Hi, I have stock android on my G5 plus.
I'm quiet satisfied.
A little tuning I would like without rooting is to add a restart\switch off widget.
Do you know a good one?

+1 and no, I haven't found a non-root reboot app. If someone knows, please share.

One feature I really like in LG's stock software is the clip tray, I was wondering if anyone has seen something similar or knows if it could be ported to AOSP?
I second this request!
push it hard
actually the playstore is full of clipboard apps .. i just didnt found one as nice as cliptray ^^
and a couple of weeks later i noticed the samsung keyboard already has a clipboard xD
I also keep searching for LG stock cliptray apk that can be used with other roms.. I really like this apps.. Very nice n easy to use compare to any clipboard apk on playstore.. Hope someone will make it useful for other 3rd party rom.. Thanks
Me too
I would love to have the clip tray option back

The closest app that I could find is called Native Clipboard. It's in the play store. The app creator's name is DHM47.
I really like it and I think it's a solid alternative to the lg clip tray.
I hope this helps.
It's the only feature on LG that I really miss, if you guys could figure this out that would be awesome. Thanks!
Can anybody please build LG-G5 ported Rom for Galaxy S7 Edge

Is there some feature you just can't live without? This certainly needs a lot more information than just a "G5" rom...

I think the S7E is way better than G5, so you should look for other ways to achieve what you want, for example Nova Launcher has a built-in "double tap" feature, anyway I've read that this LG feature works due to their IPS rather than AMOLED.
Why don't you just do a little error/trial with apps around the playstore, I'm sure you could find what you're looking for.
Thanks for your important advice.is it possible to build LG G5/LG G3 ported Launcher for S7 Edge?Any how, personalization of LG device looks very nice for me.if you know any helpful information regarding ported LG Launcher, pls help me.

Just checking PlayStore, there are some LG G5 launcher and themes, not sure which one could best fit four your needs but maybe you could download a cople of those and hopefully one might be what you're looking for.
I'd recommend "UX Launcher for LG G5", seems pretty good
So I'm thinking about getting a S8/S8+ but Xposed plays a important role for me. Is Xposed available if not can we expect it? And how long would we have to wait for it?
I'm waiting for Xposed as well. Had it from the beginning with S7.
However, I'm not waiting for it to be available on the S8 - got the phone regardless.
Will "root" once Xposed is available, otherwise I'm happy with no root for the time being.
Don't waste time waiting. Get the phone now and enjoy it while waiting for Xposed

Its not issue of s8. Its nougat. Xposed not ready for nougat.

I'm sure the S8 is great but honestly can't imagine using a device without Xposed! I really need to have it. I guess I'll stick with my Note 7 till it's ready for nougat. I mean no harm in waiting since it's going to get cheaper anyways.
What is it that requires Xposed that you can't live without?
For me, "Flat Style Bar Indicators" is about thing only thing that I truly miss!
App Settings
ChromePie
Custom Text
YouTube AdAway
especially without App Settings I couldn't live.

All of that can be done with mods. Xposed isn't necessary if they are things you never change. Flashing/installing mods is also much better on battery life as they don't require xposed running in the background

How? for example changing dpi per app and forcing to be immersive/fullscreen? Or blocking ads in the yt app? or enabling chrome pie controls?

No. It's the im currently working on root for the s8, and don't have time, nor care to search a bunch of different mods for people too lazy to do it themselves

I've yet to find a solution for most of these, but "tasker" and "autotools" combined can give you global emersive mode or per app emersive mode.
(I've got my web browser running emersive and I've got bixby button mapped to global emersive toggle)
Check out "adhell" to block "some" ads and join the beta program for a non rooted Samsung "substratum"
LMT gives you global pie controls.
The rest is a no go as far as I know.
The title of this thread reminds me of YouTube. Okay have a nice day. ?

Thank you for the great comment! But this proves that nothing comes close to those Xposed modules.

Instead of using this one that is older, and so be able to update with XIAOMI EU without any doubt https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=1322778262903997427

First off. It's a new experience and modding your phone is one the reasons for being on xda. Curiosity.
Secondly. It offers so many nifty features in comparison to stock that I actually started liking it. And the animations are really nice.
Finally. It's nice to have a change once in a while. Using the phone everyday with the same UI can get boring.
I have no idea why I took so much time to answer your question seriously.
Ive seen other open source UIs like the current one that we have in the G7 pie and was wondering if there are any open source ones that have more options to it. Mainly right now I am just looking for a better way to organize things (folder in the app drawer) and some other few minor things. I would be nice to get rid of some of the excess bloat with a custom ui too, again if possible.
there are no custom roms except project treble which is too buggy for every day usage. all I can recommend is edxposed with gravitybox. you will need to be rooted and install TWRP first.
