Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to create a tasker/ autowear method to turn on LTE as soon as the watch isn't connected to the phone via bluetooth and turn it off when it is re-connected. This would eliminate the manual step to turn on and off mobile connection.
Thanks
why not?
So I have been looking around autowear and cannot find a command to disable GSM/LTE, so I guess that's why it cant be done. Been looking for exactly this for a few weeks now.

Hey,
I have a seemingly simple problem. I use POP email and I want to check for emails regularly but at home and work I can stay connected to a WiFi network.
I know with Skype I can set the program to use WiFi if available else 3G. Does anyone know if this can be done at a system level so for instance that email and any other apps needing a connection will follow this protocol, please?
Thanks.
Since i do not want to create a new thread (for 2 posts maximum) i will ask here: my phone shows that is connected with the wi-fi (usr9108 router--> access point) BUT when i am trying to sign in to msn, skype open a page in I.E nothing happens, it's like i am not connected to the net.

Most applications will use whatever connection is already on. In your case if you are connected via WiFi then your email will use that connection, if not then it will try to connect by the default GPRS/3G connection setting. I do this all the time.
Okay, yeah sorry.
To clarify I think what I really want is to let the device go into sleep mode and attempt to create a WiFi connection before it attempts to create a 3G data connection.
Other than that, purchasing a cradle and leaving the device in alert mode would be the way forward would it?
Is there a way for WiFi to remain on even if the device is in Sleep mode?
Thanks again.

Oh I see you what you mean. Why not try this schedule an event to wake the device and so long as it was connected to a wireless AP when it went to sleep it will try to reconnect when it wakes then schedule another event after a suitable pause to allow it to find and connect to AP to sync email.
Alternatively try SKSchema or MortScript which are both macro tools to do the above.
Cheers Jazza. Not sure how to 'schedule' an event but I'll do some research into 'SKSchema or MortScript' to see how I can use them.
Thanks for your help.
Hi All,
I have carried out a search but not managed to turn anything up :-(
I am trying to stop the wireless from going to sleep after whats seems about 5 minutes.
Can anybody help?
I user the KaiserTweak function on my TyTn II and that works great
Thanks, Andy
Try Settings>Connections>WLAN>Power Mode tab
Uncheck "Auto turn off WLAN if not connected"
Hi Techntrek,
I have already tried that.
The application that I use polls a web server ever one minute so the Wireless is being used, it is just disconnecting because the device is not being touched key/screen wise.
you are probably talking about the screen/sleep settng, different setting. settings>system>backlight>both power tabs
how can i diable the auto switch to 3G when i am in a Usb connection? i know there is a way to disable it which is untick ''allow wireless connection on device when connected to desktop'' what i wanted is. is there any manual way to enableor disable 3G by ourself rather then it switch automatically and we had to manual get it disabled.
thanks for the time you spend on reading.
Hi, I have a new Legend and I have the following question: How can I make the phone connect automatically to the 3g and to the gps? When I start igo there is no signal unless I manually switch on the gps before, and the same with the internet.
THank you in advance!
You can enable GPS all the time. Actually it's only in use, when an application needs it, so you don't have a higher battery usage.
And 3G, well you can keep it disabled and activate it while running the app by holding the power button. In the pop-up menu you can than activate 3G without leaving the app
fantastic, thank you Firen89!
Anyone know if I can disable the cell signal automatically on the unrooted nexus 6P?
I know I can pop it in airplane mode and then turn back on bluetooth & wifi but I want to automate this process so that when I'm at work it will toggle the cell radio off.
Any ideas?
Ok, so I setup tasker to turn on Wifi and Bluetooth when I put the phone in airplane mode. It's not ideal but it's a start.
If anyone's got a better idea, please let me know
I am assuming I can't turn off just the cell without root.
Can't you use NFC tags for tasks like this?
I can't find anything saying it would work airplane mode or turning the cell off though.
