Can't you take it back to the repair shop, they should provide some sort of warranty on the work they do. Don't think it's anything software wise you can do to fix this

Its a local service, and they say this is not a problem. it only seen in white color.
ps: photos added
They say it's not a problem because they can't do anymore about it. So if a Samsung service center is unavailable to you, you're stuck with it. Your screen looks bad on those photos.

I have bought a SGS II and I like it a lot but I have some screen problems (and it is not related to the yellow/blue tint on the left side). My problem is that compared to the screen of SGS I, my screen is much worse, because there is a kind of "layer" (only noticeable with low bright and you have to pay a bit of attention)like this:
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
that makes that when the brightness is low (on the device) the screen should be like this:
but instead of that I see something like this:
. It's a kind of layer that is showed every time, so I see that noise and I think that something is wrong with my device, or do you have this problem too?
Sorry, but I can't post URLs, so open them.
Like some sort of static image noise or dithering is going on, thats absolutely not normal.. What you can do is maybe go back to the store and have it check/compared with another unit.
Defective screen? Take back to shop!
looks like a (bad) screen protector foil is applied. if that's how your screen looks like without anything applied to it, return the device to the shop...

That's what I will do, I hope my next SGS II doesn't have this problem, anyway, I have to wait at least one month to receive a new one .
Hello
- Advice requested
I have had my G2 D802 bought in Europe, Sweden, for a couple of months now and right from the start I have been taking care of it;
Back and front screen protector applied (thin plastic one, great acctually)...
Now, in the end of January 2014, I yesterday noticed a thin ray of light coming from "inside" the screen and shining out between the touch sensitive display and the edges (bezel?) of the device.

}
These images are all focused on the thin light escaping from the side of the display.
It is a opening as thin as a single piece of hair.
- What would you recommend?
Please leave a comment or just vote in the embedded poll at the top.
The images are grainy, yes, but all show the light comming out.
Return, replace

Well, I flashed stock and got a service ticket for a warranty repair.
It took 35 minutes for them to give my device a new screen.
All is good. I'm happy.

Same has happened with mine a few months after purchase! Mine is a Carrier device so i think they will replace it ok. I hope this isn't an ongoing things with G2's!
Same here. Same place
Same here, can I glue it with an easy method?
Without disassembling the whole phone.
Just got my S8 yesterday evening and less than 24hrs after the screen is already bad...
Was like this when I picked it up from the Samsung fast wireless charger that was gifted to me by the provider.
What is strange is that the line are not showing up on either complete black or white screens.
See for yourself..
EDIT: Just got a new one and this looks fine.

Looks like your screens digitizer is going bad. I went through 3 S6's that had green/pink line running down it.

I would definitely not be happy about that. They should replace it without a question. That's an obvious mfg defect

Here's my S6 I upgraded from. Third one that had it, verizon wouldn't replace it because they said it must be something I'm doing. I got real close to not getting another samsung.
This happened on my S7 Edge, and when I took it so Samsung they couldnt replicate the problem. They believed me though and replaced the display panel for me for free anyway Didn't even use up one of my warranty swapouts
samsung s7 edge pink line problem in green for s8 ?

Guys, I've made a huge mistake. I cracked the screen on the 6p and I can't stand looking at it like this. How do I go about getting it fixed? As far as I know, just the screen is cracked. There are no more issues. Any help or advice from you smarter veterans?

Pretty straightforward, actually. Cracked screens aren't covered by limited manufacturer warranty. So you have pretty much 3 choices;
1) Buy a new 6P
2) Buy a replacement online and fix it yourself. You can search YouTube for tutorials on how to do this.
3) Take it to a local phone repair shop.
Nice carpet, by the way. I like it.
