Hi all
Is there any custom rom that installs/support the samsung framework?
I'd love to set the tab on JB, but also need the all-share (samsung-link) application to work
Thanks
Why would you need Samsung allshare? there are a lot app that do the same (better) BublePnp, Pixel Media Server,

Samsung UE46F6400
http://skp.samsungcsportal.com/inte...q=10734&gubun=I&tabStatus=s&status=&step_no=3
But it only works on JB
Many thanks for that information
Mine is UE40ES6100W and i've no fullscreen/mirroring option on my TV menu.
I've wi-fi direct and it pairs but i just can't do anything that i already done with stock video app, only watch movies and in my case without subtitles so i use BubblePNP wich is excelent for that.
Just for curiosity i've investigated and stumbled into http://www.samygo.tv/
This weekend i'll search a little deeper to see what's this and what can we do with it.

Hello, I was wondering if there are some possible evolutions, of any kind that would be possible in order to do anything more with LG G2's Quickwindow.
While it seems to have produced rather mixed reviews, I like it and get feeling from the sole 3 screens available, that there could be a lot of potential to such feature, if only it were open.
Has anyone tried to add watchfaces, or to display notifications (sms/e-mail), to add features (shuffle/repeat) to the music screen, or even to create custom screens? I'd love it if this feature were to be expanded to something more than just a cool way to answer calls...

yea there's this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622144 and you can use the same method to try and add other things but I don't think there's much more that can be done

That seems to be a decent workaround, but it looks very time-consuming; i'll probably wait for a true opening of the the quickwindow app, if it ever comes
Haha I just accidentally found a function. In quickwindow mode push and hold volume down for 3 seconds (it should open camera)

Here is a post on the LG developers forum( click Mobile Forums>General, First post), that shows the code needed to utilize the quickwindow feature. No SDK ever apparently, but this may be helpful. Also posted today is this which shows that QCircle will get an sdk, so maybe we can use that and change the sizing and shape? I am not a developer, just an interested party, so let em know if this helps or not.

Install a custom rom with note 7 funcions like this rom :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-...sse-s-note-7-port-s7-edge-flat-t3449017/page1
Then you can do it with every picture from your gallery
Head over to the Mods section.
A developer created Xmod or something and it allows control of images and additional messaging apps on the AODisplay
I keep reading many different things, like any android above kitkat have this, that it's called allshare on Samsung, that you can use bluetooth instead.
Can anyone confirm I can mirror the screen of this phone to my Samsung TV?
Thanks
no you cannot mirror the screen. But you can share photos, video and music through Quick Connect.

Yes, galaxy a can share a screen. Miracast supporting
After introducting the new features in screen cast function in miui10 beta, the screen cast function seems to be broken (Attached screenshot, stays at that screen). It is not able to find Smart TV on same network.
But apps like youtube, google photos are able to find my TV on network and cast to it.
Anyone else facing the same problem ?
Any solutions and suggestions are welcome..

Went through a few posts on mi forum, seems it's a issue with miracast.
P.s. i switched to custom rom and will stay till this is fixed...
any update on screencasting fix?
Im rooted but prefer to stick with stock rom (my apps cast too but no screencasting...wouldnt have bought another new xiaomi given theres no hardwire video out solution had I known I couldn't cast wirelessly.
thanks!!
Solution found on Poco F1 with MIUI 11.0.5.0 Global Stable
Hey,
I found a solution for the problem.
The new Cast-function also doesn't find my Chromecast.
But the old function is still there. Phone is NOT rooted.
I managed to place a shortcut on homescreen with Nova Launcher. With Nova you can place a shortcut that starts almost any Android-activity by your choice.
1. Use Nova, tap longly on homescreen, then choose Widgets and there Nova activities
2. Then you scroll to Settings, tap on it, scroll either to Wifi-Display (Settings$Miracast Settings Activity) or Streaming (Settings$WifiDisplaySettingsActivity) and choose one of them
3. Restart your phone
If you don't want to use Nova check for other apps that can choose Android activities and place them on the Homescreen.
Questions welcome.
I am also experiencing the same issue with my Xiaomi Mi9 on MIUI Global 11.0.2
thanks for the shortcut tip but that is NOT my problem. there is no probel finding my chromecast or clicking connect. connect responds but goes back to the selection scrreen which is precisely the same problem all owners of recent xiaomi phone users of stock Mi ron are experiencing. Xiaomi needs to fix this no one else can. my earlier xiaomi devices pre- Android pie have no casting issues. xiaomi wanted to be samsung ... maybe they've arrived judging from the fact that they too are fine with updates crippling phone functionality.
Shortcut works with my phone

The difference is, that I get the former functionality, and I can cast my screen directly without any third party app and absolutely stable, as it was on MIUI 10.
So, maybe give it a trial.
Hello ,
came here to confirm screen cast does not work on mi9se also after miui 11 update.
Toggle comes off after you set it to on, and it never searches for any devices. I mean not even a search dialog pops up.
Tottaly worthless..

hi! same problem here. I found out after trying a few things that the problem is caused by My TV wired connection. when I connect My TV through the same wifi network as My phone, the Screencast of Miui 11 works just fine( Even better than in Miui 10 i'd Say) and i don't need any other app.
what do You think? could it be any other solution?
Seems to depend on device

It seems to be, that some devices work and some not. My Chromecast is connected to the same WiFi network as my phone. But it doesn't work with the new functionality. It's quite weird, that I find my neighbors TV, that's NOT connected to my network (at least I hope so :cyclops
So far I think, it's a question of streaming technology. As long as your device supports Miracast, it works fine. If the device uses another technology as for example Google Cast, it doesn't work.

Update:
I follow this steps and made it work, at least in my case:
1) I connect my tv through wifi instead of using the wired connection.
2)I tryed the cast option of miui 11 and it found my tv at once.
3) Once again a i connect my tv using the wired connection.
4)I tryed the cast opcion of miui but this time, instead of letting it search for the tv, i select the tv from de recent device list and it worke just fine.

It will connect if ur tv supports miracast.
1. I have already connected through wifi and miui cast didn't recognise it as my tv had Chromecast receiver.
2. Google apps like YouTube, photos, and video players like MX player are able to find my tv, but not the cast function of miui.
