Not sure if this is right part of forum, but here it goes.
I am having an issue with the charging of my O2 XDA Mini.
If my battery dies, with still a small bit of power left in it (enough to get splash screen) and I go to charge it works fine no problem. Now over the wkend my phone died on my and I left it till this afternoon when I tried to turn on, it wouldnt turn on at all (not even splash) because obviously the battery is completely dead. Now when I go to plug it in, it wont charge, from USB cradle, the little orange light to say that its charging doesnt even come on.
Last time this happened I eventually got it to work via a friends socket (plug) charger, rather than USB, charger. Is there any reason for this or anyway that it can be fixed that even when the battery is completely dead I can charge it from my USB cradle.
Any help would be apreciated.
Thank you in advance

Sorry to bump this, but does anyone have any idea. I beleve the cause of this is due to the fact the USB power from the PC isnt enough to get the charging process started, is there anyway to get this done via the cradle.
Thanks

You'll need to use a charger that plugs into a wall socket I'm afraid. This happened to me once & that was the only way I could get it to work. If you search on Google, you'll find methods that involve a stripped down usb cable, but a wall charger is definately easier.
Good luck.
Should any usb based wall charger work?
I have a Motorolla one and Ive tried that but that didnt work.
I know for a fact that when I use my friends one it works and will charge, but he aint round for another 2 weeks

You cannot charge a totally flat battery through usb cable using PC,cuz it only supplies 0.5(500)amp,whereas to get the dead battery back into charging,it requires a supply charge of 1.0(1000)amp,secondly you can only charge the phone via usb if it's working normal and not when it's dead,as you cannot boot into OS.
Therefore,it'll only start to charge with a 'Wall Charger' which only supplies 1.0 amp, your friend's Wall (Mains) charger must be suppling a 1.0 amp charge. You cannot even charge it with the Motorola usb charger cuz it also supplies only 0.5 amp.So try to get a Wall (Mains) charger to get it start charging.
OR,
Yes! you can Jump start the battery using Motorola charger, but you'll have to sacrifice the motorola charger to do it,as you'll have to cut off the usb plug of the charger cable end and attach the 'Red' wire to the '+' (Possitive) connector of the battery and black wire to the '-' (Negative) connector of the battery and give Shock Charge to the battery for 10 seconds, repeat this for 4/5 times,it'll give the battery a jump start and will increase the 'Pulse' level of the battery, after that put it in the phone and check if it loads up,if it does then you can charge it via usb cable connected with PC.
Good luck
BTW ! there's an excellent thread regarding charging to avoide the battery to go flat and saving from getting into this situation,it wud be very info for you, check it also :-

Thats great will have a look tonight and see what I can do
Here is a simple way of solving the problem, go and buy a charger, they cost next to nothing.
When i charge my phone from a wall charger it charges perfectly all the way up to 100%. However if i charge it using my pc from its usb port using a usb cable it usually charges upto only 14% and then gets stuck at it, charging is also very slow compared to charging with the wall charger and i do also sometimes get random reboots when charging it with my pc using usb. So how do i fix this issue as i do not currently own a wall charger of my own and have to borrow it from my cousin
Problem solved
so i figured out what the problem was and now it's charging all the way upto a 100%.
instead of plugging the usb cable using a usb extension or on my casing's USB port i plugged it directly into the USB 2.0 port at the back of my mother board and it started charging normally again . no random reboots etc. So please close the thread

I found out that if i turn the phone off and plug in the charger , the phone wakes up but still doesnt charge. I tried the charger on another phone and it works . i tried other cable still the same
and it says (Cable Charging) and from 10% it need 5 hours to fully charge!
any way my friend came with an s6 and he tried my charger
it fast charge his phone with any cable
whats wrong and what to do
thanks
My fastcharging was really unreliable. I bought a new cable and it works everytime now.
The stock Samsung cable is really bad. Get another cable and it will work. This happened to me at least. Changed the cable now Fast Charge works all the time.
