[Q] Night Mode photos?

my phone hasn't arrive yet, so i can't check it myself
Can some one check in the stock Camera software to see if it has the Night Mode option?
if not, we should get a port over of the SGS camera App.apk which offers very good Night Mode even at near dark conditions

Nope, no night mode. I did love that feature on my Vibrant as the flash will only work a certain distance. The camera app is the same (or at least looks it) as the stock builds for N1 or Cyanogen Mods. I would love to keep my stock camera, but add the SGS camera as a secondary app.

and that is exactly the reason why i prefer the Night Mode, than a flash
the only use i have for the Flash is to use it as a flash lite to look for stuff in a dark room

If you're gonna pull it, any way for you to name it something like SGScamera and post it up here? That way perhaps we can get it working in conjunction with the stock. I also loved the tap to focus, which stock doesn't have unfortunately.

I think you'll get the same issue as when trying to pull the browser from the i9000; it won't run due to incompatibilities between froyo and gingerbread.
There are a few bits Samsung put in later galaxy s roms that would be nice to see in gingerbread. Its open source so why not?

HUH? THERE IS NIGHT MODE.
Click the right most (or upper most) button, scroll down to "scene mod" and select NIGHT.
Only issue is, the camera preview slows to a crawl, but thats probably normal.

this camera/phone has some of the best low light and night pictures i have ever seen from a phone

Wow..hot damn. I'm sorry for the misinformation. I tried scrolling down in that menu the very first time I opened it and it didn't work, so I figured that was all. Thanks for the correction!!

[App] Keep your Android screen on, with ScreenOn app

Hello guys,
I recently updated my ScreenOn application to a far more stable version, an app that allows you to automatically keep the screen from turning off when specific apps are running. I find it very useful, in fact a friend of mine asked me if there is a way to do it, so I build this app!
It has also support for keeping the screen on at phone calls and on charge,
I know the app design is not great, but it is simple and clean.
The logo needs a great redesign, a friend of mine is working on it.
Any suggestions / ideas?

well, Screebl keeps the screen on too, but the usage and the whole functionality is completely different.
Screebl understands when you are using your phone only by detecting the orientation.
ScreenOn does notice if you even keep your phone in a specific angle. It does care if you are running a specific app and you want to keep the screen on.
Many of the users find it very useful when reading a webpage, or using the google maps.

We all benefit from choices.

Is it possible to ad an option to set the screen on mini brightness ?
An other app called "keepscreenon" have this option, then the screen switchs to mini brightness without switch off. but it doesn't work well on ICS

First thing to do is to disable "App suggestions".
I am totally fed up with being "suggested" what to do. I have a brain and intend to continue using it.

Did you own a Honor 8 and is the Pro a good upgrade??
And what is the diference between EMUI 5.0 and 5.1
Couse the things you said as best features of 5.1 are mostly present in EMUI 5.0 and Honor 8
Maybe from me to add that if you are on lock screen and swipe UP from the very bottom
you get some shortcuts ( on Honor 8 )
And it includes a default bar code scanner.. not much but I usually used to install it from play store

Google pixel call screening possible on Shamu?

Do you think it is possible to Port to the Shamu?
Checked it out on my brothers pixel 2 and it is awesome.

so i edited my build.prop and changed to pixel 3 xl and "crosshatch" or whatever the codename for the pixel is. that didnt do anything.
i had a little hope because i rebooted and i got a screen "lets finish setting up your pixel" but it still wasnt activated.
then i decompiled the APK and found in smali called DDP.smali i found "allow_speak_easy == false"
changed it to true but nothing changed.

I was just having the same question as OP as updated my Google Dialer to Beta version 27.x which should support it, but not happening on my phone running an 8.1 ROM AOSiP...
Was wondering if a build.prop change might help - seems kidhudi has tried without luck
Here's hoping someone figures out a way..... !!!

i also found a thread for another phone that people edited the Dialer_Phone_Type.xml. so i tried that too but to no avail.

Overclocking Black Shark 2 China Rom

Got the BS2 with the China Rom, I can't seem to find the option that I've seen on video reviews where they overclock the device.
Is it missing on the Chinese Rom?

I think you are talking about the shark space/ludicrous mode. It's the game mode that's started when you flick the side switch on the phone

I haven't seen an option for that either but given that it's a special mode which you can only exit when flicking the switch again and when activated it tells you that it's freed up the RAM I suppose it automatically activates game centric clock rates.
Furthermore I don't remember reading about being able to overclock the phone on their homepage just about ludicrous mode.

Hi, I have the global version which I'm not sure if it is the same.
Flick the switch on the side for shark space, load your game, swipe to the centre from one of the top corners, click game studio and here you can adjust the settings. Hope this helps. I can do some screenshots of you need them as it's hard to explain

After entering the game
1. Click on the menu in the picture.
2. You can access the overlock settings in the menu.
