Updated to the Oreo beta last night, now I have no volume from my speaker on my essential phone. Anyone else having this issue with the beta?
No, all is fine after update to Oreo
Sound on call, sound by video, sound at notification and so on

happened to me yesterday, rebooted and sound came back
I have volume, but can't lower the ringer volume to preferred level. It automatically gets higher. Anyone else having this issue?
I've gotten this twice in one day, but as mentioned a reboot fixes it. Bit concerning since I don't want to miss my alarm tomorrow!
Anyone having issues with low in call earpiece volume? I can hardly hear the other person at highest volume.

I can't control the volume of my headphones. Even at the lowest volume setting my headphones are playing at the max volume. These are the headphones that came with the note 4. Anyone else experience this?
I haven't tried the headphones yet that came with the phone, but I will try them tonight to see if I have the same issue.
Did you installed a Equalizer from Play Store?
I tried some Equalizers and one of them make the problem what you have.

I just tested my headphone this morning and they work fine. I am not sure why yours would stay at max volume. Does it not change the volume when you use the volume controls on the headphones? What if you change the volume on the phone itself, does it still stay at full volume?
So I have noticed for some reason on my phone when ever I hang up a phone call my phones automatically goes into silent/vibrate mode and I have to manually turn the sound back up has anyone else noticed this issue
Mine has done it before. I don't know what caused it, but did a factory reset and it worked for me.
Speaking about volume, I noticed that when I hook anything to the headphone jack, I have to put the volume on the phone 100% to hear anything. Anyone else experienced this?
Update: I use PowerAmp as my music player and I had to enable an experimental option called hires output and that made the volume increase to what appears to be normal levels as opposed to having to increase the volume to 100%.

Hi,
Is it just me or the Ringing volume has gone very low after the latest Oreo update? I have the ringing volume on full but can still barely listen the phone ring.
Is this the latest oreo beta?
If so then yes it happened a few times to me. Regardless what you set it at its very low and can just about hear it. Rebooting sorts if for a while.
It's low because the sound is only coming from the earpiece speaker, that's what happening to me, very annoying
Hey guys! As I've updated my phone to Oreo (Jan) as soon as I got it, I don't know if this was an issue with Nougat, too, but the thing is that I'm getting distortion during calls. I would go for a faulty speaker, but sometimes sound is perfect, sometimes distorted, receiver test gives me perfectly clear sound, and sometimes only signal that it's ringing on the "other side" is distorted, but as soon as the other person answers voice is clear. This doesn't happen on loudspeaker or 3.5mm jack, though.
Any ideas what's the issue here?

Hello,
Am I the only one who experiences very low and distant in-call volume? It's driving me nuts, because it's impossible to speak with people over the phone. I'm on 9.0.11, rooted. I tried the MSM tool to wipe my phone and start from scratch, but the issue persists. Also, if I connect it to a BT receiver, e.g. car audio, and make a call, I can hear loud and clear. It's the phone's speaker that's causing issues. Does anyone know how to fix it or should I go for RMA?
Does other media / ringtones play through the speaker at reasonable volume? If not then probably a bad speaker. If other media plays loud just calls sound quiet it seems like a configuration issue; not sure why it would be persistent past MSM reset.
