Anyone have the apk for the Lenovo media cast app? After installing lineageOS on my yoga tab 3 plus, this is the only app I miss, I liked using my tablet as a Bluetooth speaker when using it with friends in the park or beach.

Please i really love and want this lenovo app too.
It is very useful to share audio or screen of the tablet.
I have tried to install the backup of lenovo mediacast.apk but it is not possible cause conflict
Could someone make it possible to work with lineageOS ?

I need to screencast some interface interactions for work, and am contemplating between the nexus 10 and note 10.1. I know that screen casting is good to go on the note 10.1 (it even does it natively on later firmwares), but the power, design and screen of the nexus 10 seems like a better investment (after i finish my project it's gonna be my personal tablet).
The problem is, I can't really find information about if any of the hard-to-find screencast apps on the playstore would work on the nexus 10. There was a thread waaaaay back talking about this but since then the app has been updated a couple of times.
Can someone please just do me a real big favor and test it out for me? the demo 20second app is free on the playstore. link below:

Screencast isn't working very well. It creates videos, but the videos appear to freeze and show the same frame. The second app you linked is incompatible. PM me if you want me to test another app.

I too am looking for a good screencasting application for my N10.
I have tested out the Screencast Video Recorder Demo by Media Solutions, and it is literally hot garbage. Doesn't really record well when i switch apps. Sometimes it only records the app itself, not what app im actually using.
I need to record my screen for work, so im hoping someone has had luck finding an good screencasting app.
Any suggestions?
Yesterday by accident I found a thread on kodi forums with new release from some guy and I checked it first on my phone to see if prime is working and it indeed does work.
But there are some issues some videos might not play so hopefully the guy who did it updates it or fixes it but I just spent last 30 min on my fire tv testing what works and what does not
Here is what you do in order to get it to work on your Fire TV:
1) Download this zip (repo) and put it somewhere on your fire TV:

2) Go to add-ons on your kodi/xbmc and install the repo
3) go to settings addons - get addons and download the Amazon Prime Instant Video from "Video-Addons" inside AddonSCriptorde Beta Repo
4) launch the prime addon select it as USA, set your settings like quality etc... then it should ask you to LOG-IN after you select US.
5) You should be able to browse tv shows/movies etc..
6) upon selecting play for certain movie/tv-show episode it should ask you to switch to Flash Player (no idea how it works on Fire TV) or any other android device without flash.
On my phone I don't have flash but on my fire tv I do and they both work.
Note: without prime instant access you can view things like Pilot episodes to test it out.
Now we need someone who can try and see why some videos will play and why some won't
Someone who is smart dig into these logs when some videos don't play and tell us what to do about it
What is the advantage here? Prime is standard app on the FireTV. Just curious.
Curious as to why someone would want to use an xbmc add-on for Amazon Instant Video when AIV is one of the core features of the Fire TV? I use built-in AIV all the time and it works great. Why use some hack add-on that will never be nearly as reliable as the official app? Do you not like the built-in AIV? I'm genuinely curious. Could be missing out on something here...

In my case I am not a biggest fan of the KFTV Launcher I actually like the way it is made on Kodi with that plugin.
It's just me maybe there are some other people who prefer it that way

You can add Videos from the addon to your library just like they are local stored. So you can extend your local movies with amazon instant links.
You don't have to switch between your library and amazon Instant.
Adding ALL amazon Videos to library is not implented yet, i'm working on it

Add-on works but as mentioned not all Movies / Shows are playing.

Hd plays for me. Change quality settings. The guy who made is busy and I have no idea if he will fix it.

It is set to [email protected] I thought about the HD because everything it plays shows SD after played.
And looking at my Watchlist the HDs are not playing whereas the SDs are. Was just my first impression.
Are you aware of another addon for Amazon Prime Video?

There are other but require to use real version of chrome not mobile.
It somehow uses chrome then passes video to kodi/xbmc addon.
I would give this dev some time he will for sure fix it. This is already one of the best I have seen.
This plugin broke the genesis plugin for me. .. would be great to have this working. specially when the AFTV skin for Kodi is released.

I don't see anyway this could break another plugin which is weird. And yea I tried googling for the aftv skin for kodi but all they do is show bunch of youtube videos.. I would gladly even pay few bucks for this.
With root this could be huge adding android apps etc.. making kodi act like a launcher.
This would be great for those with rooted devices who may one day be able to upgrade to CM12 / Android TV ROM. I am fairly certain that this upgrade will eliminate access to the current Fire TV Launcher and Amazon content. It would be nice to be able to access Amazon Prime if and when CM12 is possible from other sources.
Anyway to get this to pass 5.1 sound information to my receiver?
Or can that data not be captured from the Flash version of Prime.
This is very worth while if it works. Lots of people like to boot right into Kodi. Plus I hate just about everything about KFTV launcher. I think it's too tedious to navigate. The voice search was a great idea and the tech is perfect at picking up your voice but it often yields a bunch of results that you need to pay extra for. I think kodi has the best interface.

Has anyone else noticed the formatting of the beast looks very weird and words are cut off/not aligned properly on the shield tv? The home bar with all the tabs is in the middle of the screen rather than the bottom like on other devices. I spoke to my buddy who uses beast on multiple devices and he is having the same issue on his shield tv but not any other devices. I will upload a pic to show how mine looks. Are we installing something incorrectly?

I had something similar in result when you using the beast package on non compatible kodi version. I had no problems on kodi 15.2 but on 16 same glitches and even worst, which is normal not compatible yet. Give him favor, Report that bug to Chris if you use kodi 15.2 or >

that is interesting. I am on 15.2 isengard and installed the latest beast from the chrisb repository following his instructions. What version did you install of beast? I used the one called like best available or something. So you are having no issues with yours on your shield tv? Mind sharing a picture? Yes I have already reported the bug to him!

I used theBeast_201509 from http://spartanpixel.net/Kodi/thebeast/ on 15.2 and was ok except turning off / shutting down / quit...was take around half minute and yes was without glitch on 15.2 shield tv, samsung f8000, don't using coz some options are not handy with shield remote. And sorry don't wanna touch existing setups / library / collections rolling back to 15.2 for just some screen shots. As described at https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidTV/comments/8qltha , this unedited APK was pulled by /u/whatpens from their brand new retail TV.
However, /u/Ogreentech21 's LeEco Android TV returns the error, "You are not allowed to view this resource" and it also doesn't work on /u/suyo123 's NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV, nor (perhaps understandably) on /u/alanzeino 's Amazon Fire TV 4K.
Can any XDA-Developers users remove the device check? I have also submitted the APK to APKMirror to see if anyone there possesses this ability.

Do you guys know if the app only works on the Hisense H8E model? And not the H8 model?
Most of the articles I read about the World Cup edition app mention that it works on the H6E and H8E model, but no mention of the H8 model. But just looking at what you changed on the APK to make it work, it seems like the H8 should be able to install the WC app and stream in 4k, correct?
Granted both models are the same price, but the H8 model is available today at a store near me, the H8E will have to be ordered.. and the World Cup won't wait a week for the TV to get here!!

It would a charm if it was possible to modify the apk so that the check is bypassed completely. While rooting nvidia shield might be an option, for most android TVs it isn't so easy.

I’m using the regular app but what’s the point of having a super car without the speed?! Want to see what 4K can do.

Works on my X750D. I used ES File Explorer to upload the app to my TV and installed it through the ES File Explorer app on the TV.
Watching Mexico vs Korea right now.
I can install the app just can't play the content.

No. Somewhat choppy for me. And audio is half a second slow. But I’m addicted to the sharpness and clarity so I’m watching it anyway.
I read it’s becuase it’s shot in European 50hz and in the us we have 60hz. Tried adjusting motion settings but nothing works.
To stop stuttering, in the app goto video and select a specific speed and resolution. Setting to Auto will cause stuttering. I have mine set to 4k (~19mbps) and it does not stutter.

Recently I bought Samsung phone with ONE UI 1.1 and was shocked when I found out it lacks my favourite "Tube Amp Pro" sound effect. I was using it many years across all my Galaxys, but now its gone. BTW, I hate Dolby Amos! I hate It!!! Please, if someone could help me bring it back or install old Sound Alive apk without root I would appreciate it. Thanks.

I recently switched from A Note 9 to an S10e and was shocked to find that the double press home button shortcut on the Gear S3 did not have the TIMER as a choice option, or it did on the Note 9.
I contacted Samsung and was told that options are different based on phone model.

I am facing the same issue with my Galaxy m51. It is shocking that Samsung team is neglecting the audio department. Without the Tube Amp Pro, sound through headphones are lacking deep bass. Sound coming through headphones makes me feel like listening to some cheap chinese phone. Also the Dolby Atmos is not much helpful.
