Safe to downgrade? - Verizon Galaxy Note 3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a Verizon Note 3 OF1 rooted with an unlocked bootloader. Would it be safe to downgrade to a jellybean ROM? For example CM10?

No

[Q] root for latest android 4.3 update?

I recently received the ota 4.3 update for my at&t gs4, but I've been dying to try cyanogen mod on my phone or at least be able to remove a little bloatware. Could anyone point me to a tutorial somewhere to root this thing if it's possible yet? I do have a little experience with flashing roms and rooting with my old samsung replenish, but only with odin... thanks.
-EDIT Also is kingo really malware like many people on xda say? And does kingo work with the new MJ9 build for AT&T's S4?
If you have a little experience flashing Roms than you'll be experienced in the art of Google search. There are many threads about this already

Works the same for att even though its for verizon. Same root method but beware it could add malicious stuff to your phone and computer. Do a little researching first before you do anything. Good luck

And even when your rooted there is still no custom recovery for 4.3...so no rom flashes are possible

Thanks for the link to the tutorial. I've been looking stuff up about vroot and apparently it contains some sort of trojan... I also read a comment on YouTube where someone with the at&t MJ9 build had success with it but what are the risks other than bricking?

How to get root on d80020c

OK so my first g2 got stolen, I filed a claim and the g2 shipped to my already has the KitKat update. I know that there isn't a root method for it yet so my question is can I downgrade using the method in the development then root with the method already known? Or do I have to just wait till a method is found for KitKat?

I've looked at that. It requires you to be on the last firmware and I'm on KitKat.

it has step by step to go back to stock 4.2, root, get recovery and flash like I said currently that is the only way for any device to keep recovery on kk(most devices with official kk and sources have got a specific rom to do so)

Since we flash modems through ODIN, i would yes to flashing modems being unrooted, since we use ODIN to flash stuff whether rooted or not.

No you don't. You can flash modems regardless of your current rom, root status, or android version. Every phone acts differently so try all the modems and choose the modem that best suits your phone/area.
Thanks for the info!

CWM for Note 3 sm-n9005 ?

Hi All
I have rooted my note 3 with odin successfully, I was looking to install CWM but couldn't find the exact TAR file for the n9005 on lollipop 5.0.
I installed ROM manager which suggests there inst currently a compatible CWM I can use, the only device showing is hlte?
Does anyone have a link if one exists..
Thanks in advance.

Pretty sure hlte is supposed to work with N9005, N900A, N900T and N900P as well as N900W8. I think its unified for all snapdragon note 3s
I think your bootloader needs to be unlocked

You cannot / don't have to unlock a Samsung bootloader on SM-N9005. You use ODIN to flash the recovery and you are set. I would suggest this one btw. https://idlekernel.com/twrp/v6.6.5_2016_01_03/
That is incorrect it will fail when attempted
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk
It's absolutely correct and the way I did it! SM-N9005 is NO US Verizon crap phone, it's OPEN for ANY modification and just causes KNOX 0x1! IF it's no N9005, then you are absolutley right, there are some variants from ATT and Verizon which are locked and you have to verify that.
