If anyone is facing this issue, just add a new APN like this..
Name : ims
APN : ims
APN type : ims
APN protocol : ipv4/ipv6
APN roaming protocol : ipv4/ipv6
And save it..
This will not be displayed as a new APN, it will modify the default APN.
Then ur problem should disappear..

I have tried that with wiping cache and factory wipe (I think that is what is was called). An item of note for anyone else thinking on this I was coming over from Cyanogen 10.2 and order to get MMS to work properly I had to turn off wifi. I have now idea why.... but it worked.
Well, I'm not ultra experienced and all, but have you tried restoring to old radio? MIUI might not be compatible with new radio.
Thanks for the suggestion. However, I was referring to Multi Media Services. Not the radio. I am sorry if I used the wrong abbreviation.
Hello, thanks for reading!
A couple of days ago I decided that I wanted to go back to the stock OS for my Nexus 7 (2012), after having the Cyanogenmod installed since I got the tablet. Some basic information:
Nexus 7 3G 32 GB (JWE66Y)
-OS ran/run
-Stock 4.2.2
-Cyanogenmod 10.1.2 (android 4.2.2)
-Stock 4.2.2
-Stock 4.3 (where the fault happens)
-Stock 4.2.2
-Stock 4.3
As you see, I got the tablet with 4.2.2, installed CM. Then I lived happily for months with this until I found out that the 4.2.2 was not clearing the memory (don't hate on me if this is wrong, I am just a simple end-user) and wanted to move back to stock 4.3. This went all OK, I flashed the stock OS downloaded from Google, all went fine. Downloaded the 4.3 updated (as the OS I flashed was 4.2.2) and pooff... Mobile network gone.
Here is what I observe when trying to use the mobile network (3G)
-Top right corner has full bars
-Top right corner has an "H" instead of the "H+" I had in the exact same location of the house.
-When trying to refresh the email, I get the message that I have no internet connection.
-When trying to load a page in Google Chrome (or any other browser) I get:
Unable to connect to the proxy server
Error 130 (net::ERR_PROXY_CONNECTION_FAILED): Proxy server connection failed.
Things I have tried to fix this:
-Reboot
-Reinstall the OS (first from 4.3 to 4.2.2, then back to 4.3)
-Reflash the "radio-tilapia-1231_0.17.0_1205"
-Reflash the other radio file that includes in the 4.3 version (can't find it right now)
-Reset the APN
-Manually set the APN (after checking my provider for the APN details (Telenor in Norway) (NAME: Telenor Internet APN: telenor PROXY: hypertexttransferprotocol:[slash][slash]mDOTonlineDOTnorwegian)
-Shutdown the device and let it stay like that for 10 minutes (yes, someone said to do that in one of the many forums I have read)
-Different SIM
Thank you in advance, I really hope I am not going to call this device dead.
Regards
Istrul
Figured it out!
For you Googlers like me:
Go into your APN settings (SETTINGS > Wireless & Networks > More... > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names) and change "APN protocol" and "APN roaming protocol" to "IPv4/IPv6".
That should do the trick.
Exactly what it should say if you are Norwegian (copied from Randomher0)
1: If your APN list is empty, make a random APN.
2: Click the menu button and choose "reset to default"
3: This should force the Nexus 7 to download the standard APN settings.
4: Now edit it to look like this:
Name: Telenor Internet
APN: telenor
Proxy: 10.10.10.10
Port: 8080
Username: *leave blank*
Password: *leave blank*
Server: *leave blank*
MMSC: *leave blank*
MMS proxy: *leave blank*
MCC: 242
MNC: 01
Authentication type: *leave blank*
APN type: default, supl
APN protocol: IPv4
APN. Oaming protocol: IPv4
APN enable/disable: APN enabled
Bearer: unspecified

This is a quick guide on merging your default internet and MMS APNs.
Why would you want to do this?
Maybe you are looking for a possible solution to MMS not being sent/received on LB CM12 5.0.2 for Xperia SP. This may be useful on other ROMs as well. It doesn't take long.
But first...
Check your mobile data connection is working and you have the correct APN settings for your carrier. Delete any APNs that do not correspond to the settings provided by your carrier. Also check that you do have at least two different APNs with one used for MMS.
Still no MMS?
You can try merging the APNs and see if that helps.
1] APN settings are found in Settings->Wireless & networks->More
2] Edit the MMS APN. You need to note down the values for MMSC, MMS proxy and MMS port
3] Now go back and edit your default APN. Enter the values from the MMS APN into this one. Also change the APN type field to the catch-all wildcard (star) character *
4] Save the default APN with these new settings
5] Now go back and delete the MMS APN from its settings page. You should now have just one APN for all internet and MMS connectivity. Check if MMS is working.

Some logs might show some light, run these and try sending and receiving MMS
Code:
$ adb -d logcat -v long | grep -iE 'mms|net|telephony|connectivity' > ~/Mms.log
$ adb -d logcat *:EW > ~/ErrorsWarnings.log
Recently rooted and currently running cm-12.1-20150913-Nightly-kltespr on a Samsung Galaxy S5 phone that is on Boost. Ever since flashing Cyanogenmod I DO NOT have any LTE signal. If I change "Preferred Network Type" to LTE (recommended) I do not get any data/internet signal at all. Everything works fine EXCEPT LTE and Multimedia messages. Plain MMS works fine but when there is multimedia attached the message "No APN settings on this device" stays on my screen and will not go away unless I delete the message with the multimedia in it and reboot the device. Also although I am on Boost, the rom shows me as Sprint on the top left of my screen.
I have been researching for the past few days and see this is a common problem, at first I thought I had the wrong baseband version and flashed G900PVPU1BOA6 thinking that would fix it because that was the baseband I had prior to flashing Cyanogenmod, after flashing Cyanogenmod I had baseband version G900PVPU30BG1. That was not the issue as everything seems to work the same as it did with the previous baseband version.
I did the remove sim car, restore to default APN settings and that didnt work.
I also downloaded Root Tweaker from the Play store and updated Cyanogenmod APN settings and that didnt work either.
I tried to flash back to stock so that I can update my PRL, get LTE and try the terminal emulator method BUT I am unable to flash back to a stock rom. I dont understand why. Maybe the downloads I am trying are no good, not sure. BUT I know there has got to be an easier way, so if anybody can help me out I would really appreciate it. I'm pretty sure its all with the APN settings. I also feel like I maybe took a step back by flashing my old baseband version. Any help from somebody that can point me in the right direction would be appreciated. Surely somebody has the S5 running on Cyanogenmod with LTE working.

Thank you for using XDA Assist. I am going to move your thread to the Galaxy S5 Q&A forum so hopefully someone there will be able to help. Good luck!
