost/stolen? I bought a S7 Edge and the same thing happened to me... I called the network (Telus) and they informed me that it was a reported phone so I can't use it. Kicker is that they can't even contact the original owner! So I had to root it and installed Xposed, now I'm stuck on how to unlock the network or change the IMEI

I did, the imei isn't coming up anywhere because the phone is from Hong Kong or something. But the seller had it activated with tracfone.
I wanted to find out following;
Is every S7 Edge Hardware capable of using dual SIM? I was wondering if I buy dual SIM tray for S7 Edge should I just be able to put into SIM cards provided the phone is unlocked and get service on both cards. I know it sounds too far-fetched but I was wondering did they really make separate motherboard for single Sim and dual SIM. I currently have AT&T S7 Edge with g935 U software on it. If something like that is possible I assume there would be some sort of software limitation or something needs to be enabled in the rom itself to make both SIM cards being recognizable , provided of course that phone has connections for two Sims.
I would seriously appreciate any input on this

no, not every model is dual sim capable. ON FD model. Part of the issue is that the phone must have two imeis for both sims to work together. most phones only have a single imei.
Hi Guys !
I have a Samsung S7 edge duos, for which i want to use two SIM cards - SIM 1 is my home SIM, and SIM 2 is a Global roaming SIM with data and Voice.
My question is whether its possible to set my phone in such a way that when I go on roaming i want my SIM 1 to deactivate data services and SIM 2 data services to kick in, since this a global SIM.
Is there an App for that or is there some kind of settings for the same.
Help in this regard would be highly appreciated.
Thanks
John
Not sure if you can do this, maybe with a task scheduler? Best choice is just to manually set your SIM2 to be the main SIM.
The only thing that might work is to call transfer sim 1 to sim two so that any calls received will ring on sim 2 which you can select as the active.
You can not cross connect the apns since they are linked to different sim cards.
Did you try all the dual sim manager apps? they say they do just that!!!
