yea is there a way of flashing it thru terminal on mac? like the way i unlocked it and rooted
helpppppppp
flashboot-mac flash recovery recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img
is this wrong?
Hey man, it sounds like either you don't know how a filesystem works, or how a terminal works. Unless you skipped the step on downloading fastboot-mac. If you didn't skip that step, you need to actually change into the directory where you downloaded that file to be able to run it.
If you have fastboot installed. Make sure you have the recovery.img file in the same directory as fastboot to flash. Preferable in the 'tools' directory.

Or you can just do fastboot-mac flash recovery *drag image onto terminal window*
I believe when you flash through terminal on mac it should be ./fastboot flash recovery ./recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img

I completely forgot about that! I modified my bash_profile so all I have to do is type adb or fastboot and then the command.

oh ok I hadn't tried that when I first rooted so I just stuck to typing out "./" but that's good I'll give that a try in the future

Do you have a custom recovery installed? If so, load a .zip rom and push it via custom recovery...
.... If not, use ADB to push a reflash of a clean install of 4.3

i do not have a custom recovery, the only thing it has in the cell and the image I downloaded wrong, my phone is in recovery screen that comes with it when I turn the volume button, after that I do not know what else to do, because I have no how to transfer the image to the correct cell to update, so I need to know how to transfer the image to the correct device

if you are able to boot to recovery. you have to be in fast boot...
you can either use fastboot to flash over
or
boot into recovery and apply a rom via ADB sideload

So he was following some random youtube video that was years old so it probably was outdated...
the phone state is currently unlocked, not unrooted yet..but with clockwork mod .
it responds to fastboot commands using the nexus toolkit by wugfresh but i can't get adb to work? all the guides i see say you have to have the phone booted normally before installing it and we can't do that
any help is appreciated
Your situation is a bit unclear, Is the phone boot looping? What you can do is flash a factory image while the phone is on the bootloader mode using Ncry toolkit or something similar. This way doesn't require the phone to be on or have any flash files already on the phone.
hey thanks for relying so fast, yes it is boot looping, ill try what you said now and update status, thanks again
edit: where would i get the factory image? does that toolkit download it for you?

you didn't go into the stock recovery after unlocking bootloader
here is the factory images page - https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
you could probably just flash the recovery.img in the image-*.zip file to recovery, then go into recovery, wait for it to do it's thing then flash clockworkmod, philz or TWRP with the toolkit and do root etc.
you can also just flash the factory image, then do the stuff with the toolkit (easier)
sorry if I've confused you o.o
Easiest way to do this is to use Ncry (http://goo.gl/l0iuEn):
1. Put phone in bootloader an connect phone to pc with Ncry ON.
2. Click on the one click menu.
3. click SR mode.
The programme will automatically download the files and do the flashing, when finished the phone will auto boot.

ok great thanks man it worked, really appreciate your time. only thing is that it wont show up on windws 8 pc but it does show up on windows 7 pc, you really helped my buddy out of a jam thanks again
Here's the obligatory unroot/factory reset instructions, since the unlocked version is getting Pie next week
1) Since you need to unroot, you already have the firmware unzipped. Boot into fastboot (Vol Down + Power).
2) Type this in Terminal/Command Line on your computer:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Click to collapse
3) After you flash boot, type this in:
fastboot flashing lock
Click to collapse
and it's just that easy

2) Step 1 caused a bootloop, so I had to flash the unaltered boot and system images separately. The Treble partitions didn't give me any problems in this step

Make doubly sure you have the fastboot drivers as detailed by Razer's flashing guide here: https://developer.razer.com/razer-p...0.2034022508.1549703537-1609614234.1544074767
If push comes to shove, you can perhaps use a Linux bootable image (Which I've found is many times more reliable).

Use the latest platform-tools download from Google, unzip the file, put the ADB and Fastboot binaries in a different folder, then use this link (if you're on Windows) to get the command line to read ADB and Fastboot from any directory. If you're on Linux or Mac, drop the Unix binaries into /usr/bin then chmod their permissions to a+rwx to get the Terminal to read it from any folder

Extract it from official factory image zip package
Just flashing boot.img won't allow OTA updates.
Better off following this one:

Hi
I have been unable to find a TWRP build for my Android device (a Lenovo TB-X306F) anywhere online. I'd like to get into custom romming, which is pretty much impossible without TWRP. Does anyone know if there's a stable, reliable build of TWRP that has been tested to work with this device that carries the smallest risk of bricking my hardware or getting caught in a boot loop, and will allow me to interface with TWRP via ADB shell?
Thanks in advance!

yeah it was very easy -- download the current firmware for your tablet, extract the boot.img
install the magisk app, then run it..
copy the boot.img to the tablet, tell the app to patch it, download the patch BACK to your pc..
then put the device into fastboot, and run
fastboot flash boot boot_patched.img
BTW, I could not find a TWRP that worked with our device.. it was not necessary anyway.. flashing the boot partition was enough

Ok a bit more information for what I tried like 3 months ago
- I downloaded adb and fastboot
-adb was working fastboot was not
-i read about mtk drivers and that they are the problem I did download them but still my tablet doesn't show up in the pc (fastboot devices)
I can't get past that step
when you say that fastboot is not running, why is that?
what error do you get? you know you need to put the tablet into fastboot mode before fastboot will be useful,, right?
