hello
i appreciate all your hard work you do .
i do have this problem at hand if you could help:
phone :GT-I9500
was on android 5.0
the phone would boot tonormal and give me the (apps updating -android is upgrading )messeges then i get the samsung logo again and it loops like this
tried flashing android 5.0 with 4 files but it always gave the sboot.bin flash failed error
then after a couple tries with different versions of odin i'm getting the repartition operation failed problem when using odin 3.10
and stuck at pit mapping when on odin 3.07
couldn't flash recovery too and won't boot to stock recovery> only download mod is accessable
can you please give me any ideas you got on a solution
Try a different usb port / different usb cable.
I'm running the Phronesis ROM and it says that to make the video recording work, I need to flash the bootloader, and it also comes with a modified modem. My bootloader is the stock bootloader, and I just unlocked it a long time ago. So, I'm using Odin to flash the files with my Sprint Note 3 in download mode. Odin and my downloader both say that it failed to download. (Auth fail) It didn't change my phone at all; it just won't write the new data.
My bootloader is unlocked or I couldn't get into Phronesis. Any idea what's causing the issue?
What is the Odin error? The error probably occurred because Odin could not flash a particular file to the phone.
I am having a samsung note 4 sm-n910g running on 6.0.1 which was dead so i thought to flash it using odin with firmware version 4.4.4. When i was using odin i clicked on AP and selected file but after starting i got error that there is no pit partion.Due to this i seleted both AP and Bootloader after this i clicked start button and surprisingly flashing started. After getting pass message from odin i unpluged my phone but my phone got switched off so i flashed it again but this time flashing encountered error and odin gave message of FAIL.Now my device is dead, whenever i plug charger or connect it to pc phone shows download mode(which we get on pressing and holding power, volume down and home button)with error flashing firware encountered error.please tell me what to do
I am using windows7 32bit and i downloaded firware from sammobile.
I rooted my S7 Edge T-Mobile on christmas installed supersu, exposed, etc. then on the 4th none of my apps were opening properly i decided to restart my phone to see if that would fix the problem, nope my phone wont go past the t-mobile logo i have tried flashing stock rom but i am stick in dm verity verification when i got into recovery. Please Help i keep getting a whole bunch of odin errors and am seriously stuck. I dont think i can flash stock anymore i get the dm verity verification which when i looked up people were saying that it wont downgrade.
ODIN errors:
Auth (fail)
NAND write start - this is the most common one
When it fails on odin, this shows up on my phone:
sw rev check fail aboot fused 4 > binary 2 sometimes the numbers change to 3 and 1.
Where did you get your firmware tarballs?
Maybe download firmware again from sammobile.com do an md5sum check.
Have you tried different USB cables through different USB ports in your computer? Are you using factory USB?
Have you tried flashing with Heimdall instead of Odin?
Are you flashing all the proper AP, BL , CP, CSC files?
If you can get into download you should be able to fix this.
Summary: My tablet is soft-brick now. Can only access to Download (ODIN) mode. I have tried 2,3 different firmwares, tried 3 versions of ODIN. But it doesn't work.
Here is the story:
I bought this tablet from bestbuy (USA)
I only wanted to root my tab A 7.0 SM-T280.
I enabled the OEN unlock from the developer mode.
Then I tried to flash the TWRP by the tutorial from this topic by @ashyx :
To install TWRP:
1. Flash with ODIN 3.10.7 in the AP slot.
Uncheck Auto reboot.
2. Load the respective file below into the AP slot and hit start.
3. After flashing when ODIN says PASS immediately reboot to recovery by holding POWER + HOME + VOL DOWN.
As soon as the screen goes blank change to VOL UP whilst still holding the other buttons.
You should now see TWRP recovery.

After flashing, on the download mode it showed: "SECURE CHECK FAIL: (RECOVERY)", then I reboot into recovery mode to access the TWRP but it said: "RECOVERY IS NOT SEANDROID FORCEFUL (although in ashyx topic said the SECURE FAIL is fine).
I still was able to reboot into the system this time.
And then I thought I should try another way. And then I came up with the TINKER ROM.
I tried to flash the Rom (v5) but somehow ODIN said FAIL.
I COULD NOT access the system since then.
Bu @zenful 's advices, I tried some different stock firmwares and different versions of ODIN just to get back to normal, but it never works.
Every time I flash, it always has the same problem:
- First try, ODIN fails at:
sboot.img
sboot2.img
complete (write) failed... (I don't remember though)
And in the download mode screen (from the phone) said:
SECURE CHECK FAIL (SBOOT)
SECURE CHECK FAIL (SBOOT2)
- Second try, ODIN fails at:
boot.img
system.img
Complete (write) fail...
And in the screen said:
SECURE CHECK FAIL (BOOT)
SECURE CHECK FAIL (RECOVERY)
I also tried emergency recovery mode in smart switch but it didn't solved the problem. One good thing (after I entered the tablet model and serial number) is that it showed "PHONE: QA4 CSC: PH3 (XAR)"
______________
I'm pretty sure that the problem doesn't come from fw nor from ODIN since I downloaded the fws from sammobile and updato and downloaded ODIN from xda (the latest version from samsungodin.com)
I'm seriously need a help right now. I just wanna have a rooted tablet so I can play game with my ps4 controller.
I have experienced with these flashing business. I rooted my galaxy s2, HTC desire c, HTC evo, etc. and so on, but have never done rooting in the last 1 year. I can attach some snapshots if you guys request

Try this: download your desire firmware via samfirm (BL+AP+CP+CSC when extracted) plus you need a pit file for your model with the same region as firmware and then flash (with 4 firmware files incl pit) via odin autoreboot+repartition+nand erase+f.reset time. At least you will get working stock tablet. It worked on my note 4 soft bricked.
