Wide angle front camera on video call - LG G6 Questions and Answers

Is there anyway to change the camera settings to not use the wide angle view on front cam by default on video calls ? It's absolutely irritating !

There is only one front cam.... and in my understanding it is the usual way to activate the front cam on video calls.

[Q] Camera focus and orientation issue

Anyone notice that there's some issue with the focus of the camera? Auto focus doesn't seem to be working very well.
Additionally any portrait pictures taken will shows up in dropbox as landscape. Even if it shows up as portrait in gallery.
Yes .... Same focus problem but not the orientation

For focus, use LGCamera.

Camera app

I've scoured the market for a better camera app with the adjustments that this phone deserves. And I'm settled with camera fv-5. Hasn't got very good reviews but it suits this phone better than the stock one.

Does this app prevent the zoom breathing that happens when recording videos with the stock camera app?
Haven't tried video and not sure what you mean by breathing .
The photo shots come out better and bigger file sizes. And you can adjust sharpness and saturation ect , like on htc. More control over camera adjustments.

Have any of you noticed when running third party cameras (even the Google camera) that there are white specks in the video. You can really see it in low light.
The only camera app that doesn't do this is the LG Stock camera.
Just curious. It's a bummer, I love the custom ROMs, but the camera is a deal breaker for me.
I know that there is a port, but it's too glitchy. I missed some really great photo opportunities because it "couldn't connect to camera".

Hi, You dont like the focus of s5 ? or you are talking about selective Focus ?? alternate for selecting Object and blur background you can try Google Camera
For Macro Mode you can try Macro Lense from ebay
Hope this Help
Thanks, but I would like another sultion.
Since the problem is not a hardware thingy.
When I try to capture a penny it doesn't stick with the good focus and rest the focus into foggy blurry vision

Camera no 60FPS? Stock camera sucks, 3rd party camera better?

So I've noticed that the stock camera app does not have settings to configure how the camera works. There is only 4k, 1080P, and 720P for recording. Is there anyway to enable the 60fps of the camera?
anyone?
Just choose slow motion

Yeah, but the specs says that it supports 60FPS 1080p recording. is there any app that can utilize the 60FPS feature?

Hmmm, maybe use the flash? Or use a flashlight. Or stop shaking when taking pictures. You can use a tripod.
There is always noice in the pictures taken in low light. You need a real camera with a tripod to be able to keep the shutter open longer.

As of now, Im using CamNextMod, and it's quite good in capturing both Photos and video. best I've used so far, and only few bugs

Iphone 6 did not have this problem. Very nice detailed pictures in low light.
Now you can almost count the pixels.

Disable background blur in camera app?

Anyone know how to make background images clear like the focused images when using the camera ?
Another words disabling the background blur in a single photo and have the focused pic and back ground equal in quality

That would require an adjustable aperture on the lens. Google bokeh and depth of field if you care about what causes that.
Until we have a fully working manual focus tweak, this can't really be achieved unless you adjust your positioning when taking the photo.
It's a work in progress here, but I haven't personally been able to get it to work.
