Try Huawei Service Repair ROM for your device VNS-L31 C432 :
http://androidhost.ru/u2
Upgrade guideline :
http://androidhost.ru/u8
At first, extract with Huawei Update Extractor boot.img , cust.img, and both recovery from Service ROM, then flash it via fastboot. Now you can try install Service ROM via dload form SD card. Please read the guideline carefully!
( this method helped save my VNS-L21C432B381 , of course with Service ROM for VNS-L21)
Btw, its impossible to install Nougat OTA updates via TWRP or fastboot.
Good luck!

Help unbrick Mate 8 l29c636b521 nougat

I successfully upgraded my Mate 8 to nougat. Then I tried to root the phone. In the middle of flashing superSu, my phone suddenly rebooted and stuck on the bootloop. It never booted again. I tried searching for all the possibilities to unbrick it, but no hope. My mate 8 is bootloader-unlocked. My phone won't boot to trwp even I tried to fashboot flash the it. I really need help from the experts. Thank you all in advance.
I accidentally posted on the wrong subf-forum, please move this post over to the Q&A troubleshooting . thanks you
1.Turn off the phone
2.Connect pc usb cable
3.Hold power+vol down
u should see rescue bootloader page,
now u can flash twrp recovery (for emui5 of course) then u can boot into twrp and do the firmware flashing again

I did flash the 3.0.2.0-next twrp My phone won't boot to TWRP mode. I don't know if I should flash the stock nougat recovery.img and then flash the twrp.img ?
Was the 3.0.2.0-next right for the nougat ? thanks
After trying to flash twrp many times, the screen is always on " your device is booting now .. "
Did u tried frd-twrp for emui5?
https://mega.nz/#!xg8lVBgJ!4v0DbY-QLGtQVnYvTkTtIXRBmx5q-ZoJp90PSMqlh-U
If it didn't worked try to dload ur last emui4.x via SD card, sometimes it work

If you downloaded from the official TWRP app. It can't be use. You need twrp Nougat that given by @amin318
I successfully unbricked my Mate. It is fully working again. Thank you guys for the help. I really appreciate it.
Flash twrp, flash both update zip and hw_data side by side, reboot to recovery to do a factory reset and then system reboot wait few minutes and then boom, working Mate 8 again.
oh and one more question, im currently on the official beta b521, I found the b563 via the firmware finder.
There are 2 files, one OTA for 400mb, and the other OTA for 1.3 gb. which one should I download in order to upgrade to B563 ? And do I do it by the dload method ?

Is it possible to update to B381 (via OTA update) having a custom recovery?

Hi all,
I currently have a P9 Lite with VNS-L31C432B371 firmware installed.
Recently, I received the VNS-L31C432B381 update via OTA. Unfortunately, when the phone reboots into recovery mode, the update does not even start; instead, I get redirected to the custom recovery (TWRP 3.1.0.-2, system partition read-only) "homescreen".
Is there a way to update to B381 without wiping the entire phone?
Thank you for your time.
The OTA update system uses the EMUI stock recovery so no, there is no way you can update your phone through the updater by using the custom recovery

Yes.
Download your build's update.zip, extract the zip to desktop, you'll then have an update.app (you probably need the full ~2GB build, not OTA, e.g I use B370);
Extract recovery.img from the update.app via HuaweiUpdateExtractor;
boot to bootloader;
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img.
Done.

I succeeded in extracting and installing the recovery from the update.zip. Unfortunately the OTA failed anyway.
At this point, I think I should just wipe the phone and install the complete update from here.

Well I , like you, had a custom recovery. The 3-button method didn't work for me and even after restoring the stock recovery I was unable to install the update.
I unpacked the Update.APP file and flashed through fastboot the BOOT, RECOVERY, VENDOR and SYSTEM .img files and I was succesful but now I have the Model number as generic_a15 and Build number NRD90M test-keys. I can only assume some of the other img files carry the information about my phone. At the moment is stable enough but I can't open the Security menu.
If someone has any idea on how to flash the other img files, please let me know

I only have old oeminfo.img packages, do you know how I can build one? There is a PRODUCT.img but it is considerably bigger than the oeminfo package that I have seen.
I flashed all the old B370 files, update.zip and update...hw_eu.zip, with DC Phoneix (a non free tool but saved me from.a bricked phone). After that, I flashed the new package and got the Security settings and Developer Options to work again.

[SOLVED] How to unroot, relock bootloader and flash EMUI ?

Hello,
I tried to flash the RessurectionRemix ROM and it was working well except the LTE so I decided to get back to EMUI.
Problem, i took the backup of bluesmoothie and flashed it but the phone never finish to boot.... (I didn't wipe anything, i thought that the restore function of TWRP was doing everything, am I wrong ?)
Moreover, the TWRP recovery can't access the content of my ext sdcard where the RR ROM is located and even if i put this rom to internal storage, i got the ERROR 7 (this is for deive: can; you have generic_a53)
Do you know what can I do to :
- Come back to EMUI
- Unroot the phone
- Re-lock the bootloader
The files of the TWRP backup are located on the sdcard, if i wipe data/system/cache, will it delete these files ?
Infos :
- Bootloader unlocked
- TWRP of Garak (but still have ERROR 7 now)
Thank you very much
First you need to flash the stock recovery in fastboot. After that you need to put the update.app in a folder called dload in your internal storage.

Okay but where can I find the stock recovery ?
Then, do i have to flash it via ADB like i did with TWRP ?
After that, where can I find the "update.app" that you are talking about ?
If i'm right, you're telling me that i can't go back to EMUI without flashing the stock recovery ?
That is correct. First use firmware finder to get the update.app. There is a firmware extractor tool for Huawei firmware. Use it to extract the recovery.img and flash with fastboot.

First of all, thank you very much for your anwser, it's very kind of you.
If i understood everything, that's what i have to do :
- Download one of the Huawei firmwares with Huawei Finder (Better get the B100 or another one ?)
- Extract the recovery.img with the update.app from Huawei Finder
- Flash the stock recovery with ADB
Then :
- I put the update.app that i get through the Huawei Finder in the dload folder of the internal storage (If i flash the stock recovery, will I be able to put files in the storage ?)
- I reboot the phone in recovery and normally, it should install the EMUI rom
At the end, my phone will no longer have a custom recvery, bootloader unlocked and root status ?

Yes, that's correct. But you have to put update.app in dload folder on your SD card as far as I know. That's how I did it.
I couldn't find B100 on Firmware Finder and I've got relocked bootloader on Nougat.
Yes, you will need to copy the update.app to internal storage in TWRP, then flash the stock recovery. After flashing you need to hold all three buttons when booting (just like getting into TWRP. After update you will have no custom recovery, no root, and it should lock bootloader.

I still have the warning message "your phone is unlocked", is it normal ?
When i boot into recovery it's displaying "eRecovery" and ask me to download the new update of recovery but it fails when getting the package. I can only reboot and turn off :/

You shouldn't have that message anymore.
Are you sure that the update.app got installed? @wangdaning told you to put it on dload folder in internal memory. I don't know if that is right or if it works, but I've put it in dload folder on sdcard when I've installed update.app.

The problem is that the phone doesnt finish to but anymore... i can't do things in menu.
When you talk about SD card, it's the external sd card ? Because i don't have access to it anymore, but i have the partition SD Card
When you installed the B340 update, you seen the percent growing up and had a "success" message ? Because, for me, the update is stuck at 5% and then it reboot the phone

Yes, I mean external sdcard.
Reinstall TWRP and restore bluesmoothie's backup and then flash the stock recovery again.
I didn't have any issues with installing the B340 firmware. It was installed successfully.
Try to follow the steps I've used. You shouldn't have any problem.

Okay i'm going to try it right away
My external sd card doesnt show up anymore when i connect it to my PC, i don't know why
I mentioned internal SD card because you said your external was not recognized, but you might try putting the dload folder on external. I have done it both ways. Sometimes the update through stock recovery is finicky. If it doesn't finish run it again. Also, make sure your USB is disconnected, as may Huawei users have mentioned this causes it to freeze. If it still fails, try dloading a different update from firmware finder.
Did it work?
I didn't have so much time these days but I did it and it worked for the 1st part (flash bouesmoothie's backup). Tomorrow I'll do the final step! Thank you again
Here I am :
1 : flashed stock recovery from B350 and i don't have the "unlocked" message anymore !
2 : The update B350 made it, "update success"
3 : It doesn't boot for now
4 : The boot doesn't end
-----
1 : flashed TWRP recovery, launched a factory reset in the same time
2 : Phone booting again on B100
-----
1 : flashed stock recovery from b350
2 : flashed b350 update
3 : Everything is fine !
Thank you for your help !!!

Hello,
use rollback method.
First revert your DATA filesystem from
F2FS to EXT4 using TWRP, then follow guide
in UNIFIED HELP THREAD..
Here the link..

Yes, the rollback package will give you
c900 global firmware. From there install
B160 for dual sim, B161 for single sim..
When you will stay with this firmware,
update using updater stock or use Firmware Finder..
Follow the guide..
Regards..
Edit: sorry B160 and B161 are firmware persent in C432 Europe area-
Dont know the one for your cust/region (C212).
Let google do the work for you..

Hello,
according with the guide you flashed
wrong package...
You need FULL OTA UPDATE package, it must be
1.7/1.9 gbytes in size wich cames with data..
Flash new one or repeat the whole process.
I found this firmware on internet,
but do not assume any responsability.
If you want give a try here the direct download..
Check it with an antivirus/antimalware software..
http://download-c.huawei.com/download/downloadCenter?downloadId=92443&version=361914&siteCode=mx
If all will go in the right direction at the end
reboot to e-recovery (vol+ + Power)
and make a factory reset.
Hope this time will work..
Best regards

Hello man,
really dont know if i badly explained..
My friend to bring back to MM
you have to strictly follow the guide i posted you..
So you need VNS-L23C212 rollback package then
extract update.app, create a "dload" folder in SD and
pur in it. Turn off and proceed with three buttons method*****
When finished you will have C900 firmware..
(that's a LIMBO firmware)
Delete update.app from SD card...(not dload folder)
Now take tour VNL-L23C212Bxxx firmware,
extract update.app, put in dload folder in SD card
and repeat with three buttons metod.
If all take right direction at end of flash, after booting,
reboot to e-recovery (vol up+ power button) and make a factory reset. Now you have MM firmware..
That's the guide say...
*****= vol up+vol down+power button until It start flashing
That's all my friend...
The other way is to flash L23C212 oeminfo.zip (if you find It)
with TWRP, then VNS-L23C212Bxxx with dload and three
button method. At the end factory reset..

Hello dear,
We will try to make your last one work
system, ie the L21C432B504.
Do you still have access to the system?
Do you have access to TWRP?
Do you have access to fastboot?
You have tried to install the oeminfo file
and this may have closed the bootloader,
so I invite you first, even if it says that it is unlocked, to re-unlock it,
but not before you have made backups of your stuff, as a factory reset will be done.
Reply me when you ready ...
here is your answers brother.

relock bootloader+rom stock+encryption unsuccessfull !!

Hello, I have a 2016 p9 lite. I would like to sell it. So I would like to re-lock the bootloader and re-install the original rom.
build number: VNS-L31C432B412
version of EMUI: 5.0.1
Android 7.0 version
How should I do it ? Where can I get the original rom?
Currently I have twrp elite 3.1.1.1 installed and it refuses to boot on the system because: "encryption unsuccessfull: encryption was interrupted and can't complete. As a result, the data on your phone is no longer accessible.
Please help

Try to install Service ROM from SD card using dload method.
Link:
https://androidhost.ru/41d
Follow instructions in file "ReleaseDoc". (Read everything carefully before doing anything).
Through this process, your data will be deleted and bootloader will be locked again.
Dload method works with Stock Recovery only, you have to install Stock Recovery first.

Hey dude !!
So you bricked the device ....
I don't know why but if you want B412 firmware
you can use @-Alf- guide and re-upgrade via Firmware Finder
to B370 fullota-mf-pv first, then to B412 fullota-mf...
Or download a previous from B412 firmware (ex: VNS-L31C432B410 fullota-mf)
and use HuRupdater method to flash the firmware.
Extract then stock recovery from B410 via Huawei Extractor and flash it via TWRP.
Re-update finally to B412 using Firmware Finder.
I can help you doing this, worked on my ex device but i can't guarantee 100%.
Cheers

Please read carefully, Maestro :
"I would like to sell it. So I would like to re-lock the bootloader and re-install the original rom."
Piece.
Hello,
I reinstalled the custom rom that I found on the net: C432B414 with Hurupdater.
It works.
However, the bootloader is still unlocked ... however, I would like to return to the factory configuration with the bootloader locked.

I have the stock recovery install :

I am currently downloading the file indicated by this link : https://androidhost.ru/41d
In the file provided by Alf, there are two files:
'HUAWEI P9 Lite Android7.0 rollback to Android6.0 operation instruction'
'HUAWEI VNS-L31C432B416 Software Upgrade Guideline'
which one do I choose

Unpack downloaded .zip package, you will see two files - ReleaseDoc and Software. Open "Software" and unpack SDUpdate_Package.tar.gaz. Transfer file dload to SD card and follow instructions - there is 'Software upgrade guidline' in file ReleaseDoc.
Edit.:
You can also safely lock BL with OEMINFO flashing and rollback to A6:
-Download OEMINFO:
https://mega.nz/#!xhEwFYLZ!Sv2nB5GERB_js76sAUWxj8hQgsjnf_YPobVbtrxpCew
Transfer it to the SD Card.
Download VNS-L31C432B160 fullupdate.zip:
http://update.hicloud.com:8180/TDS/data/files/p3/s15/G1164/g104/v66015/f1/full/update.zip
Create a folder dload on your SD , unpack downloaded .zip file and copy it to the dload folder.
Install TWRP 3.1.0-2:
https://mega.nz/#!EsESQQhK!uc_lfXEfDW6U7Lq2VeNOYq5OWUID0G-YyhK-oUL4deU
using command
fastboot flash recovery2 twrp.img (OVER eRECOVERY!) , boot in TWRP, fĺash oeminfo.zip , go back to TWRP's main menu, select Reboot and Power Off. Then use three button combo and flash firmware from dload. Your phone will running A6 with locked bontloader. If you want, you can upgrade back to A7 via OTA update or using Fipmware finder.
