[HARDWARE] Phone won't turn on without the back plate/battery cover - Nexus 6P Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys.
Well, to keep it short, my screen broke and then I decided to change the entire body of the phone.
The thing is: I started to disassembly my phone without knowing if it was ON of OFF (since the screen doesn't work, at all).
Now, with the battery cover removed, I can't turn my phone on. Even with the charger plugged in.
I think it's because of these contacts the motherboard make with the rear aluminium cover (check the pics), but I'm not sure. Are they all for SIM signal/WiFi?
Basically, my question is: What are all these pins for? Is it normal for the phone not to turn on without the rear cover?
Obs.: Yesterday I plugged it in and turned it ON just to give the battery some charge (the fingerprint sensor was working and the notification LED as well).
Here are the contact areas on the rear cover:

And here the pines on the motherboard:

Well, I removed the battery and put it back, then put the rear cover and the the LED blinked RED, which means the battery is out of charge. Now, is it normal for the phone to discharge from 100% to 0% without use in 24h? It was without battery for an entire week, by the way.

Should power on without the cover, those are usually just for antennas. I just had mine off a couple days ago swapping the battery. The battery really shouldn't discharge that quickly, usually they can sit for quite a while and still have enough charge to power the device on.

However, it might also be the battery, i have two batteries, one is the one that came with the Prophet and one is a cheap battery i ordered from Dealextreme.
I do know that the cheap battery is dead, but the other one (I did some testing with it, it shows up at 1.4V at my multimeter) i'm not sure if it is dead.
The phone has been like this before:
It randomly worked, randomly turned off, it wouldn't work for like 10 days, then when i put the battery in again it worked.
It kept doing that until it died completely.
Any suggestions?
I can't understand on photo. A battery pin is broken? If the problem is broken pin, a watchseller or jeweler can fix it. They have the right equipment to work with small things

You think they will fix this?
I would try to get a new (third) cheap battery.
Or try to re-animate the cheap one (dangerous, forbidden, but works often for me: open battery casing, unsolder LiIon-Cell, reload with Lab power supply to around 3-3.8 V (never > 4.2V!!!!), resolder, put in Prophete, start charging....)
The pins look ok. 1.4V for LiIon is below the deadly shutdown value!

OK, maybe my answer is a bit late...

PRoblem with Power Connector...

So my power connector has a problem. I can't get it to reliably connect. Just a little jostling causes it to loose connection. If this happens while I sleep, the power drains completely and my alarm doesn't go off.
Any idea how to fix this?
I'm pretty sure the issue is not with my wires because I've tried several - and tried the wires on several devices and they work fine.

It's the piece of (excuse my French)..........sh*t USB port on the phone. Mine has come loose too. Just got my warranty replacement and it freezes and the colors are off (like the whites are actually a light yellow.....wasn't like that on my old phone)
very true, you can attempt to clean out the usb port on your phone in hopes this will fix your issue. otherwise get ready to spend $5-10 on ebay and pick up a new port, of course you will have to solder this in so yeah, its a fun job
Mine has been this way since the day I got it. I actually just bought some Samsung micro-USB cables off Amazon that have a solid fit inside the phone, wonderful cables! Can't beat the price of them either.

Quick charge or not?

So, I had to change my original Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime charger 'cause I lost it, and I went for AUKEY quick charger -> https://www.amazon.it/AUKEY-Caricabatterie-Caricatore-Samsung-iPhone/dp/B01AHYR04M, tempted by the possibility of charging my phone in less than the usual 2 hours.
However, I'm realizing now I probably did a bad move, since I'm reading many posts about how using a quick charger can reduce your battery life on the long run, some state they've used quick charge from the beginning (I mean right after they bought their phone) and they had to change battery or phone after one year and half more or less, not even able to reach more than 2 years, whereas some other claim they've always used a normal charger and their battery is as still good as the "old" times.
I'm thinking about sending the charger back and take a normal one, what's your opinion about it? Should I go for a charger with 2.0A in output?
R4P doesn't have Quick Charge compatibility in any case. It'd probably overheat like crazy even if it did.
Sure it has...

... see that circle around the thunderbolt icon? That means fast charging, when I charge the phone with a non quick charger, it only appears the thunderbolt. And it's also stated in the block screen, "Fast charging".

Unresponsive Lenovo Tab 2 A7

I have one a friend has asked me to look at.
It is totally unresponsive
I do not know what version of the A7 it is, as I see on the forum headers, there are 2 x A7 varieties, A7 10 and A7 30.
There is no sticker on the rear, and it will not start.
It has been charged over 12 hours with correct charger.
Have tried power/volume up plus power volume down combinations, no go. Tried holding power on for 30 seconds.
Screen shows no indication of starting, no vibration motion, nothing.
I took the back off, removed the battery clip as seen on many tutorials, reattached, still no go.
Multi meter shows battery at 3.1v storage.
PC (Windows) does not recognise the tablet is attached when connected to pc...nothing happens at all on the pc or tablet.
Any guidance please, as it is well out of warranty.
Thank you
Hi,
Still no go with this.
I am trying to determine whether in fact the usb charger point is actually supplying power to the unit, thinking there may be a problem with the adapter on the motherboard?
I have tried many chargers, all with no success.
This is what it looks like where you connect the power cable to the tablet, and I was wondering if someone could tell me, what points can I put a multimeter on the correct areas to see if the connector is my possible culprit.
Can someone suggest some locations, what outputs it should display?
Battery is a L1CP3/87/100 L13D1P31 Li Polymere Charging Limit voltage 4.35VDC Capacity 3450 MaH/13.1wH. I am using a 5V charger and cable.
Many thanks

Baterry issues, randomly drops from 30% to 0% after plugging into charger

So ive had my s8 for almost a year now, and for the last month i started having some problems with the phone. Im not going to mention the display burn in and discoloration along the edges(I always have the brightness set to only about 50% and dark mode), the baterry has been acting up.
So one of the problems is that when the phone hits 15% and i plug it into a charger, the baterry percentage looks like a countdown, literally. I see the baterry drop from 15% to 3 in a 30 second span, in charger. But when i continue using it withou plugging it in it can last about 10 minutes with heavy use.
Also about 15 minutes ago my phone dropped to 0% after i turned the screen if on 20%, happened to me even with 45% before. I have screenshots of the battery drops.
Also i think i should mention that i have a custom rom, light rom. i had renovate ice before light rom for about 2 months, and now im using light rom for about 2 months aswell. The baterry problems started happening like 1 month ago.
And yes i have recalibrated the baterry(let it die and charge to 100% without turning it on, this is what i found. If you can give me a better tip to recalibrate it please go ahead.) Also the samsung codes on dialer dont work so i cant check my baterry info.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
