hi there
I have my E7 since last wednesday and i'm very happy with it..
1 - That happend to me also, updated to kitkat and every thing ok
2 - About that app cant tell you much, use it and worked fine.. Maybe after updated to kitkat will work fine
3 - To update to kitkat you will need:
a) ROOT de phone - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2646731
b) Install a custom recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/elife-e7/orig-development/recovery-t-r-p-2-8-6-t3070779
c) ROM to flash - http://forum.xda-developers.com/elife-e7/general/gionee-elife-e7-32gb-version-kk-4-4-2-t3042835
Copy the rom file to the internal memory of the phone, reboot in Recovery mode and install zip.
The first boot should took a while, dont panic...
Downgrading procedure plz
Sent from my E7 using XDA Free mobile app
To update no need to root the phone.
I asked this in the newbie thread, but no one has responded, so I'm trying here as well.
I'm not good at this, so apologies if I use the wrong terminology.
The "Encrypt phone" option in the Settings menu on my phone is missing -- according to several posts here, it's disabled by default on Huawei's ROM. Someone suggested to install a third-party Android launcher app. I did so, and gained access to the hidden encrypt phone menu, however, the option (the button) is greyed out.
Would rooting the phone and installing a custom ROM enable an "encrypt phone" option? If so, which method should I use to root it? And which custom ROM should I install? Would replacing the custom Huawei EMUI ROM with the Android 5.0 Lollipop stock ROM be helpful for enabling the option, for example?
How can I tell whether the phone is possibly already encrypted?
Some forum posts mention connection the phone via USB to my computer (Windows 7) and somehow, via a terminal command, force an encryption process. Does anyone know how to do that?
Data about the phone:
Model: HUAWEI CUN-L21
Version: CUN-L21C577B115, Android 5.1, EMUI 3.1
Let me know if you need more information. I'd be so grateful for any advice!

I believe you can try this:
https://www.jethrocarr.com/2013/12/29/encrypting-disk-on-android-4/
But probably they disabled encryption on your device because it will become very slow after encryption, but on the other hand you should be able to revert it quite easily, as long as you don't mind to restore your phone to factory settings.
Please let me know if this works for you
Hi Xda-developpers, nice to join the community !
1. What I did
I first intended to install ROM Custom Lineage OS on my HUawei P8 Lite (PRA-LX1)
Details : Android 7.0 / EMUI 5.0 / BUILD PRA-LX1C432B164
I managed to : unlock PHONE, FRP, Bootloader and Root it successfuly
I couldn't install Lineage because TWRP and recovery mode didn't work
2. What went wrong
It put a slightly different version of Android where...
...I cannot delete apps (but I still can install them). When I try to delete them, my phone restart and the apply still there
...I can't update to new versions
...I can't open "developper options" in Parameters (when I touch to open, it leaves parameters and go back home screen) and therefore I can't enable USB debug option and connect to the right Huawei software (Hisuite) which says even the cable is connected : the device isn't connected
3. What I tried to do to repair
3.1 Erecovery download latest version and erecovery : fail
3.2 remove SuperSu and unroot the phone : success
3.3 when I unrooted a possible upgrade appeared to a new version (the one I have now :
PRA-LX1C432B164
and the one proposed : PRA-LX1C432B212-FULL
Problem it was too good to be true, because I can't remove apps I am short of 1GB to install it (it download untill 100% but after says it needs 1GB)
I deleted eveything I can but still have :
Firmware : 6,55Go
Apply : 4,94Go
Pics, Videos, Audio, Cache, Others : 0Mo
4. What I am looking to do now
Restore everything normal as If I just bought the P8 Lite
How would you proceed ?
The SOLUTION that worked for me
Hi everyone I managed to get eveything back with my excellent and kind neighbour which is a app web developper
We installed an application that emulated a command line in the phone
We entered some lines found within this xda developpers forum
And it unlocked the USB debugging mode
We then searched and installed some ROM STOCK until we found the right one
It lounched a new version, I had to do a factory reset for everything to work properly
And thats it, brand new !
I canno't give you more details because we spent hours to do it and they were too many variable
But I wanted to tell here how we did it

How to install :
1. You need to have the bootloader unlocked , and the TWRP installed .

Note : If you come from another ROM , you will need to do an wipe on system , data , cache .
Also please take an backup , if you will want to restore back , or something goes wrong
1. Download the ROM
2. Download and copy the ROM , inside your internal memory
3.With all wipe-Dalvik / ART Cache-System-Cache-Data.
4. Flash the ROM
5. After that you can root
***Suggest to root with Magisk

Updated, thanks for the help..
aserge , maybe make another version of this ROM , there change the default keyboard to gboard , or back to AOSP , restore the default launcher , leave the stock camera ( in case we want to use the original camera , with the camera2api module disabled ) , stock video player , and remove all the added apps
i think that will be welcome
Thank you very much Aserge for continuing the development. Thank you very much

With the modem 6.0, the standard camera does not work. It does not make sense to return it.

Not interested. This is a step backwards. Soon, a google camera with portrait mode will be introduced. The standard camera is an outsider.
Hello, Can you show me more cleary step by step to install this ROM ? Does this rom install itself the same as Russian? Can I use this manual from page 35
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/leeco-le-max-3-x850-t3584515/page35
Ps.
At my another phone I install Rusian ROM in MAY 2018
Regards
TOM
EDIT:
Now I have a unlock boot loader , but I don't know how I can flash the .zip file or part of extract .
Can I flash it by one command ?
fantastic.. if possible add "multilangiuage".. option/language & imput/ add language
For me... how I CAN get restore a oryginal boot loader ?
Beacuse when I try power on, I will see blinkling green led lighgt. It is no good for me. Simple power ON by TWRP (RESTART system) is hopeless . This ROM in my opinion is very slow. EVERYDAY (from 04.2018) I use RUSIAN ROM by BAIKAL ? IS VERY STABLE AND efficient.

There are only two option for Roms : 1. Is this nougat from aserge ( aka Hero of Labs)
2. An EUI 5.9.021S either by moto , or an more better one , by me , link to that : https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/how-to/le-max-3-eui-5-9-21s-diamantik-t3834291
Both requiere an unlocked bootloader and an TWRP installed , and there is no fix for blinking green led when powering on .
I mention that in my ROM post
Diamantik Can I back to oryginal Bootloader without blinking power LED ? It is possibile uninstall TWRP ?
Now I want install Rusian ROM By Bajkał ? Sorry but this lock when i try simply switch power on is very annoying.

Well i have not tried yet this , i have not found this very annoying .
I think you can fastboot the ROM , this way the TWRP will be replaced with the stock recovery , but i don't know if this will lock back the bootloader , i suggest you to post in our thread " LeEco Le Max 3, X850 by Generaljan " this question , there will be seen by more , maybe there will be someone who tried to lock back the bootloader , but keep in mind , before doing something ,do some research if don't want an brick , and an minus 30 $ from your pocket for QFIL repair

Many thanks for Your information.
Correct me if I am wrong.
To turn on the phone with TWRP installed and the green LED blinking, I need to:
1 hold the vol up + power button
2. Go to TWRP mode
3. select REBOT
4. select the system
Only then will the phone start the system
do you know a simple method to start the phone?
I will check your ROM tonight
When unlocking the bootloader, I encountered a problem with Critical UNLOCK bootloader = FALSE
Now I know why this problem occurs for some users
I will write this also in the main thread in the evening. Add this information to your step-by-step instructions, your manual helped me a lot
Some links in your guide do not lead to files you write about - it's worth checking.

Well my links was the moto links
i will take a look
If your bootloader is unlocked , and TWRP is flashed , you are ready to try the roms
Well is only a way to boot the phone , volume + and power button , this lead you in TWRP , from there " System " then " restart " and all will be good
There are two roms that you can try my EUI 5.9.021S on 6.0.1 , or the Nougat 7.1.1 EUI6
Also why you don't sell this 4 devices ? And buy yourself something more better
Because i don't think that this x850 will be a developer supported device , better sell this 4 devices that you have , and buy something better , maybe an POCOPHONE F1

As far as I know, it's possible to add a language in the settings.
Updated firmware LeMaX3_EUI_6_by_Hero of Labor_final.

-Guilt GooglFoto (for the filming of GoogleCamera in portrait mode in the settings of the developer of the camera to check the box "Use Google Photo".
-Changed the launcher for the native from LeEco.
-Changed the keyboard.
-work of GPS is improved.
