[SOLVED] market doesn't work with dorimanx kernel

hi, i've just flashed dorimanx's kernel 4.6 on miui 2.3.7c (stable)
everything works fine except the market. when i try to download an app an error message appears (insufficient storage space available). Of course i have enough storage space both on internal memory and micro sd ext.
flashing only miui rom market works 100%. i've already wiped cache, delvik ect. disabled market's updates, deleted market's cache and data ect. still not working.
anyone knows the solution to this issue?

hi good work by mod ..i came across highly profane words used like noob etc..so please be good & treated good...in galaxy y section there is a lot of questions to be answered so help us ...do updated roms.....

Many new users read this thread and forget the first point. SEARCH! But they don't. Instead of that, they create new threads in our Q&A section with questions that have been asked a million times.

request for Sticky thread about Backup and Restore
Hi
Can you make a sticky thread about a step by step guide to backup and restore the existing phone data and software(and everything else, so that anyone can comeback to present position anytime) before trying anything new.
I am a newbie and recently bricked one of my phones by trying a update(and still searching for proper firmware to restore it). I know that searching may yield some result but if there is a sticky thread, it will be helpful for people like me. I know there are stock roms available but nothing beats getting the good old phone back as it is with a feeling that nothing happened.
PS. I have installed CWM and tried the backup option there.However while backing up data it showed " failed to mount /data partition(backed up boot image and other things, but where I do not know(may be on SD card, but cannot find)). My phone is rooted and on original firmware (working perfectly). Samsung kies has a frequent crashing problem on winXP. So dared not use it.

If the backup was completed you can see a folder named
Clockworkmod.
You can find your nandroid backup inside backup..

It contains 3 files
recovery.img
boot.img
system.rfs.tar
It said during backup that could not mount /data. Will it affect in anyway during restoration? Will I get back my contacts, pictures and games? I like to try the jellybin firmware available here but also want to comeback to my present position if I do not like it. Is this backup sufficient for complete restoration or I have to do something else ?

I don't think that the backup will work..
Generally the backup has 4 files
Nandroid.md5
System.rfs.tar
Cache.rfs.tar
And
Data.rfs.tar
By the way if you want the stock roms nandroid backup (without data ie. Factory resetted) I can provide you the links..
Kernel is not included.

Would there be a possibility of having a Jellyblast custiom ROM with Merruk kernel?
I am currently enjoying my Jelllyblast V3. I read that we could overclock the unit. The thing is I have read most posts here but I am having difficulty understanding it. Most instructions are to techinical for me. I am hoping that the next Jellyblast custom ROM will have an option of either having a Kuro or Merruk kernel. But if there is a much simpler way of installing Merruk, I would like to know.

Will it help to restore me to everything like a new one (except the data) purchased fresh from market? Then please provide the link. BTW, I am using CWM Ver 5.0.2.6. Are you sure that the above four files will be produced ? I have taken the back ups twice with same set of files available.The data partition could not be mounted in both the cases.

Well, you are in Questions look here first thread.. so please don't get confused.. its not Questions.. ask here.. and also please read first post of any thread you visit to know about it & read your above post..
I don't know about rom you are talking about.. so I can't help.. but you can do this..
First use "search" option in this forum for similar problems if someone had .. they might have got a solution there.. if not see in the place where you downloaded the file.. there you might find solution..
Still if you couldn't find.. search in Q&A /general section.. this will give you info/answer within 10 mins..
if still not available then ask in OT thread or create a thread for your Q in Q&A section.. this will give you answer usually within 1/2 days..

my phone works fine unless I insert the memory card.then after a few minutes it freezes and reboots without powering off. Then it restarts, freezes and again shuts down.removing the card fixes it but then I can't use my apps songs and videos on my memory card. That card worked fine for almost a year (I didn't test it on some other Android device but it works on non Android devices)
My Recent Activity
a few days ago I decided to deodex my phone using a flashable I found somewhere...it all was working fine except for a few FCs and sometimes it froze but after some time it would get back to normal.then I installed a few apps like undelete and ROM toolbox pro.I changed the boot animation too. So once I was using opera mini web browser and my phone froze and turned off in the same way I mentioned earlier... I tried clearing dalvik cache and the cache partition in recovery mode but to no avail.I also removed a few apps I suspected may have been the cause but that too didn't work.
I hope the experts here help me out with the issue soon.
And btw that 'you are a noob on xda' was genus:beer::beer:

Good that you tried searching.. please check in themes and apps section.. and you may find one.. and in that section try only "clock" in search and you will find appropriate threads..

I am using creed Rom 3.5 , my baseband version is DDLE1 , but i want to install stock rom via ODIN , can i install XXLK3 stock rom in my mobile ? FYI , i m from bangladesh

You can install any firmware.

I never heard of any other method in installing stock roms. And what they say is "flashing through odin is the easiest way". Odin IS TE EASIEST WAY

You can install any firmware u want. But DDLA2 is the best for our country.. (i'm also from bangladesh)

Damaged SD card in Galaxy Y 5360
Please bear with me it sure is long. This would be my first post here. And m sorry to post in your thread man I dont know how to post a new thread here my apologies.
I saw many articles and stuffs regarding this issue but none helped but hope you guys would be able to help. As I went through many other forums I saw that people were only complaining about the SD card being uninstalled automatically or something like that and were suggested to Format the card in FAT32 via phone connected to pc. In my case the SD card has problem to be able to install in the phone i suppose reading problem? about once I go to settings and mount it manually it mounts after a couple of attempts.
I wanna know why this happens and yes i have updated my phone to 2.3.6 but still the problem persists. how do i fix it? And yea the card is just fine. I face this problem only when i have more than 3 or 4 apps or more.
any help is much appreciated.

Maybe your SD card is not totally fine sir. Try to format it to FAT if it is 2GB below, and FAT32 if it is above 2GB.

M using a 1Gb SD but as i mentioned above i checked many other forums and it was suggested to format in FAT32 and i did format it like so. But as you mentioned i'll try FAT format since its 1Gb only. Thank you for your suggestion i'll give it a try.

if ur ROM is stock ROM try merruk's v2.0;it may fix ur prblm

try any custom roms like chobits,creed or repencis or try custom kernel like merruk. it will solve your problem. (maybe nt sure)

Play store won't recognise my device (?)

Hi guys!
Long time lurker but first time poster, so please bear with me here.
I have the Samsung i9505, rooted with TWRP. I've recently updated to the SlimBean 4.3 Build 1 rom from the beta 5 version, and now the play store won't recognise my device, which is strange really. If i click on settings (on my computer) and go to device list, it sits there nice and fine, but when I try to install an app, my phone disappears from the list of devices.
I tried wiping the data from Google Services Framework and the Play Store, but the store just wouldn't load so i had to back up both apps to previous settings, and I'm back at square one. I am still able to download apps by accessing the play store from my phone, so i'm not too freaked out just yet. It's strange, i've been through several roms and rooted devices and this has never happened. Any help would be appreciated!

I don't think so, i've had a look at the thread but it doesn't seem like anyone has commented on having the same problem. Most report the play store flat out not working. Unfortunately I don't have enough posts so I cant post in the development thread!
Could it be an issue on the Google end of things, or settings?

I don't really feel Google would be the problem.Did u install it with wiping all data
Or did u do dirty flash?

i factory resetted before flashing the rom, and cleared cache and dalvic after as well. oh dear!
any other ideas?

hey guys thanks for trying to help, my phone has reappeared in the play store (without having me do anything) so perhaps it was an issue with google after all!

That's because You haven't read all the huge number of posts on how to fix this. TWRP is fine, how do you think all of us are flashing custom roms & backing up. Here's a clue you need a new boot.img, search in the custom rom forums, the answer is there.
Perhaps change the title of your thread to be less alarmist. What your really trying to say is I don't know how to do it, not that TWRP is broken

I saw your reply to the thread where a user reported that he is not able to use TWRP on his S8 to flash ROMs. I am also facing the same problem after updating to Samsung One UI. Actually I was a OnePlus user before this and I'm new to Samsung. Can you help me out in this matter? It will be really helpful.
