As the title says, I am searching for ways to dark theme my Google apps.
The beta version on nougat had this option but was later removed.
Substratum and layers doesn't seem to work after TW lollipop.
Developers have made it possible for CyanogenMod [lineage os] and layers and substratum work with original Android long back. Why hasn't anything been done to TouchWiz?
I dislike the idea of using blackout as it needs late manual updates.
Probably there are ways to dark theme and I am unaware of it. If there any, please let me know.
Thank you.
P.S. I am planning to open up a petition to force Google to implement dark theme technology. Will update as soon as I am done.
""force Google to implement dark theme technology".
Yeah, good luck with that.

Well, someone has to.
There are plenty of apps in play store which has the option to switch to dark theme. If they can make it, why can't Google?
Thanks btw.

First and foremost, I think this is my second post here. So HI!
I've been theming my droid for a while and I've published a few, but this one will be my first full blown theme, and I wanted to get some thoughts.
This Theme will be for the Motorola Droid, running CM7 and Liquid ROM. I also plan on porting it over to Theme Chooser as well. It is a Yellow and Blue theme. Currently I have themed framework, Settings, Phone, Contacts, Desk clock, Calculator, Calendar Widget, Browser, Google Search, and Music. So I still have a few more apps to go, as well as some tweaking. Below are some screens. Let me know your thoughts...
Thats cool and its DIFFERENT. I like it.
Change the Icon (Successfully Installed) from Vending/Market to the same color. The Dialer is very nice too. I hope soon you will upload that Theme. I will port it to FroyoMOD too Ok?
Thanks for the reply. I'm going to try and make a beta release this weekend. I have to finish market and make a few tweaks still.

Can u send me the apks/pngs already? That would be nice.
Edit....

Downloading and Porting
Let me know your thoughts. I've put a ton of time into this. More to come...
Just wonder if there any other theme files to download got bored of the four it came with
i think that as long as any theme is compatible with theme chooser then u can use it. not 100% on that tho....

Negative, not for the majority of them. You just apply them with the theme chooser. Most of those (i haven't tried all of them) should be an .apk. Just download and install the .apk. Then go to the 'theme chooser' app and select it, just as you do with the 4 themes that already came with Deck's rom. These are all compatible with the Theme Chooser.
None of the links are working you know any other place

They're not working for you? They should link you to the market. I just tried quite a few of them, and it takes me to the online android market web page. From there it just installs to your phone. You just need to make sure you sign into the market online. Then it'll wirelessly push the app to your phone. If the links aren't working for you, I'm unsure. They all work fine for me...
There are a bunch of themes that are compatible with the Theme Chooser that are available in the market. You can search the market on your phone if you want, for cm7 themes, or theme chooser themes or something. there's a ton of them.

What Buck said. I've got about 15 themes on my phone right now from the market that will work with Decks/theme chooser.

Go to the android market and type "CM7 themes" then download and apply through theme chooser.
Theme request... victorian green
I love the colors in NOV SKIN V2.1 Sense 3.0 Skin by Hateslinger, but of course it's not compatible with Deck. I wish I were tech savvy enough to make my own skin, but I'm not, so if anyone would like to show off what they can do with it, I would be forever grateful!
And thank you for Deck!! It's the first time I tried a custom ROM and I Love it!!!
New Theme
I just added a Modded ICS theme for Decks/cm7 works on any hdpi AOSP rom with Theme chooser has been tested on CM7.1 - Decks 1.3d and Decks 1.3 Heres the link to my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1398001
If u like blue in the decks thread there is a theme called deckd bread its a very polished theme. And I recently read in the thread there is one called mixer but haven't checked it out.

Does anyone know is it possible to pick certain aspects from themes? For example i would like the notification tray from the midnight black team but i don't want the messaging app to be themed too nor the contacts app!! Iam assuming its not possible and you gotta just apply the whole of the theme?
Anyone?
This would be great. I love my theme but I hate the keyboard. I hope someone knows an answer or this gets implemented in an update.

Yeah on my HTC 10 i could do this! I could view various themes and pick and choose what i wanted from each theme (clock, icons, wallpapers etc) Sadly i didn't really appreciate it until now ha You could also create your own theme from scratch using a template they provide online! It appears Samsung don't do this and you must apply the whole theme
hey, i just want to play with this tool, i got the 3.0 version, but its dosnt support 7.0
can someone give me a link to download this?
would appreciate it....

You need to be verified that that works
For having the theme editor from that link, meaning officially, you have to prove that you're a good designer and some of your works, in order to let Samsung "graphic team" to decide if you're worthy to became a "themer" and to download their tool.
I've tried several times last year, when I had the S7, and even if I've made some best and most downloaded HTC themes, even if I'm a graphic designer, even if I've proven my skills...they've always rejected my request...
No matter if in the Samsung Store most of the themes are ABSOLUTELY S*IT (sorry to say that, but hey...just take a look at the 80% of the themes out there...I mean...just take a look and tell by yourself) and finding one or two themes worthy of download is like finding an oasis into a desert...
Sad about that...just hope that SUBSTRATUM will soon cover the entire Samsung system theming module...THIS will be the real deal...

agreed..hw the hell they approve all the theme in the market...
all the designs on the store are from Samsung. they make it look like there are other designers but its only so it doesnt look like a monopoly. or they source from a third party company.
Yeah there's a lot of crap in there. I like a lot of Hiten Soni stuff. Nebu UI is my go to with Swift Black taking care of a lot of user apps.

hmm...... so that are the themes you like hmm? .... nvmd, i need to kick someone out of one of my tg chats... ;D
DD S8.... that's all you need to know
Did anyone ever find a download for this? Samsung's application process is screwed to say the least. Some of their allowed themes are complete trash, but they block people from being able to create better ones.
I can't get it
New version 5.0.50
any source
for 5.0.50
share it please the old one can't support 7.0
I agree most I see in there are crap that you even have to pay for. I tried also. Have a cool Ninja theme with cool icons and everything and still can't get approved.
I do think though they look at image optimization which is still not the best even with those that have been approved.
Better to just find a download somehow. I doubt though you will find anyone willing to blow their own access to make it available to all.

If your not rooted using stock there is a really easy way to a pitch black system using overlay. It doesn't need a pc and can do it all on our phone it also themes the play store black, whatsapp Twitter etc. The app in question is called swift installer on the play store. It's worth the money and works great
