Now that many people have changed their navigation bars to have the menu button, will it be possible to hide the 3 dot menu button that appears in apps (for example the one that appears in chrome)?
It depends on the ROM. In xylon, in xy settings, nav bar, I have the option for menu visibility that I can change.

You need a custom rom to do it, stock does not support it. I use paranoid and the option is available. Some apps automatically hide the buttons.
I think you guys may have misunderstood me, but excuse me if I'm wrong. I do not mean the small dots that actually appear in the navigation bar itself, I mean the dots that appear inside the actual app, which sometimes actually create a whole bar for themselves.

You would have to mod the app itself and then most likely lose the ability to access menus such as the settings menu since we don't have a hard menu button to do this.
I have a Nexus 4 and after playing with stock, CM and PA ended up with a little "wish list" for my perfect ROM:
- ability to auto-hide both statusbar and navbar
(I mean they have to show-up only when needed, with a swipe or some sort of trigger)
- ability to customize nav-ring targets
(to add something more than Google Now).
For what I gather Slim Bean has these features, but would like to ear from more experienced XDA heads.
Thanks a lot guys!

Hi Mate,
Try Carbon ROM, Its pretty feature rich and runs slick.
Cheers, SUmit
CM has the first feature to auto hide status and nav bar it's under settings/system/expanded desktop to turn it on/off hold down the power button and you'll see the option.
Not sure what you mean about nav-ring controls, U mean like pie?
CM's Expanded Desktop doesn't let you show statusbar or navigation buttons with a swipe up/down; to view a notification you have to exit Expanded Desktop mode.
Navigation-ring is the ring which pops-up when you swipe from the bottom, the one normally used to launch Google Now.
For the nav ring in cm 10.1, you can add 2 more targets for a total of 3 and customize them under system->settings->quick launch shortcuts.

Yep, I know about CM customization options, but what I'm looking for is a ROM with BOTH the features mentioned in OP.

Do a nandroid and install slim bean and see if it works, if it doesn't flash another ROM to try and restore your backup.
However, on carbon (and presumably other ROMs) you can enable Expanded Desktop and use PIE for navigation and then, by enabling the chevron targets in the pie settings, flick up to either side from pie to show quick settings or notifications, depending on the side you flick up to.

Post up any options you miss from old ROM's or Xposed that you wish were available in custom ROM's currently available to the Pixel XL but cannot yet find in any of the ROM's.
Maybe a dev will like your suggestion and port it to their Pixel XL ROM or maybe someone will tell you which ROM already has it.
Mine:
Ability to block individual app toast notifications
One-click power menu (no having to click 'reboot to recovery' and then click "okay")
Auto expanded volume sliders
Slim Recents
Please don't use this thread to disparage someones wish list.
Just because you think their wishlist contains an item you consider unnecessary (or stupid) doesn't mean someone else feels the same as you.
Boot to other slot
Built in suhide
Is the call recording no longer native anymore. Is that why it's no longer included in Roms. I liked that feature

This! If twrp can switch slots I'm sure it would be possible to build it into the reboot menu

You can block individual app notifications by long clicking on it and clicking off the auto setting and setting whatever level you want. If you are using stock based ROM you have to enable the option to do this through system tuner first by holding down the settings icon in the navigation drawer for 5 seconds or so.

Yep, doesn't work as well as you'd like though.
Some apps don't GAF which level 1-5 you give them and still want to be at the top even if you set say, Pandora to 3 and Notification Toggle to 5. Pandora wants the top.
And you can't dismiss some notifications, such as Car Mode notification at all from what I have found.
Soft keys fade please
I'd like translucent Navbar, or Invisible Navbar (not the icons Obv) also option for Pie control, I used to go thru phases of using it on S3 + M8.
Suhide
Amplify
3minit battery
Greenify for added xposed settings
As We Know Redmi Note 5 Pro Got MIUI 10 Stable This Week
Can We Expect A Good Stable Rom Port For The Same(As The Specs Are Same)
I Just Want MIUI 10 For That Full Screen Mode
Yes I Know There's Already MIUI 10 BETA Port Out There But I Think That's All It Wont Get Updated
Our Legend Sagar Makhar Has Already Build So Many Rom's By Himself He Wont
Have That Much Of Time To Play Around With Particularly One Rom
He Already Has To Work On Lineage 16.0 , AEXv6.0,AEX v5.7 Pixel Exp Pie[9.0]
As We Are On Stock Android And Even On Android P We Will Have A Pill Swipe
We Won't Be Able To Use The Full 6 inch Display And MIUI Is The Closest Thing That We Can Have
If You Ask Me To Use XDA GESTURE CONTROL APP Than Please Don't Suggest
It Sometimes Misbehaves A Lot And Gets Triggered Randomly
We(On Be-Half Of Every X00TD User) Hope Someone's Will Give A ROM Soon
Definitely it will be awesome to get a MIUI 10 Stable version for the Max pro M1.
Here is an alternate perfect Full Screen Gesture fix for the Zenfone Max Pro M1.
Root your M1,
Install Edge Gesture app, give all required permissions.
Configure the app by configuring the Left edge, Right edge, Bottom edge. (In my case Left and Right edge swipe takes me one level Back and swipe from the bottom to go to home and swipe and hold from the Bottom for recent app menu. Change the hold threshold to '244' )
That is it, works exactly like the Note 5 Pro.
Install Navigation Bar remover app or use any other method to Remove the Soft keys.
Restart device.
Recently our devices that have not been intervened for modification have received the new version of Android 11 based on MiUI 12.2.1.0 (RJKMIXM) so they have added things such as also removed things and a few bugs, then I will leave a list of what that to my appreciation I managed to discover with this update and it would be great if they also share more things.
Additions and improvements:
- iOS style bar available for gestures (with option to remove in settings) without the need for the long-awaited Poco Launcher 3.0.
- Improved animations such as multitasking and when opening apps.
- Fixed pixelated screen on lock screen.
- New emojis. (LOL)
- From Poco's Launcher if you slide down the right side you lower the control center, to the left you lower the notification center, it is no longer necessary to do it from the status bar and clearly you have to have the new control center active and from Home do the gestures.
- By having the device horizontally, if you slide the new control center, now you can see it in a better way, that is, on the left side you will see the customizable quick accesses and the right side the fixed ones with wifi and data.
- Sound assistant in the sound and vibration section
- Beauty mode for video calls
Things they removed and certain bugs:
- I cannot access the last app from Home by pressing the multitasking button twice if you have it active
- They removed the notification priorities (high, normal, unimportant, etc.)
- They removed the button for the pop-up windows from multitasking as well as the one from the split screen (I think it was that) that was in the upper left corner
- Even if you have accelerated animations (x0.5), the new animations (such as multitasking and when entering apps) will still be at x1
- In certain sections they removed some vibrations
- In some notifications (it only happened to me on WhatsApp and Google messaging) when you get a single notification, it is misconfigured
- (bug) If you have dark mode, when accessing the section with the shutdown, restart, etc. buttons, the letters will be the only ones that will be white, the icons will be black (f for those with dark backgrounds)
- (bug) 50% brightness down is lower than it was before

I know, I actually did the post there and it appeared here in some strange way.
Everything on the list is with the phone factory reset after updating.
how about floating windows? i can't do that as in previous V12.0.4.0.
ok. any of you that have received the update from updater app have force close from updater app after apply the update? After clearing data of that app, i got no more FC on the app but now i am unable to see changelog, its says "you don't have permission to access the update log", and trying to download last update manually says "Can’t download update, wait a minute or two"... it's really annoying!
I have received 12.2.1.0 (RJKMIXM) update and the rom is ok but the biggest issue i have is with gestures control. Now the the "go on home screen" and the "open recents" don't work at all, neither with poco launcher or nova launcher. It's a big bug for me and now i must use the buttons on the navigation bar.

I have similar issue. It works if default launcher is set to poco launcher. But when it's set to nova launcher home gesture swipe up doesn't work outside the launcher.

I have the same issues with nova launcher.
I also have a lot of issues with the share option in apps wich doesn't work.
Does Someone know how to disable bobble notifications? Can't find it in the settings!
Hi, I am having problems with the new version 12.2.1. When I try to open a youtube, instagram, navigator link from another app it says that no app can open the content. In the previous version 12.0.3 there was no problem

try this app! -> https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.conena.navigation.gesture.control&hl=en_US&gl=US
this app will give you back gestures on all app screens.
-> needs less power and works for me! You can hide the app overlay if you don’t like it!.
(freeware - no ads!)
Edit:
maybe some of the XIAOMI bugs are the same as present at Google A11. See here: https://piunikaweb.com/2020/12/08/android-11-update-bugs-issues-problems-tracker/
If anyone here would compare this list, I would be delighted!
Hi there. I got the new update with all the bugs that are already mentioned by other members in previous posts. The one that is bothering me the most and gives me a hard time is the messed up notifications. What I mean is that when I have more than one notifications, either from the same app (grouped ones) or from different apps, the senders' names and text gets confused with other apps' notification text or sender's name. I tried a factory reset, but unfortunately it didn't solve the bug. The action buttons are also misaligned and sometimes not fully visible, but that's already mentioned by other members. Does anyone have the same bug? Can you propose a workaround at least until a fix is released? Thank you!!

I am using this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=app.le.miui10gestures and it's perfect. Problem solved.
because my phone was more and more unusable, i now use my Sam Note 9 for the next time.
Rollback and new installation on POCO F2 fails because verification problems during the process.
On the Note 9 with LineageOS 17 everything is alright. There i use "Full Screen gestures" (paid version)
I don't quite understand. Did they remove floating windows feature in the new update?
No. But the way to do differs a little bit.
On: -> developer option " freeform window" must be activated. Then a special tile will give " flying window". Start the app and press the tile...
Off: tap on flying app navbar and swipe up the app window.

Eventually I managed to disable bubble notifications for telegram. When you open the chat bubble, in the bottom left corner there is a "Manage" button. If you tap on that it brings you to a setting page where you can disable the toggle for bubble notifications.
Hello everyone, does it happen to you too that sometimes in the main screen they disappear (become invisible) and you have to restart the phone to solve? You know how I can do it. Help me!!
Miui 12.2.4 is so buggy!
1. Full gesture is not working with 3rd party launchers
2. Recent apps is not working properly even in poco launcher. It appears blank when pressing the recent app button
3. There is no app when clicking a link from browser
4. There is an error when sharing a file to an app
5. There is an error playing a video when using a 3rd party gallery app
6. You cannot upload a file when browsing on desktop mode
7. Poco launcher is laggy

Hi,
I have updated my poco f2 pro to miui 12.2.6.0 but the Notification issue is not fixed (mixing all the notification, WhatsApp notifications are not grouped like in miui 11). But this update feels much smoother operations (miui 12.2.5.0 was little bit slower than miui 12.0.4.0) in the phone.
