Volume rocker issues

Hey all, just checking to see if anyone else has had problems with their volume rocker. In the two weeks that I've had the phone, about half a dozen times it has become stuck on the volume(-) down button. This forces the phone from Ringer -> Silent -> Vibrate, where it sticks just vibrating continuously.
When this would happen, a quick tap of the volume(+) up button solved the problem, However... somehow the (-)button is now permanently jammed. I have no idea how this could have happened as I treat my phone better than my own body.
To top it off, I tried restarting the phone because it was not responding due to the stuck volume rocker, and now I'm stuck at the boot loader
gunna take it back ASAP. Anyone else had their G2 volume button stick before?
I've had this happen many times but its not the button getting stuck. It happens when I never touch the button as well. Right now the phone is also doing random vibrates when using the optical pad. Might have to give tmobile a call now.
I don't have this problem but sometimes a slight touch to the volume down button presses it

wow that would be annoying, but no i have never had that problem a single time
i too has this happen to me. i will keep an eye on it and if it happens again, i am going to call tmo. this phone seems to have alot of hardware issues.
Oh, yes. I know I wasn't crazy!
Has it happened that it stays vibrating after an unlock?

no problem here
did you get some sticky substances on the side of your phone?
I push volume down all the time by accident when I'm typing with the hardware keyboard. Never got stuck though.

If it continues we may be returning it for a new one.

Click to collapse
Would imagine it is the custom boot animation - but the vibration on power up happens before the custom boot animation loads, I think. Does the vibration work after booting and in apps?
yupp , it worked in apps , but only before reboot and after reboot was not functioning..
ohh damn , i cant know my Iconia is rebooted or not in darkness without vibration ! >.<
I'm pretty confident in saying that a boot animation will have absolutely no direct impact on the vibration motor or how it works.
I use Android[GEARS]v.2 and I get the vibration when I boot up and when the tablet shuts down (after tapping OK) and I haven't read anyone else having your issue so I suspect something else is going on with your tablet.
I've installed about 5 or 6 different boot animations including android gears on my A500, and have never encountered that problem. I would imagine that there is something else going on that just coincided with you rebooting your tablet. I even tried disabling haptic feedback in settings and rebooting to see if it killed the startup vibration but it still did it. You could try going in and deleting the bootanimation zip which should return you back to standard boot screen and see if the problem goes away, but my feeling is that thats not the cause.
thanks for the advice.

Screen randomly stays blank after hitting power button N900

I've got a strange problem with my Sprint Galaxy Note 3.
What's happening is that randomly when I hit the power to turn the screen back on, it will do nothing then the screen will stay blank. The phone clearly still works because if I'm on a call or listening to music it will still keep playing and the volume and other buttons continue to work.
When that happens I hold down the power to turn the phone off and then on and it boots up normally.
Rarely what will happen is the same behavior except the screen will go strangely green after I hit the power button, making the phone unusable until an off/on.
This happens sometimes multiple times a day, sometimes days without happening.
Phone is rooted, running OC5 on Android 5.0. Problem has been happening for months. Haven't made any system upgrades or installed any major apps so that isn't it. I'm thinking it is some kind of loose pin/wire but don't want to crack the phone open without a plan.
Any help appreciated!

Weird Button Problem

Recently my device started decreasing volume automatically and it seemed like there is something wrong with my buttons. I found out that once i press the volume up key, the decreasing of volume stops for a couple of seconds and then the problem repeats itself. I have also noticed that when this happens my power button stops doing "single clicks". Double click to open camera and holding that button to force restart the phone still works. The screen turns itself ON every few seconds. Even the headset speaker(for calls) stops working and i have to put my phone on loudspeaker for it to work....
Even after all that the weirdest thing is that this problem sometime stops for a couple of hours and then again starts happening..
i thought it was a software issue so i tried resetting and even installing another rom(currently on bootleggers now)..
I am seriously frustrated with this problem and have no idea what may be causing it. Any suggestions are appreciated.
PS: I didnt go to a hardware shop yet cause
< 1 > I dont think its a hardware issue
< 2 > Until i am sure its a hardware issue, i dont want to get my device opened.
