Hi.
I need help because my Axon7 is bricked.
I first installed JPver ROM, and apply OTA update. But it was bricked.
My Axon 7 stops on logo when I turn on the power.
And I used Miflash to solve the problem, but I do not know how to do one process.
So, I don't know how to Enable USB Debugging.
Is there a way to turn on USB debugging without booting up?
Please help me, and thank you for your help.

You don't need USB debugging, you have to enter EDL. While the phone is off, hold both volume buttons and insert the USB cable (it has to be already connected on the PC) on the phone at the same time. Then use MiFlash with a FULL_EDL package

Thanks for your help.
I understood and tried it.
However, an error related to "hello packet" occurred and it failed.
So I will try it on another PC.
Thank you.

Like topic says. Was doin' it via LG PC Suite. Now it's only LG logo on my phone. Any ideas what should I do?
Are you planning to install custom ROMs on your phone?
If so, check this out:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16783348&postcount=1
Instead of doing this:
Prepare the phone by enabling USB Debugging by going to Settings>Applications>Development>Enable USB Debugging and connect the phone to the computer via USB cable and let Windows install any drivers it needs.

Do this instead:
Hold down volume down and plug in the USB cable and 'download mode' should come up on the screen. Let windows install any drivers it needs. Then launch software update.

Hope it fixes your problem and device
Same thing happened to me, bricked my device, took it to phone shop they flashed the board and it worked again, think i could have just entered download mode and reinstalled but, i was a noob then still am tbh
Just put your phone into download mode.
Flash fastboot.
Then reflash your ROM!!
ALL DONE XD
Any
You can flash any ROM you want via fastboot and any failed attempts won't completely brick your phone.
I've had it working for a long time, then my PC quit recognizing my N7 2012 intermittently. I thought it was a buggy ROM so I tried another. Same problem, so I wiped it and flashed stock 5.0. Same problem
It doesn't recognize it at all anymore, but I can plug in my N5 and N9 and they work great. Has this happened to anyone?

Did you try reinstalling the drivers? Download official Google ADB/USB drivers and install them through Device Manager.
Yep, did all that. The same driver runs my other nexus devices fine. I wish I could remember what the Windows error message says...something like 'unplug and plug it in again, if that doesn't work then replace the device'.
Make sure you enable USB debugging on your tablet. And first time you do that and connect it to PC, it should ask you for sth like RSA fingerprint. Accept that and it should work.
stuck in boot loop

I see where on a lot of replies that the tablet needs to be in USB debugging. If it's in boot loop, how can you do that? My Vista won't even recognize the tablet any more!
Ok it started working again, so I quickly downloaded the 5.1 image to flash. I got through it but now it just shows the google logo forever. I can get into the bootloader via the hardware keys, but the n7 isn't recognized as a fastboot device, so I can do nothing else with it....
What Windows tells me when I plug it in is this: "The last USB device you plugged in to this computer malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it"
In device manager it says this: "Unknown USB Device (Device Descriptor Request Failed)"
I can get it into recovery, but it just shows our little android friend laying on his back with a red triangle.

Try getting into Fastboot. Hold Power button to turn it off. Hold Power + Volume Down button to get to bootloader. Try using Nexus Root Toolkit when you get there or try getting into recovery and flashing something.

Why can't you get into the bootloader with the hardware keys? To get into recovery in your situation, Hold Power Button + Volume Up(for one second only) and the recovery should pop up.
I can get into the bootloader. Just can't get the device to be recognized bu the pc, so O never succeed at flashing anything.

Try using a different USB cable or port, or even try doing all this on an alternative PC.
Its the same on my laptop and desktop, all usb ports, 3 different cables...
I'm starting to think the n7's usb port is going bad perhaps.

It could be, try taking it to the local service.
Hi,
A friend of mine gave me his LG Spirit H440 with the boot error: Secure booting error
In his words he tried to update the software, the phone started to lag and after a reboot the error occurred.
The guy is simple user so installing custom recovery or rooting are out of the question.
Here is a video I made of the problem:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fONioh6uNms
After removing the battery the phone starts for 2-3 seconds with Secure booting error and then powers off. After that it cannot start again until the battery is removed and then everything repeats.
I tried to connect it to the PC with Windows 8.1 and installed LG drivers, but nothing happens. It's not recognized.
Also tried to enter download mode with Vol Up and connecting the USB cable, but again it just displays the error and shuts down.
Is this soft or hard brick? I'll be grateful for any help and guidance.
Try to set it in "upload mode" and flash stock rom kdz
Sent from my LG-H440n using XDA-Developers mobile app

how did you solve this crappy error??
No I didn't manage to find a solution and no one was able to help me.
I returned it to my friend and he bought a new phone.
Sorry.
1. Power down the phone.
2. Connect USB cable to computer.
3. Hold Volume DOWN and insert the USB cable.
4. ??
5. Profit.

im sorry for ignorance but FastBoot=Upload mode?
Same problem, is there a BOARD DIAG option for this phone?
Hi everyone,
I see this is an issue that is being extensively talked about but after trying many solutions proposed by many users I am still out of luck, there is no way I can connect my device to a PC. USB debugging is on, USB config is set to MTP, USB drivers are installed.... but still, no luck, won't connect.
This means that I cannot even unlock the bootloader the official way since the phone goes undetected. I am on MIUI 7 Global Stable MALCNDE and I cannot upgrade to MIUI 8.... because if I reboot to stock recovery from Updater, the phone will reboot to a fancy diagram advising me to plug in a USB cable. Also, if I try to reboot to recovery by holding power/vol +, the phone boots in some terrifying recovery in chinese, with only four options that are translated. One of them is recovery and if I click on it.... I get that fancy looking diagram.
So please, any advice on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks.
Did you tried the official MiFlash app? http://api.bbs.miui.com/url/MiFlash
Hi, I'm an OnePlus 6T owner and I have problem. I recently broke the display of my phone and now the screen can't turn on. Is there a way to extract the files from the phone? My default mode for connecting to a computer is charging and I can't simply transfer the files to my PC. Also, I don't think I have USB debugging on. If anyone knows a method that I can try, please post it.
I don't know if this requires usb debugging to be on but trying "adb pull" might work.

It does.
The first thing I do is turn on USB debugging on all my phones.
Right after BL unlock and root that is.
