I got strange problem with my galaxy s8 exynos version unlocked. So, when i charge my phone with original adapter, notification moisture detected has been pop up. I already make sure that the port or even the cable are dry and clean.
I restart my phone, and try it again, and the notification pop up again. I connect my original adapter to wireless charge and no problem at all.
Then, when i change my the adapter with another phone adapter, but still using my s8 cable, my phone can charge. But when i using the original adapter, the moisture detected is come again. Any solutions ? Thank you.

i got a galaxy note 3 (sm-n900 exynos version ) 2 month ago ,the phone worked perfectly until yesterday , my gsn3 in not charging anymore,
the charging sign in the notification bar isn't there.
sometimes it displayed that the hdmi is connected/disconnected
or sometimes it displays that the phone is in dock mode
occasionally it also displays that usb is connected.
i checked if the phone is charging even if there is no sign of it in the notification. and it's charging but very very slowly.
i never rooted my phone.
i only used the original samsung galaxy note 3 charger.
never dropped it .
i did a factory data reset in the settings.(didn't resolve the problem).

Usb could be faulty, try another?
Have you been rough with plugging it in? - possible the pins are damaged.
When plug it into your computer - does it charge ok?

i tried the usb 2.0 charger of my old samsung galaxy 4 and the result is the same the charging sign in the notification bar is not there and it's charging very slowly.and even if i plugged it in the computer the result is the same.
I'd suggest bringing it back to the shop if you have tried other charging methods, probably a hardware failure of some variety.
When you say slow charging, how slow exactly?
Hi there,
I have a big problem with charging my Galaxy S4. It only charges with my notebook USB Port, my AC-adapter does not work.
In the battery menu I can see that AC is connected, when I plug my adapter in. But charging does not work with my device.
Over USB I can charge slowly. This isn't a software problem, I have done some resets and firmware changes since the problem.
Maybe my phone got a little bit wet earlier. Could this be the problem? Can I fix this with changing the USB port part of the hardware?

Yes, I tried another cable but had no success
I dunno if I can ask it here, but i don't charge over usb, i mean it just "hold" the power level for me. Is that normal ?
Is your AC outlet working ?
Having issue where S4 only charges with USB and vibrates when using AC charger
I've been having some issues with my S4. I did recently get it a little wet, but it's working fine in all cases except charging. I have my phone next to my bed charging every night. I noticed it was dead one morning, but I figured I didn't connect the charger properly. The next night I noticed it was vibrating every 5 seconds or so, but the phone had turned off due to a low battery. Very strange behavior.
I realized that it would start charging, but it would stop between 1-3 minutes. The the phone would vibrate and not charge.
I've ready MANY posts from others with the same issue and someone mentioned their phone charges over USB. Seemed odd, but I tried it and voila, my phone charged perfectly. I have many samsung cables, none of which work. It's definitely not the cable. I can plug a samsung cable into my phone connected to AC and it doesn't work. I pull the USB portion out of the AC charger and plug into a computer and it immediately and consistently charges. The battery holds its charge as expected, so it doesn't appear to be a battery issue.
I've tried the developer mode options - no luck.
I've tried bending the charging prong - no luck.
I've tried blowing out the charging port with compressed air - no luck.
I recently got an update pushed to my phone (Sprint), but I don't think it was happening right after the update. Seems like a likely software issue.
I did get my phone a little wet recently, actually it was my young children throwing water at me.
I've read so many posts and nobody seems to have a good answer for this issue. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Has anyone noticed that when you plug in the charging cable to your phone it keeps telling you to check charging cover.
i have tried the stock cord and a micro usb cord. both appear to say the same.
i have noticed this issue with my wife's note 3 is this something that is common with these new samsung devices

That notification has no correlation to the actual charging operation of the phone. It's just a reminder to close the door after you remove the cable. If it's giving you that notification mid charge or after inserting the cable, there may be a fault somewhere.
Since 4 Days i experienced something weird.
When i want to charge my Note 4 i connect the Fast Charger to it. It is recognized as Fast Charging devioce and the device starts loading. 5 seconds later the device stops charging, 1 sec after that it restarts charging. Then it stops after 3 seconds and then again it starts. Sometimes my note (instead of charging) opens the Gear Vr app or tells me it is connected with a dockingstation.
So i tried using my Galaxy s5 charger. the problem goes on...charging..stop..charging..stop...charging..stop..so i looked at my usb port and cleaned it....nothing..no dirt...with the s5 charger iam able to find a position in which the phone starts to charge.
any suggestions?

Try the Hama MO•38É.
The MO 38E has Quick Charging and Healthy Trickle Charging and is VERY ROBUST!
0-100% in just 35 Min for the Note 4 (don't blame me, if my information is wrong)
0-50 % in just 20 Minutes ☺☻
I don't want to advertise with it but i made good experience with the MO 38E!

This is a very weird issue. Best suggestion would be to bring it back to Samsung for repairs.
Before you send it back, try using a Blower or compressed air can to clean both the USB cable and the phone's micro USB port. Or maybe try a different Cable.
The problem sounds like a hardware issue because a) the second charger provides the same results, and b) there's a special position where charging commences - if I understood the OP right.
So I fear it's something like a bad soldering joint at the USB port. :/
Kenney: Try compressed air; maybe it's just a tiny fracture of metal sticking somewhere in the port.
this is why i use a Qi charger lol. nothing to break and the phone ports stay undamaged.

hy bro i am having the same problem that you mentioned so did you find a solution plz let me know.
This is a problem that is entirely too common on ANY phone that uses a micro USB socket for charging. The whole design of this type of socket is pathetically fragile and (imo) totally unsuitable for regular plugging in to.....
I have owned/do own several Galaxy devices, on 2 of them, the socket has failed and a 3rd device is showing early signs of the same failure.
My wife's current device is the Note 4 and mine is the S5....Both have this (stupid) micro USB socket......
For both of these devices, I have purchased a second battery and an external wall charger......simply because I DO NOT TRUST that the connectors in these phones will last the length of the contracts they were purchased under.....

This is also happening to me. Any solution to this?
Done some research.......
The USB socket is directly soldered to the surface of a 'daughterboard' (a separate board connected to the main/motherboard by a flat 'flex' cable).
The connectors on the socket are *tiny* and totally unsuitable for hand soldering, so the entire daughterboard will need replacing.
I don't know how difficult it will be to replace the board, but if it's anything like the S5, the screen will have to be removed in order to access it.......A very delicate and none too easy part to remove..........
.......and if the board follows the same pattern as with the S2, there will be multiple variants of it, none of which is interchangeable...meaning you have to find the right one.
Most Samsung devices come with a 2 year warranty (at least in the EU) so my advice is to get a warranty repair......

okay so I think my USB port might just be broken.. because I tried with sky-high kernel also.. still says cable charging.. and it’s not even AC charging, it says USB even though it’s plugged into an outlet. I tried with multiple cables too..same thing. USB charging :/

Yep.....that does sound like a classic symptom of a port failure......
And as you mention custom kernels, I wouldn't count on Samsung repairing it under warranty.....you have probably tripped knox, so Samsung is likely to say 'not our problem'......

Hi,
Today my edge+ started to pop up randomly USB connector connect and USB connect or disconnect... But i dont have any cable plugged in! Already made a restart and a wipe cache. Dont want to do a Factory reset
?. Help plast
Update..it stopped charging..tried different cables and no luck..WTF!?!? Always with the official cable..no drop..nothing..really unhappy!!!
Same happened with my Galaxy S2 before. It is due to a faulty charging port. You need to get the charging changed.
I have the phone for about a month...that means..a new phone..already with faulty parts..a top of the line..a flagship one..€700...
Damn..I'm extremely disappointed
Thanks any way...
Always showing dock connector and disconnect even when I'm typing..../&#&#&##€£₩÷
