I'm living in North East Asia at the moment and grey imported an S8+ SM-G955F. All looks to be Ok however it's CSC is ATL so I'm getting a few Vodafone apps from Spain. I can use my local SIM but am concerned a little that I'm relying on Vodafone Spain to push out updates? (or because it's unlocked does Samsung do it?)
Could I flash a BTU software version over this? Will I then get updates for BTU going forwards? It would also remove the Vodafone crapware?
Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. I bought s7 edge in Thailand.
I was trying to find its stock firmware to get my phone a new fresh start. So far, I only found a link to Singapore firmware.
Here is from my phone
free upload
I heard you can flash single Sim firmware into dual one, but I was just afraid and prefer original firmware (before I root it soon hahaha)
Any idea where I can find one for my Thailand model.

OLB covering Malaysia/Philippines/Singapore/Thailand/Vietnam. I believe your latest update is of February 2016
Download Phone INFO Samsung from playstore and look for the active CSC. It has got a country shown as well.
I have a FD version as well with XME (Malaysia) CSC. But from what I have researched, for Galaxy S7 Edge specifically, Samsung has been releasing OTA updates (three times; once a month since Feb) for OJV countries (Algeria, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Morocco, Nigeria, Oman, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia,South Africa, Syria, Tunisia, Turkey), XSG (united arab emirates) and EU countries (NEE=Netherland, DBT=Germany, LUX=Luxembourg so far)
I have decided to flash the DBT firmware as from the look of firmware updates trend, Galaxies with DBT receive the earliest and most frequent updates from Sammy. Everything is working fine. No Knox triggered. Not too sure about the warranty; i guess it doesn't matter that much since samsung only looks at whether your knox has been triggered.
Good luck
thank you
can I flash German firmware only PDA or i have to flash CSC and MODEM too?
Okay so this is a newbie question, I realise that.
I'll just get right to it. Facts:
I have a S7 Edge bought in Sweden (I live here) from the operator Telia
If I look at samfirmware or updato I can see that two specific Sweden-firmwares, operator "Tre (HTS)" and and one just called "Sweden (VDS)"
I can also see a firmware, that has not been updated since july, called "Nordic Countries (NEE).
So. I gathered that being that Telia doesnt have a specific release in the lists, Tre is not my operator and I dont know what "Sweden (VDS)" means I'd ask what I should use and flash?
I dont care about OTA:s, I want to flash when I choose to and manually..
How should I think and choose?
N
Go with Nordic Countries NEE. I've had NEE firmware on my S7E before I flashed custom rom. I don't know about VDS firmware but with HTS firmware you will get apps like Mitt3, Yelp and few more. Telia uses NEE firmware I remember when I got S4 from Telia I've had NEE firmware. Cheers!
I purchased my Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge via a third party seller. It was listed as new and sim-free factory unlocked. I received it today and notice that there is an EE app on the device and the Internet homepage is EE also. Other than that there is no other evidence of it being network branded. There is no network splashscreen for instance. The CSC code is G935FEVR1BPH1. Just thinking that if the device was unbranded there wouldn't be any reference to EE and worried that the device may have been interfered with. What do you think? Many thanks.
Yours is an international version. branding is different from unlocking, all phones come with a branded operating system.
Your phone is the latest firmware in the United Kingdom.
Thanks Cosmic Blue

Where did you get this "wise (not true) information"?
His phone is branded to EE -> UN-branded models don't have "operator specific" apps installed; the UN-branded phone in the UK is BTU
I live in the Netherlands; I've an UN-branded S7Edge -> PHN
In the Netherlands we've also "branded"-models:
VDF -> Netherlands Vodafone
TNL -> Netherlands T-Mobile
Download cpu-z and screenshot shot everything that I screen shot let's compare if it's fake some stuff will be totally off the chart check the finger print reader as well if it doesn't work and unlocks with ever finger then it's definitely fake
Many thanks henklbr and 102skysx. Indeed, my device was branded to EE in the UK. I successfully flashed BTU firmware and now have a totally unbranded phone. It was always factory unlocked as far as I am aware.
I also compared the screenshots and tested the fingerprint sensor and pleased to say my phone isn't a fake
Hello,
Yesterday I downloaded the Vodafone Italian Nougat firmware, flashed it and immediately as my S7E turned on I saw that the firmware was wrong.
In fact the firmware is from Germany No Brand, I already downloaded it again just to make sure that I didn't made any mistakes, flashed it again and I have the same problem.
Sammobile take up to 10 days to respond, So I'm asking if anyone else has this problem, or maybe can anyone upload the real Vodafone Italia Nougat firmware:
Model SM-G935F
Model name Galaxy S7 edge
Country Italy (Vodafone)
Version Android 7
Changelist 10422490
Build date Mon, 20 Feb 2017 06:27:00 +0000
Security Patch Level 2017-02-01
Product code OMN
PDA G935FXXU1DQBT
CSC G935FVFG1DQBT

Thanks, will download, flash and report back here
I downloaded that one myself some days ago and had no issues.
However, I am wondering why did you flash it if it was wrong. You can easily determine it by the filename.
Has your device been on OMN before?

Yes ofcourse, I an prepaid Vodafone SIM installed. The phone was not bought under any contract with Vodafone
the firmware is multi csc files with Germany is the main CSC. we cannot do anything with it. The only way i know how to change the csc fully to your country is via Samsung Service Center or you need to root the device and do it with samsung phoneinfo apps. Root and you will loose samsung pay function/secure folder and any knox related software like shealth
Usually the CSC changes accordingly to the sim inserted. Only if there's no corresponding csc it takes the default one in multi csc roms.
Please download Phone INFO ★Samsung★ and posts screens here to see what's really going on.
Here's the screenshot

Flash your original marshmallow firmware using the CSC. It will factory reset your device
Flash the latest Nougat firmware using the HOME_CSC from your original firmware (can be the marshmallow one or if you have an Nougat one, use this). Don't use the nougat CSC file anymore.
Unfortunately without a Single CSC file you are not getting back to your original CSC and a single CSC has not been published for Vodafone Italy. In case of multi CSC the system uses the CSC already applied or in case of change (since you've BTU at the moment) the standard CSC which is VD2 (Vodafone Germany) in this case.
The only way to change that is with root.

I said using CSC meaning the firmware included all the stuff of your firmware.
Sent from my SM-G935F using XDA-Developers Legacy app
Unfortunately that won't help as there's no firmware which only includes Vodafone Italy. There's only one with several European Vodafone settings and if you flash that onto a device with non-Vodafone CSC such as BTU it used the standard CSC included which is Vodafone Germany. I thought first different, too, unfortunately there's no way without root (tested it by myself).
Rooting is out of picture, because I don't want to loose warranty.
I'll try to download and flash Vodafone Italy MM, then flash it, after I'll flash again the nougat with the old MM csc.
Edit: in this case I'll wait for a few weeks until Vodafone Italy will release the proper csc file.
Thanks
Hi i have a 9500 S4 Exynos version, the international version, i recently upgraded to Lineageos but i want to go back to stock but i don't know which Rom to choose because of the region code. i live in dominican republic and i don't want to install the one for my country because it will probably be filled with bloatware from Claro (local carrier) and i don't know if it will probably lock the phone, the phone is factory unlocked by the way. Can someone can pass a link for a Stock rom running lollipop with the international csc?
Download CSC CAU from sammobile.com, but I cannot provide a link due to site rules. CAU is for countries in the Caucasus mountain range in Europe, and is probably your best bet to be bloat free. You may still wish to download the Dominican Republic firmware anyway, in case of issues with the CAU firmware.
I'll try that
