Hello,
I'm not expert in RPI, so I need help to make a voice encryption model for calls over GSM. I have lot of questions.
so I want to use raspberry pi 3 and Sim900l for GSM.
I will need a microphone for voice input and speaker for voice output so when the person talk the voice goes through the microphone to be processed in the rpi then the voice go to the gsm sim900l to send the voice.
the changement should happens when the rpi process the audio before sending it to the rpi and when it receives the voice from the sim900l to send it to the speaker.
My questions:
1) It is possible to do this project with rpi?
2)Do we can modify sound before sending it to the sim900l ?
3)Do we need I2S circuit to make this project ?

I sent a email to South Wing about compatibility with the XDA 2 and i got this reply
The XDA II does not support the Bluetooth hands-free profile which is used by the NeoVoice USB headset and gives access to the various hands-free mode features of the device.
However, it supports the headset profile also supported by the NeoVoice USB. This means you can make and receive calls perfectly and use functions of the headset like voice dialing.
Overall, without the hands-free mode capability, the features you would miss on are only the following ones: rejecting a call, transferring a call to the phone, last number redialing and disconnecting from the phone.
The headset is available online from expansys.com (type NeoVoice in the search box) where you may acquire the USB cable and car charger for little more.
There you have it from the horses mouth, hope this is some help
Michael
I have the Neovoice USB and have had no problems disconnecting a call with it. I dont use it for voice dialling I use Microsoft Voice Command instead.
Is there such a thing? I use the Fonix voice product, but it only works via the speaker or wired headset. Sure, it will transfer the call to the BT headset once it dials, but having to pick up the device and open the cover kind of makes voice dialing pointless.
On a similar note, a Bluetooth-aware caller ID application would sure be useful. Having it speak the name/number in the BT headset would mean hand-off answering based on caller. Or maybe even just speak it over the speaker on the device.

I've been wishing for those exact same things ever since the first Pocket PC Phone came out. Hopefully someday!!
In the meantime, feel free to send such feature requests to Microsoft repeatedly...

Is it possible to make voice recordgins using any bluetooth handsfree device? The question is - can handsree microphone be used as the input for the recording program?
I'd like to implement the following scenario:
1) Connect Bluetooth handsfree to my Qtek9100
2) Press a button on my device to start recording and put the device into the pocket.
3) I want the mic on the handsfree to be the input for the recording.
Thanks,
Vick

Looks like an answer, THANKS!
Hi , just paired up my hero with my sony ericson bluetooth headset, does anyone know whether the hero supports voice calling, with my previous phone i recorded voice tags for people and was able to press a button on my bluetooth headset , speak the name of the person i wished to call and activate a phone call that way??
not in the european versions of android. in the us you can long-press the call button _on the phone_ to activate voice dialing. but the whole process is rather lame, and needs to be adapted to allow for true hands-free operation like it is required by law in (almost?) all of europe.
