There are some Google apps that I don't use in stock ROM. Can I just disable those apps? I'm asking because on my previous phone, Xiaomi Redmi 3S Prime(MM 6.0.1), when I disabled some pre-installed Google apps, the phone would bootloop if rebooted after disabling those apps. Is it the same with this phone too?

No bootloop, don't worry. You can disable /enable many apps like Google play music, chrome and so on.

I disabled play movies. I find Duo and Google app to be quite useful.
I've also disabled the stock calculator, play music, and the 'device help' moto app.

hello after reset the phone I noticed that there is no google play store in zte market, so i had to install it on my own from web sources. what is curious google play services were already preinstalled on the phone, as well as installing Play Store was like updating it, but without it the app coudln't be found anywhere on the phone
so any idea what happened to Google Play, and if it is safe to install it from web sorcues, this time it was xda-dev.

im afraid there is no Play Store there, in any of the categories
https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-play-store/
Pick the right version
It was there before. Since I took new updates of zte market, it isn't there. Not any of Gapps. I used to always install it from there.

Lol it's obviously safe as long as it's APKMirror or xda labs, or places like that.
When I used MiFavor 5 for the first time there was a version of Play Services installed there, but you had to go to Apps and enable it. Also GApps didn't help at all.

It's actually in all GApps versions.

@ BurakSefaSenturk, the Google Play app can not be deleted, so you can try to back up and return to factory reset. If you want to download this APP, the office website would be the better choice.

Hi,
I'm looking for a stock ROM without any Google apps or services.
I want to test the phone without Google and see if it is usable.
Is there a script I can use to remove all Google files from the phone?
Thanks

Are you aware of it? You can't use the same apps with the same behavior as before. It's not a big deal. messenger apps for example uses google play services for instant messaging. Many other apps are unreliable without play services.
But you need to root your stock rom and can freeze Google play services(only this one is enough for first testing). It's the main service/app that's needed for every other Google service/app/connection.

I am fully aware of the repercussions. I want to dive in and delete the files, not just freeze them.
I've used the terminal debloater as suggested by @rajatgupta1998 but it doesn't offer the option to delete lib, jar, xml and other files.
At least i don't get the black screen after deleting, which is better than all scripts i flashed so far.
You could try NanoDroid, but make a backup before.

vielen Dank,
But i'm not actually looking install microG or any other form of GApps.
I just want to delete the ones that come with the stock ROM to have a Google-free stock ROM.
It seems certain files (like Google Services Framework) cause the phone to be stuck at black screen during boot.

As I wrote before, you can do the following on stock rom: just freeze/delete Google play services app and you cut every Google communications. You can't execute play store, YouTube, drive, accounts or whatever Google app. You'll see no Google play services wakelock anymore. If framework files are there after that doesn't matter.

Testing now.
@strongst It's actually kinda like having the best of both worlds. It turns out some apps that required the maps API still works, including Maps (from Google).
The added bonus is that is can switch play services on at will.
I just deleted Google apps that i don't use.
Phone has been working without any issues at all. I have very few apps (whatsapp, automateIt, etc). i use xperia keyboard, FOSS apps like new pipe (for youtube), Dnotes (for keep), yalp store (for playe store).
Battery life and SOT have almost doubled.
When am accessing Settings -> Utilities -> Quick Launch, the OS is redirecting me to the main Settings page. After a couple of repeated attempts, the app altogether crashes and I get a prompt which says "Settings keeps stopping".
I'm not really sure if this is something which is OS related, or what. Has anyone else also been facing something like this? And how is it supposed to be addressed?

Hi Xda !
I will receive my op6t on tuesday.
I already like the phone for his specs, and the os seems to be near to a pure os (light and fast).
The only thing is irritating me is all the apps you can't uninstall as the google suit (duo, chrome, youtube and so on).
What is the best solution to remove or completly disable those apps ? (i mean uninstall or at least disable apps icon/hidde it from the app list)
If root is the only one solution which method is the most simple one ? and the less risky from brick ?
Last one, after doing this am i able to do roms updates from official source without any problem ?
I'm under linux (debian) or can have a mac but no windows
Thanks for your time and answers.
You can simply disable the apps with no problem (no root required), and you will still receive updates.

I used to have an honor 9 where you were not able to disable some apps like chrome
You can disable but not uninstall without root.

You should be able to disable most apps without any issue. I've disabled Google Play Music, Movies and Gmail without any problems.
I think disabling is not only safer than uninstalling, but easier as as well!
i understand this is because my rom is not official? though im not sure of it, because i remember it is official...
anyways, how do i make this message disappear? it shows all the time
thanks
Press the notification for a few seconds and then hide it or disable it
