Yes. Stop trying to downgrade to Android 4.2.2. Especially if you've upgraded to stock 5.0.1 at any point in the past.

Yes i know that , but i haven't find any xperia rom for i9505 based on TW unless this one on TW 4.2 JELLYbean
I can't help you there. But if you want an up-to-date Xperia ROM you're going to have to build it. You clearly cannot use the one you found.

im using currently my S4 9505 running on JB 4.2.2. Do we have any stock JB 4.1.2 or Cyanogen 4.1.2 that works on S4? Im planning to go downgrade instead than going to JB 4.3. Because My software Navitel 5 dont work on JB 4.2.2. that why im thinking a downgrade.
any advise from anyone>
thank you.
the galaxy s4 ships with 4.2.2.

there's never been a ROM with a lower version number than 4.2.2 from what I know. I don't think you'll be able to do what you want to do on the S4.
there's no ROM for you to flash, because around here everyone likes living on the bleeding edge, people spend months working out how to upgrade software, never to downgrade. sorry.
ohh i see.. Thanks for the reply and for some info
Hi,
For my employer, I developed an app which needs Android 4.1.2 to be executed. Some employees will be equiped with S4 GT-i9500. I would like to downgrade those phones to Android 4.1.2.
I need to know if S4 GT-i9500 is compatible with Android 4.1.2 and if the downgrade from 4.3 is safe.
Thanks in advance you for your help.
Nadir,
i think the best you will be able to do on stock samsung rom will be android 4.2.2.
and i am not sure any custom rom developers will invest time in developing android 4.1.2 rom for the s4.
It can almost certainly be said that you can never expect to find a 4.1.2 ROM for GS4 as it had 4.2.2 as it's initial ROM. So the more viable option would be to make your app compatible with 4.4 (to make it futureproof!), or at least 4.2.2!

I meant design & styles.. kitkat features...
Lol, I think he is saying that he had some kind of Jelly Bean theme on 4.3 and then he upgraded to KK, non wipe upgrade, and thus that existing theme remained.
Well if that's the case it's pretty normal. You can go to Settings/About device and see if it's showing 4.4.2 or not, if it is then you have successfully upgraded to KK.
Maybe you're expecting the non-touchwiz kitkat look. If so, download a launcher and use a kitkat theme. OR you might be expecting the new Samsung UI found on the S5. No news of that on S4 yet.
4.3 and 4.4.2 on Touchwiz doesn't look any different except for the white status bar at the top. If you are expecting the stock android look like on the Nexus 5, flash an AOSP rom like CyanogenMod or get the google edition launcher.
Shoud be nice if sam brings the S5 TW to S4
Hi, I've had my Note II LTE for about 16 months. I found it very unstable on the stock 4.1 android it came with and eventually figured out how to flash it and went with the Slim Bean mod I found here, which has been pretty good. However with the latest build of Slim Bean 4.4.2 build 5, the volume was far too low in calls, so I decided to try the stock 4.4.2 rom [ROM] Official Stock Samsung KitKat 4.4.2 rooted & deknoxed
However although it flashed fine, my wifi now won't turn on on the phone, everything else seems to work, but the loss of wifi is a catastrophe.
Furthermore it seems to have unrooted the phone so I can't use RomManager anymore to flash any other rom.
At the moment I'm stuck, I can't seem to flash any Rom as RomManager won't work, I cant boot into recovery (no option) and the Rooting method I orginally used no longer seems to work with this 4.4.2 official Samsung stock build.
Can anyone help me? Either to fix the wifi, or to get a working rom flashed?
Thank you

well by fixed it, I mean I managed to flash a different working rom to it, not that I managed to get the wifi working with the rom I mentioned above.
Hi guys, I have been searching everywhere in order to know how to downgrade from 4.4.2 back to 4.3.
However, all posts were telling that once we have updated to 4.4.2....there is no way on downgrading.
So,even the Samsung center can't help me to downgrade too?
Because Im thinking to go over Samsung center to downgrade if they can really do so.
you have a big risk to brick your phone
I read somewhere that someone do it but everywhere it's recommand and it said that after upgrade to KK, no way back
Won't happen. The only way to downgrade a snapdragon based note 3 is to replace the mainboard with one that has not yet seen kitkat.
Sent from my leanKernel 3.4 powered stock 4.4.2 (NF4) SM-N900T
hell...i juz received the 4.4.2 update and start facing so many issues especially the sd card file permission..
It did hav solution but require root..so i thaught maybe reverting to previous version will do..
But now, my note 3 is hopeless and wondering if samsung will release a fix for this ;-(

Well, It can happen now. It may be a little too late for many who might have moved on to newr phone by now. But as a new n9005 owner I struggled hard to downgrade to 4.3 without any issues. So by trial and error I managed to do it taking cues from the original post in another thread. My reason for the downgrade was better battery life. But that did not happen after downgrade. AT least not in a significant way.. Anyway here's my strategy in summary for those who want to downgarde to 43 with no issues. It worked for me. IMEI ok, video recording ok. But I give no guarantee for others. I am not allowed to provide links so will just provide enough clues to loacte them.
Here's what I did:
Again to remind use this is to downgrade N9005 FROM 4.4.2 TO 4.3
The starting point is 4.4.2 rom version N9005XXUGNG1. I had N9005XXUGNG1_VFGGNH1 if you have Android 5.0 first downgrade to this
1. Do A Wipe Data Factory Reset and cache partition
2. Odin: Flash In AP the file "COMBINATION_FA43_N9005XXUGNH1_N9005OXAGNH1_267031 2_REV00_user_mid_noship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5."
3. Odin: Flash In AP a JB compatible cwm/twrp (look up in this forum) recovery for N9005
5. Boot into Recovery and do a Data/Cache/Dalvik wipe
6. Install in recovery Omega Rom 4.0 for N9005 JB 4.3 (N9005_Omega_v4.0_XXUDMJ7_md5_A7256B2A7F2E7005A65A 6E1CA5EA77C9.zip
7. Done! you will be running a fully working Jelly Bean 4.3 ROM!
Search google for the download links for the required files in 2 and 6. I got them form google search
Thanks InSenex! Would it be possible to flash a _stock_ 4.3.x ROM after the procedure described by you? Omega is a custom ROM, or am I mistaken?
Omega is custom rom.

Its a stock based touchwiz custom rom. Its tweaked stock rom. Its not a custom rom like cm, aosp, aokp etc. Those wishing to desperately downgrde to 4.3 probably would not care about tweaked stock rom or original stock rom

Omega is STOCK based touchwiz tweaked rom. I believe you can make it a pure stock rom by stripping off all the optmizations/tweaking done to it, replacing deleted stocke files from an extracted stock rom, or flash a cwm/twrp flashable jelly bean stock rom (Not sure if it exists, but there are guides on how to make a flashable stock rom)
Original question answered correctly .
<Omega is a custom ROM, or am I mistaken? >
Its a custom rom .
Based on Samsung firmware yes .
Thats why its in Android Development section .
