You can try this one: http://s55.filefactory.com/get/f/osm8z9hwyrz/1844e07b49cb41c8/YB1-X90L_USR_S000155_1609272258_WW06_BP_ROW-flashfiles.zip
It is for YB1-X90L, however, I had success with my X90F. Download just lasts 10 hours if you don' t want to subscribe

No - I' ve full access to all features!
Halo keybord has all functions and can be used without any restrictions. There' s nothing in stuck Only rooting with supersu isn' t possible and the machine is now identified as YB1-X90L and has some additional functions like symbol in toolbar for missing smartcard etc.

I reflashed the stock ROM (using Intel PhoneFlash Tool), then allowed the two updates. Still no sketchpad/halo function at all. Do I understand from your last paragraph that you then flashed those imgs after the two updates?

Hi,
I used regular adb / fastboot. As my Yoga was totally stucked I flashed all the images and then installed the updates. Now it' s build LenovoYB1-X90L_S000241_161209, Kernel-Version 3.14.55-x86_64-ga6a34be.
Last of all I locked Bootloader and restored all my Apps.
Good luck!

My only options to flash any of the img files is through adb sideload or placing them on the sdcard and installing via recovery. Every attempt fails with an E:footer is wrong; E:signature verification failed message. I can't find any way around the errors.

Have you tried the Intel PhoneFlash Tool? So far I've managed to flash the Stock twice, but with the pad/halo problem I described above.

Hi,
with this procedure I could restore my bricked device:
- like described at this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2588979, I downloaded and installed universal adb / fastboot and fixed fastboot drivers
- then unzipped YB1-X90L_USR_S000155_1609272258_WW06_BP_ROW-flashfiles.zip and copied boot.img, bootloader, factory.img, recovery.img and system.img to my adb-folder (%UserProfile%\adb)
Caution: The next steps will wipe all your personal data! It' s a complete reset to factory settings!!!
- rebooted my device with "Volume up" and "Power" to bootloader (fastboot mode) and then connected it via usb
- opened cmd and navigated to my adb-folder
- tested fastboot mode with command "fastboot devices" with success and
- then flashed all the images (as referred to above) with fastboot commands: fastboot flash boot boot.img, fastboot flash bootloader bootloader and so on.
- after it I rebooted my device to system - be patient, don't power off, it can last very long time before first boot .
- as I had no success with supersu, at this point I decided for myself to relock bootloader - this was the second reset to factory settings
-then I re-installed all my apps manually and restored settings, contacts and calendar from my google-account
I hope, this helps

I find this very strange this site charges to download the firmware that cannot be found from any other reputable site that I have searched on. It may well be legit but I will steer clear anyway.

you need to input country code to enable keyboard. There are several steps as below :
a) Open ‘’contacts’’ app, create a new local contact ” test”
b) Click search button at contact
c) Input ####6020# code into search bar
d) Browser the country code list, then chose country code you want to use, such as US
e) Then DUT will reboot

Long time coming. Thanks for taking the trouble to detail the method. However, in order to update to lastest firmware I was obliged to input a cc. I assumed then that I had got the Halo etc working simply by updating the firmware(!). Even so, good to know why I didn't have Halo. This info is sure to be of benefit to others. Thank you.

Hi,
I have TWRP but I want to use the default bootloader. Is there a way to restore it back to stock without losing my apps and settings?
I downloaded (A2017UV1.1.B35 (Nougat) (Post # 2 or Click Here)) from here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/rom-guide-updates-to-stock-files-via-t3469484
https://androidfilehost.com/?w=file...c9cf15e47b9a9c4af6f1239b585792c06c0520ebc3480
I extracted the recovery.img
then I followed this:
https://www.theandroidsoul.com/how-to-install-twrp-recovery-via-fastboot/
But after I type this:
adb reboot bootloader
I am in the booting black screen for 5 seconds, as the loading screen tells me, before it reboots. Either way when I call this command right after:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I am getting "waiting for device" print and it never finishes. Before that ADB sees my device. What do I need to do so I can fix this?
Thanks in advance.

First of all it would be a good start to actually get fastboot mode  You should actually follow a guide instead of trying to do this by your own. Find a guide for the U (assuming that you have an U). You'll have to install fastboot via miflash or whatever
Thanks the guides I found online all advise to use that fastboot command. That's why I couldn't figure it out. I have A2017U yes. Do you know any guide for this?
I will google more using your miflash keyword. Thanks again
The toolkit can do this for you. Make sure you are 100% stock bootstack, recovery, and system, with everything working, before you attempt to lock your bootloader. Lots of people ignore that warning and brick their phones. I'm not sure if your apps and data survive a lock.
I tried to lock mine via adb and bricked it. Luckily, the RMA people believed me that it was a failed software update and fixed it for me. I wouldn't try to do that again ^^

Solved (update)
In the end I finally understand that it was possible reinstall a stock rom with Android Nougat, the hard part was find the correct stock rom, then with fastboot method, one command at the time I managed to get back my phone with stock Nougat and solve the reboot issue.
Now I will wait if the official Oreo update comes for this phone too and see if it can be updated.
High everybody's, I see there's few trend that talk to the same problem I'm experiencing with my moto g4, but none one get a solution to this, so I try too.
First, I'm using a resurrection remix rom (nougat), when I reboot or turn off and then on again the phone goes always in recovery (twrp). So I have to select reboot to bootloader and from there select start to properly boot the phone.
I already try using this command from my PC with the phone connected in fastboot mode:
fastboot oem fb_mode_set
fastboot oem fb_mode_clear
But nothing happened.
I can change the ROM if it worth to solve the problem, also I see there's a resurrection remix with android Oreo or wait for official Oreo ota that could possibly be on line soon.
Second, in case I can't solve it with a custom rom, there's a way to come back to the original ROM (android 6), and wait for the official update or the downgrade it is impossible?
Thanks to anyone that can give me any advice or help.
Well, how did you fix the recovery boot issue?

Hi, thanks to the help of @echo92 in this forum, here the link of the topic: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...e-nougat-to-marshmallow-t3487201?goto=newpost
He share the proper and last official nougat stock ROM NPJS25-93-14.7-8, is specific to XT1625/XT1644 my device it's XT1625.
Then connecting my device to my PC and using fastboot command I reinstall each part of the stock firmware.

Hi!
I borrowed this tablet from a friend who said I could use it for awhile. I was installing OTA OS updates to the device and I think I inadvertently hit the power button at a bad time while futzing with putting it in a case. Now it won't boot and just hangs on the LENOVO logo screen.
I can hold volume up + power and get to the Android 8.1 Recovery menu. I've cleared all the data and cache, but that didn't fix it. I think I will have to restore the firmware on it, but am open to other suggestions.
Now, finding that firmware has been a real challenge. It looks like a russian "lenovo forums" website hosted the file at one point, and literally everything links to that russian website and file, but all I get is a 404 when trying to download the firmware file. I was able to find the Tab4 8 Plus file, but that doesn't match this tablet.
I already told my friend who said not to worry about it, but I feel bad and want to fix it. I can't find anything useful on the Lenovo support pages, except other people mentioning the russian website and getting the firmware file from there. Thanks for any help you can provide.
This is the site that I keep getting links to: -x--snip--x- I guess I can't post URLs yet since this is a new account.
Some of the OTA incremental updates I can download, but I need to find the full firmware file. Judging by the linking to this file I see in other threads and forums, this file link stopped working sometime between July 2019 and today. Thank you.
I was just in a similar situation yesterday.

I'm just a noob, but i recovered from a similar scenario this morning... I found that pushing volume+ and powering on doesn't enter EDL like it needs to, but rather boots to TWRP, if you can boot into the ROM you can run the command "adb reboot edl" which gets it into the Emergency Download Mode. I would imagine that you could boot into TWRP then run a similar command in the terminal

Hey folks I spent some time working on this yesterday (dumping Rom, Patching etc) so I thought I'd share. I am including the files I used to get this work.
This is for 100003562 Walmart Onn Tablet
I can't comment on other Onn models because I don't have any.
If your tablet goes into meltdown mode, I'm not responsible. I'm sharing the process that worked for me.
*These files are from:
*Android 11, Security Update 5AUG21 --> They probably won't work with any other version so I can't answer questions related to using them for that.
I don't recommend you try these on any other model unless you do it at you own risk.
*Strangely enough, this update doesn't have any of the Walmart apps installed or the bottom button on the taskbar. It asks if you want to install them when you are setting up the tablet*
I chose no.
Steps:
1. Enable USB Debugging, (while in Dev Options go to OEM Unlocking a tick that, (don't know if 100% necessary but I did it in my process)
and fire up a CMD or Powershell Window.
2. ADB:
adb devices (to make sure you are connected)
adb reboot bootloader
~boots to bootloader~
3. FASTBOOT
fastboot devices (to make sure you are connected)
(WARNING: the next command will factory reset the tablet)
fastboot flashing unlock
(follow volume key prompt to unlock and then device will reboot and bootloader is unlocked.)
You will see "orange state" as it boots if it worked properly. I don't have any interest in removing this message so you'll have to go elsewhere if you do.
4. Repeat steps 1-2 and get back into bootloader.
FASTBOOT:
fastboot devices
fastboot flash vbmeta <path to vbmeta.img>
fastboot flash boot <path to migisk patched.img>
fastboot reboot
5. Done
Notes:
I use Magisk Manager to do a direct install patch after I get root. (also don't know if 100% necessary, but it makes me feel better)
I'm including the stock boot.img in case you want to create your own patch with Magisk Manager. I used 24.1 (24100)
I'll answer what I can if you run into issues.
Cheers!
Reserved.

i used sp flash and wwr. you can prob pull the boot.img pretty easily, but if you tried to take an OTA and it got corrupted, that might not work anyway. the vbmeta an empty one. this boot.img is from the most up to date ota which i got yesterday. i ordered a refurb version of this tablet and started messing with it yesterday. i have a copy of the full ROM dump as well. let me know if you need pieces and I can get them to you. you might be able to flash a few of the partitions and get it running again. can you get into fastboot?
which sp flash version? im on the latest 5.2152, every time i try to dump the full rom, it hangs on 0% readback. same with trying the boot.img. what was the full rom length, just to confirm? i got 0x750000000 from wwr

could i please get the cache & userdata partitions? id like to keep a complete rom for archive. it seems to have flashed ok, but it broke wifi and its still stuck on january 5 patch. oh well, thats why i have 2 of these
ill drop them on there. be warned the userdata.img is something like 28GB. If you have the NV RAM Warning: ERR 0x10, there are a few tuts on here to fix that. Its common with SP Flash and MTK chips.
I think I figured out why it doesn't work. Spft isn't flashing super.img. even if I edit the scatter file to add super.img. I'll do some more trouble shooting at lunch
alright lets goooo. fixed it. just needed to change a few things in the scatter file and change the vbmeta files to img. next ill start experimenting on patching lk.bin to remove the ORANGE STATE text. thanks for the rom dump
NICE! I took a leap of faith and did this on my Oct 5th 2021 Security update build and it appears to have worked and Im rooted with magisk!!! I added a few additional steps to your commands just in case

Wondering if I should be happy with root or try and flash TWRP and try a different ROM.
Iam in need of some help i am not sure if i have to install something to the tablet or pc but when i do the command "fastboot flashing devices" on my tablet just says on the bottom left =>FASTBOOT mode... and it doesnt change and on my pc it says <waiting for device> idk what am doing wrong can someone help me

Followed the same steps and managed to get it working on my tablet that was on the same secpatch. However I also ran into an issue updating magisk. It acts like it worked fine and then when it reboots it asks to patch again.
Had to patch boot file manually and flash via fastboot. Still get an annoying popup when opening magisk but it's now updated to the latest 25.0.
To update run the following:
Root using ops method
Start your device and make sure that everything is rooted and working
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot [PATH TO MAGISK PATCHED 25000]
fastboot reboot
Tested on Oct521 SecPatch on a devices already rooted with OPs method. Do this at your own risk. Make backups, etc etc.
