Just found out that Sony released Android 7.1.1 for Xperia XC. It's been months already, but it's still not available in EU.
Does anyone know about their update schedule regarding EU (couldn't find any announcements)?
Is there a guide for me to manually update the ROM for a rooted EU device?

I was confused by seeing a new firnware version at huawei website places 5th of august 2016 that ends with C636B320 and if i google that it looks like it could be android 6.0?
There is no version number written on the website:
http://consumer.huawei.com/my/support/products/downloads/detail/ascend-g7-my.htm?id=86353
I tried installing it on my phone but I always get installation failed, maybe because my phone is from a different region..
Anyway would be great if they bring an official android 6 update for our G7!
The firmware you linked to is Lollipop.
Android 6.0 is currently only official in Turkey and China, but we are still waiting for the European version to be released.
Unfortunately, we don't know how long we will need to wait for it, if it is ever released.
Also, you are correct that you are unable to install the update since you are only able to install updates from your own region, or carrier (if your device is branded).
Ok I see, a download link of 6.0 is availible on this site, but will probably not work because of different region..
But I will try it, i'm dowloading it now.
Was it successfull? I am still waiting for this update to be released for european devices.
Trying to update GRAL09-C470B210 from Android 5.0.1 and Emui 3.1 to Android 6 and Emui 4. For starters. If there's more to update even better. I've looked all over the threads and can't find my build and model and the update. I've looked on Huawei's website. I've done the phone Emui update search (no updates). Firmware Finder only has the GRA-L09 C470B210 OTA listed.
I'm new to updates so don't understand all the root and bootlog lingo.
Help!
C470 would indicate South-East Asia or Southern-Pacific (Aus/NZ) region - is this right? Also, is it Vodafone-branded by any chance?
If yes to both above, then Vodafone may not have released a Marshmallow (Android 6) update for the P8 in your area.
If you wanted, it is possible to manually update to a non-branded European firmware version (C432) if you like (see Steve039's post HERE dated 2016-Apr-24), & keep updating manually from then on, but I'm not sure how this is done safely (usually it's not recommended to update directly from one region's firmware to another, but it seems to work fine for some. Also, if it's a branded phone, then it usually also needs to be debranded before updating).
Once you are on a non-branded European firmware version (B200 or greater), you can update to the latest Marshmallow version, which is B393 at present: [Firmware] Huawei P8 GRA-L09 B393 27/02/17
It was purchased from eBay a few years ago as an International model. It is unbranded. I think it was either from a seller either in Hong Kong or Taiwan. I don't recall specifically. The hardware version is Grace UL VN1 if that makes any difference. It is unlocked. But I have never rooted it. I had updated it once, but did not keep track of what the actual update was for. I think it was to update to the B210 designation. Thank you for your help, I will look into the Euro conversion and see if it's something that I can do. I definitely want to update at least to Android 6.
No problem, I've done a search & can confirm for the Taiwanese version, B210 was the last official update released for the GRA-L09: http://consumer.huawei.com/tw/support/downloads/index.htm?keyword=GRA-L09
So, you should go for the European version if you are able to safely update to it. Make sure to make a restorable data backup (of texts, contacts, photos, etc as applicable) before attempting the update.
So, since my phone is unbranded, I should be able to switch to the European firmware, just above the B200, then make the jump all the way to the latest firmware?
And this would be done via a Local Update, correct?
I'm reading through everything in the meantime, thanks for all your help.
Yes, should be possible, but don't try anything for now until I (or someone else) can confirm it's safe to do & the procedure to follow.
The procedure may involve initially unlocking the bootloader & rooting your phone, but more on that later.
Hey, can anyone provide and confirm which version of the stock firmware fits EU devices best? I bought used device with custom rom on it, and I'm curious which version should be base for my EU (german) device to get legit OTAs and security updates for my region? I'm a bit confused, because I couldn't find any proper adnotation for each firmware out there.
In other words, which stock rom versions will be suitable for European retEU XT1685 Moto G5 Plus? I don't want to mess something up if some stock firmwares are not meant to be flashed on EU device.
Please cleanse my concerns.
Cheers!
Mine is running NPNS25.137-33-5 also on reteu

I see, so you started from flat NPNS25.137-33? How about the -67 version on EU devices, as it fixes some issues ie with camera recording?
Thats only on retin, this is the latest on reteu.
Hmm I installed myself -35 version before, in settings i had retEU, but couldn't get any ota updates and was on january securities.

Hey all, I'm a newbie here and frankly I'm not a developer or anything else. I got my Yotaphone 2 recently and cannot upgrade Android to Lollipop or Marshmallow, apparently because of the Vodafone firmware I have now, see the answer from Yota Support:
You have the firmware version KTU84L.4.4.3-S01-003-VIT.0.3.50a. Originally this Vodafone firmware version can't be updated to Android Lollipop at all (and furthermore to Marshmallow). We have plans to update to Android 6.0 all those phones which have RU (ends on 1.1.134) and EU (ends on 1.1.124b) firmware versions.
That's why I would like to flash the firmware to either RU or EU version (dunno which one is better?). I went through the threads here and couldn't really find step by step manual for dummies like me. Any help would be superappreciated. Thanks.
Hey all sorry to bother you but I can't install the update for my OPPO F1s. System Update states it is the latest version although it isn't, when I press the "Features" button it says "No Version Info"
When I try to manually update through recovery it states the same thing. I haven't updated the phone before as it's never asked even though I bought it the week the OPPO F1s was released in Australia. As far as I can tell it (With my extremely limited knowledge) it seems as though I don't have an official stock rom on my phone although I've never tampered with it.
Any ideas or advice would be greatly appreciated as although not urgent it does worry me as I realised I may have bought a phone with some kinda of virus on it without realising and I've used it for a couple of years.
#UPDATE#
Turns out the firmware is oddly labelled but I figured out that the phone had been updated with stock 6.0 rom and the 5.1 rom has been updated since but the 6.0 was considered beta, hence so feature info.
Tracked down the latest 6.0 update I could find and installed it and BAM phone is back to normal with the plus-side of having a clean install. Sorry to bother you all with this.
Which firmware you have installed?
A1601EX_11.A.37_20190227 is it this?
Oppo Customer Care (India) advised users of F1s that no OTA update for 6.0 would be pushed and anyone wishing to update will have to go to service centre. Did that and it seems they too have installed the beta 6.0 ROM which says no version info. Version number : A1601EX_11_D.102_170923 (Security Patch June 2017)
Apparently the stable 6.0 update available for Indian users is version : A1601EX_11.A.37_20190227. But I am not sure whether it will update through recovery. Will try and let you know
i know two years have passed but im facing the same problem and i cant find the latest update of 6.0, can you link me there?pls
