Well CM14, or LineageOS 14, does exist for our devices. However, the developer for it was not able to get the sim card from our devices to work so he halted development. It may be possible to get the sim card to work, but I don't even know of a solution for that.

Don't be sad man .
Exynos 5433 with stock rom >> Snapdragon with developing made Oreo .
I heard a lot of people having problems with snapdragon but Exynos is stable as a rock .

see i dont have any problem if they just bring noguat to us .. i dont need much .. my main issue with the stock rom is DPI , if you change it a lot of mistakes will appear for example dialer and camera , toggles in notification will be small and just 5 in each row ,, like these mistake , and in the end magisk systelmless root

yes please Any non touchwiz based ROM for Exynos

Miui is there

[Q] Why is there not any AOSP or Cyanogen ROM for S4 i9500?

The AOSP and cyanogen Roms which are available all of them have camera issues and other bugs. Why is it so?
Is it impossible to run AOSP on s4 i9500? If yes, then why so?
Is it because developers are slacking and just dont want to make a AOSP custom rom for s4 i9500 or there is something which limits developer from making AOSP avialable for s4 i9500. maybe samsung hasnt given tools or drivers to developers.
All the custom roms available for s4 i9500 . They all have written at the end of the thread that The rom is based on Stock firmware.
What is a firmware? Isnt it same as kernel?
Yeah I know I am total noob.

CM Based

Don't panic, I can see ROMs based on AOSP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4/i9500-develop
I have personally never seen a i9500 so I beleive they are just not that common or shipped to countries where there is a lack of devs. How about cooking your own? I've started to develop my own ROM which I'm using right now.
Firmware is a full system
The kernel also partly firmware
The kernel is the core of android
If no kernel will not boot
Note: sorry if i am wrong
I9500 has an exynos chipset which had been looked down by Samsung. This has been the case since the Galaxy S2. AOSP Roms exist for the i9500 but they won't be the most stable things you will try, so you are better off staying with the original software or a rom based on the original software.

Developing your own ROM is cool thing. That's what I will be doing after my next month exams.. I dont actually own a s4 i9500 but my cousin has it. I have xolo a500s. It's pretty looking device. I would like to port 4.4 kitkat AOSP rom on it.. :victory:

Thanks for replying. I think you are right. Firmware = rom + kernel.

Yeah that's it. Samsung doesn't share the full source code of it's exynos chip. half of the sourcecode is closed source. They just don't give the full source code to the developers. That's why developers fail to make custom kernels and roms.
But now I wonder why do samsung do this? Maybe they dont want other phone makers to know their unique performance tweaks which they have put in sourcecode.
Lesson learnt never buy Exynos powered device. Always try to get snapdragon powered device.

Touchwiz is no more productive than a custom rom like cm or something aosp with multiwindow features. Especially when u set long press of recents button to switch to last app. Becomes more productive in that regard.
Android 7.0 Nougat i want it
Aosp will be perfect. No needed to wait for cm 14 and an 7.0 rom is available for all the Samsung galaxy tab s (7.0 running on my tab s no major issues and smooth)
So if somebody can build an aosp N7 for galaxy s5 (I have g901f)

Lucky you...

Do you feel disappointed with lack of CM based roms available for note 4?

such a great phone..... though
I dont think , there is a lack of cm based roms for note 4 (snapdragon variant) .
If you are using an exynos variant , then yes , they lack in development

the definition of word LACK is different for you and me. i guess.
which 5 are your favorite of all CM13 roms for snapdragon variant ??
You might be right my friend , this is because, prior to note 4 , i had note 3 (exynos ) . Therefore i was comparing with respect to that . I suppose ,there are not more than 5 aosp marshmallow roms for note 4.

yes, but it's not a problem. we survive
I agree, there's more TW roms than aosp. Not that i don't like TW, especially after you slim it down. I use to always go for cm or aosp, but on this device, TW seems to run better for me. I do wish we would get a nouget rom with substratum theming.

Exynos N910C: recommended Android 7 builds

I'm looking for recommendations on what would be the best 7.x rom for N910C.
Any help would be really appreciated!
Well... at the moment there are no Nougat ROMs and probably Note 4 will never get such an update. I guess we may see some some extremely buggy AOSP Nougat ROMs in the future but thats it.. who knows!
we will get nougat roms and may be official nugat update
There are no N910C nougat ROMs at this moment.
Samsung wont release an offical ROM
Our best oportunity comes from the developers here, one is trying to port a nougat ROM from samsung's tablet, but that's all there it is.
Finally, Nougat was released more than 6 months ago... at one point it would be more wise for any developer to start working on android O, and forget about nougat. In that situation you will loose all hope for any new ROMs for the N910c.
Sorry, but that's the awfull truth.

Best ROMs for trelte

Hello, well you probably noticed that there aren't many up to date ROMs for the exynos model but there are even less ROMs that support trelte (N9100CQ) So do you have any recommendation ? I'm currently using havoc os 2.9 and are there big differences between N9100CQ and N9100C ? ( If I edit the rom to not block the cq model will it have any issues ?
EDIT: N910CQ

i never see N9100CQ i only know N910C or N910H(the one i am using now) and i agree theres less up to date rom,but i heard Ananjaser developing RN8 with noughat 7.1, but idk if aosp rom,i think theres some buggy libs or kernel(maybe?) also devs of Havoc leave too, maybe tries Lineage OS or tries RN8(in anan's telegram),never use both since i am lazy reinstall anything and still stuck on RNFE 6.0
According to Wikipedia it's only sold at turkey btw havoc os sees it as n910c (full name n910cqgsmh)
https://ibb.co/LhjLF3n I bought it from Turkcell (carrier much like at&t) it's unlocked
Well thanks for the reply I'm Really looking forward to Ubuntu touch and btw havoc Os 2.9 even if it's unofficial it's very stable and fast af.
