Is there a way for me to take a theme I like from one ROM and transfer it to a completely different ROM ?

It doesn't work that way. If the UI tweaks are part of the ROM then it's code base ... If the 'theme' is installed via a theme engine like Substratum or CM theming engine, then you apply a theme through it.

OK dam I was hoping that I could oh well I'm looking for a very good pixel launcher theme that won't give me issues I know there is a forum for one out right now but I'm not having to much luck with ir
As the title says, I am searching for ways to dark theme my Google apps.
The beta version on nougat had this option but was later removed.
Substratum and layers doesn't seem to work after TW lollipop.
Developers have made it possible for CyanogenMod [lineage os] and layers and substratum work with original Android long back. Why hasn't anything been done to TouchWiz?
I dislike the idea of using blackout as it needs late manual updates.
Probably there are ways to dark theme and I am unaware of it. If there any, please let me know.
Thank you.
P.S. I am planning to open up a petition to force Google to implement dark theme technology. Will update as soon as I am done.
""force Google to implement dark theme technology".
Yeah, good luck with that.

Well, someone has to.
There are plenty of apps in play store which has the option to switch to dark theme. If they can make it, why can't Google?
Thanks btw.
I just read the front page of XDA and saw this:
https://www.xda-developers.com/para...-2-builds-pie-controls-color-engine-and-more/
The XL is listed as one of the supported devices.
Here is the direct link when the ROM goes live.

I don't wanna flash a new ROM atm just to find out.
My RR is ticking nice & smooth right now.
With that said, I've never seemed to own a phone that PA officially supported.
So I have yet to run one of their ROM's that wasn't a hacked up port job.
Unrelated babble:
I can't wait till someone drops an AOSP "O" on us so I can see if aptX finally works in an AOSP ROM.

You won't get O until it officially drops. AOSPA was the best ROM on my Nexus 4 and 5. Right before the team broke up. The two builds that came out for M on my 6p were amazing but hardly any features, then the development seemed to disappear

No slim. Stock recents only.
Immersive mode.
Hide Navbar or status bar or both. No dimension choice.
Pie control.
Unlimited Pixel photos.
Ok Google works.
No Google cloud backup.
No Google camera.
Supposed to have APTX Bluetooth. Didn't see it.
Very stock. Pretty snappy too.
Not bad for first release.

Choice between pixel and Google now launcher
Pixel camera, or whatever camera is in the gapps you flash but you can download the camera from apk mirror.
Photos says it unlimited but who knows. Other roms have said it on the phone but it didn't reflect it on their Google drive.
No circle icons.

Do you not have the camera or does it just not work. Because I have a camera but it doesn't work.

Camera wasn't showing on play store, downloaded from apk mirror. Wouldn't work. Force closing.
Cute little system themer with a dark mode and a few accent colors. What did you think of that? Hard to compete with Substratum right now.

I think it's neat if you don't wanna mess around with themes but you are right about it not competing.
I did the stock gapps package which had the camera, same issue though.

I'm sure it will get better. Already flashed my back up. Haha! Just a couple of little things bugged me. Pretty tight though. Pretty stock.
I'm not able to get it to boot. Coming from RR, latest bootloader. I've tried with the verified boot patcher and without. Am I missing a step? I am clean flashing as well
Flashed April Bootloader and it booted fine
Damn I wish I didn't have a locked bootloader now.

It's really not all that, knowing what I know now, if I was on the fence about rooting and romming, PA wouldn't exactly be a game changer.

I loved PA back in the day and last year as well. I'm never on the fence, if I didn't get a locked bootloader replacement from Asurion, I would be on PA right now.

If your not rooted using stock there is a really easy way to a pitch black system using overlay. It doesn't need a pc and can do it all on our phone it also themes the play store black, whatsapp Twitter etc. The app in question is called swift installer on the play store. It's worth the money and works great

Not many people are 'in the know' about swift installer, like me I didn't know so I posted to help others.

I am. I mention swift as a alternative as I didn't know about it and gave it a try.
Cool , substratum also has a swift black theme if you want to give it a shot
