I keep reading many different things, like any android above kitkat have this, that it's called allshare on Samsung, that you can use bluetooth instead.
Can anyone confirm I can mirror the screen of this phone to my Samsung TV?
Thanks
no you cannot mirror the screen. But you can share photos, video and music through Quick Connect.

I love the concept behind android beam: sharing videos, pictures with other nfc phones , nfc enables the connection between the devices and then the transfers are made via BLUETOOTH wth google, is ridiculously slow , so samsung knew better and they making the transfers via wifi direct halleluhjah! the horrible thing is that they named their sharing service sbeam (like we need more branding) and its only for galaxy s phones with ioswiz, i mean touchwiz is there a way to make android beam on the nexus work only with wifi direct (like samsung does) ?
someone have a Galaxy S phone we can just rip the apk from maybe? seems like the simplest solution??
then it's just a question of dropping the apk on both devices and giving it a test... no ?? I'de be game. not really put the beam to good use yet !
IMO... Google needs to address this for if it is not on every wifi direct compatible device, what good is it?
"I made a video for you. OK, here... wait... ummm, go to http://whatapainindieass.com and download the apk and sideload it. Are you done yet? Ok I'll wait. How 'bout now?"

There are a couple of apps that will do this, albeit without being initialized by nfc. Search for wifi direct or WiFi shoot.
I agree that such an app would be extremely useful. It would be nice to use NFC to set up a Bluetooth or (even better) Wi-Fi connection between two devices to transfer files.
Some app that runs on all NFC devices (not just Samsung branded ones) would be extremely useful.

Hi all
Is there any custom rom that installs/support the samsung framework?
I'd love to set the tab on JB, but also need the all-share (samsung-link) application to work
Thanks
Why would you need Samsung allshare? there are a lot app that do the same (better) BublePnp, Pixel Media Server,

Samsung UE46F6400
http://skp.samsungcsportal.com/inte...q=10734&gubun=I&tabStatus=s&status=&step_no=3
But it only works on JB
Many thanks for that information
Mine is UE40ES6100W and i've no fullscreen/mirroring option on my TV menu.
I've wi-fi direct and it pairs but i just can't do anything that i already done with stock video app, only watch movies and in my case without subtitles so i use BubblePNP wich is excelent for that.
Just for curiosity i've investigated and stumbled into http://www.samygo.tv/
This weekend i'll search a little deeper to see what's this and what can we do with it.

I use stock rom. I can cast screen to my roku and chromecast work perfect. Note that you have to accept agreement in the connect app to enable cast screen.
Thank you
The reason for this research is because i have a Led Tv with native screen mirroring support. I have a moto g 2nd gen. I installed miracast & when i tried to screen mirror with tv it failed, whereas my wife has a samsung a3 & she was able to do screen mirroring without any devices such as roku or chromcast. Then i found out that mirascast or any screen mirroring app will not work on moto g. Hence wanted to check if moto x play will connect with my screen mirroring enabled led tv without roku or chromcast.. really sorry for bugging you.. Thanks fod ur patience..
My previous phone was, a very humble, Samsung galaxy pocket , it has this feature, wich I use quite frequently, that streams the images and videos via WiFi to the tv with out any need of a third party app.. I miss this feature a lot!
Does the Moto G4 has this feature? becouse if it does I can't find it, and if it doesn't, is there an app that can do this?
Cheers m8s!

Depending on your make of TV i've used the "Cast" functionality to do this in the past. I think it uses miracast however, but when you play video/open photo's it just works. I have a Sony Bravia however.
decided to give screen mirroring (sharing/casting, etc., seems that manufacturers interchange these terms!) a try for the first time but am not having much luck.... i've enabled screen mirroring on my tv (tcl 4ktv), it detects my galaxy view, which i then select, now what?
when i launch the view's screen mirroring app i just get a page that says: screen sharing - you can share the screens of your other devices with you galaxy view using screen mirroring. device name: galaxy view. nothing else.
so how do i get this to work? or are there 3rd party solutions gv owners are using? thanks!
try downloading Miracast from google play store. That app works on my GVT.
also make sure Power Saving is OFF.

galaxy view does support miracast. though ONLY 720p .
If your TV is set to 1080p, you will get stuck half way on a 'status' screen.
I use miracast on this device with Samsung TV & Roku's and have no issues.
---- Also make sure you have the latest version of Samsungs Quick Connect.
