my new Nokia 6 battery draining faster, hardly I can use my mobile for 8 hrs (even without using any games & applications) after full charge with original Nokia charger.
Also, while on call my audio is not clear to the receiver/next person on call
Same here bro... heating too
Same problem here on calls. They keep saying that my voice can't be heard or the volume is too low but my cell signal here is great and they have no problem calling others. This happened after I update to 7.1.2

how many hours your wifi lasts ,mine drains too fast. any solutions to that?
i just happened to use iphone 2g wifi safari browser (my friends),surfing was cool but i noticed that it hardly drains any battery , coming back to prophet opera surfing is sort of ok but wifi uses alot of battery on prophet ,may be due to incorrect drivers or dll ,so i was just wondering do your prophets with wifi last too little ,roughly how much time before you prophet resets suddenly ,mine some times seemed to reset at 40% battery all of a sudden on a skype call over wifi or while using it as a webcam over wifi, also it become alot heated too.
p.s.- i have set brightnes to minimum and 10 seconds and cleaned up startup forlder exept wifiinit.
WiFi on the Prophet will drain more battery than more recent devices.
The hardware is old, the battery is quite small, and in general, the device isn't that efficient...
To increase time, try a different radio ROM, and possibly a new battery.
There is a setting for WiFi power mode in Settings->Connection->Wifi (At least its in the ROM I have now and in the original)
Unfortunately though it may save battery the lower setting cuts the range significantly, it some cases you would have to be in the same room as the router...
i also used that setting ,the only part i want from this all i want to get solved is that my battery still discharges while a charger is being put on and wifi is switched on with skype or opera or webcam operating.
to begin with --*****i seriously want to solve the part that battery should not discharge while charger is being put on while using wifi ,because that means negative charging****.
in all the wifi sessions i observed that handset would reset around 40 minutes of use with skype or webcam or rdp or opera with wifi also it got hot, then i had to take off battery sometimes to switch it on later after cooling.
also if anyone of you have used wifi on wm5 i needed to know how long did wm5 wifi usage battery lasted, and did the battery get discharged while wifi used and charger plugged in this is just to clear my doubts that wm5 was able to use wifi much longer that wm6 or are they the same.
i use Prophet_S4V.19701.01_Clean rom most of the times
I have a customer with one of these phones who complains it is running hot, so hot they have to move it away from their ear.
I have one too, configured with push email, and it's fine. Is the high temperature normal? Their phone also drops calls. I think the phone should probably be replaced but wondered if there was a known problem and simple solution. I access it using Pocket Controller and it's set up fine.
Sometimes the customer leaves bluetooth on alot even though they don't use it all the time, and with bluetooth it sometimes routes calls to the headset, sometimes not. Oh, and sometimes the phone radio turns off by itself! Sounds defective to me!!
Any thoughts?
One last thing, is there a way to permanently turn it off when it's not in use? Switching off the phone radio isn't enough.
Thanks.
You can't turn off the Treo Pro. Turning on\off doesn't effect the power drain that much to heat the battery a lot.
The only thing that could get the device a lot warmer than with normal use is turning on WiFi or by making long phone calls..
My guess would be that the device has either a battery problem or something is wrong with the hardware of the Treo Pro. It's not normal that you have to move the device from your face because of the heat.
Quickest way to test if it's the TP or the battery is to try a battery if you have one
Thanks mccune. I'll contact the suppliers.
Regards
Mike
My phone runs extremely hot if i have processes running in the background, like, Google Maps...
I think we have to make a difference between 'hot' and 'warm'. I don't believe that there is any chance of someone getting his ear burnt.
I've had my treo pro for few days now, and have noticed that the temperature at the back cover rises when the handset is with the gps in use, especially when searching for satellites
Running hot..quick battery burn...Winterface!
I wonder if the owner is using Winterface? I tried (and liked) this launcher, but it cut my battery life in half and the unit felt very warm all the time. Trying Mobile Shell for now...
They weren't using anything other than what was supplied on the phone. They just made a lot of calls.
The phone was returned and my customer had the same problem with the replacement. I think what feels warm to most feels hot to them (sensitive ears).
The phone has been replaced with a Nokia E71 (supports exchange mail).
Seems runs cool and the battery lasts ages.
well I couldnt grumble about the battery issues on the hd2 since i changed to a Momax battery but since buying a new blutooth headset my battery life is absolutely rubbish, from 100% at 7am to 40% by 12noon.
If i dont have my blutooth on the battery lasts all day easy !
so my question is? do blutooth devices vary power consumption
what is the nand android build for htc hd mini that can last longer for 1 day of normal usage???
Both nand builds (CM7.2 and Sense 3.5) lasts 1-2 day if you use only 2G network for calls and some wifi. But the battery is very innacurate: sometimes drops 20% in 5 min, then increase 20% in 1 min without charging, sometimes the phone shuts down because battery suddenly drops from 30% to 1% and after phone restart, battery reports 30% again.
I think it's worth trying if you use your Mini as a secondary phone.
ofcourse sense is better and more accurate than cm7.2 now, but the answer may change with the update we are waiting for.
Sense is more "good looking" than CM but CM is more customizable than Sense.
It depends what on what each prefer .
I know i'm offtopic and i'm sorry for that, but it's so quiet on this forum :d
We all are wainting for updates.

--firstly sorry about my bad english--
i tried almost all android builds including sd and nand versions and i just should say derefass' Sense 3.5 port to our HTC HD Mini is the best. Im using this rom for daily use. (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1588816)
we all know there is no perfect build has developed yet. Also this ROM has four big issues. Respectively:
1- Battery usage is amazingly nice but battery driver is inapplicable. For example, battery stat shows 20% while actually i have 70 - 60%. so where i know i have 70 - 60% battery? experience. while battery driver states 0% battery and shut down device, i put my device on charge just for 5 secs. after openning device i have still 50 - 60% battery. with that method my battery goes on 2 days for minimal usage, at least 1 day with intensive usage (wifi, wifi hotspot, 3g, etc)
2- video is not working (neither recording nor playing)
3- bluetooth headset and car kit is not working. well i dont use bluetooth headset. not problem for me.
4- system cache size. this one is just a little problem, can be fix easily with third part apps (cache fixer)
i totally recommend this rom if anyone want to install android. i also think all mini users should. seriously, our mini is nearly the best mobile phone in his "beginner level smartphone" segment.
these are my opinions.
i like htc sense 3.5 rom for our hd mini.hopes the update will come soon n the battery driver will show correct battery status n no draining problem.. i;m doesn;t wondering that our hd mini can get sense 3.5.thanks developers
hello, best is Sense. Battery long live and GPS works
I know the battery life is already pretty bad, but what are your experiences with battery life and bluetooth.
I will keep it in my pocket connected to bluetooth headset, without using the phone much.
Is the battery drain fast or is it slower?
In your estimation how much battery life do you get with bluetooth on listening to music.

it will drain faster obviously but there is nothing to worry about. For example i lose around 10 percent after 2 hours of music with a wired headset

I feel like the cover is going to break off, since putting in my pocket is not as easy as I would like.
It's always in the way and never flush, I'm using an L shaped cable.
I need maybe 5 hours max of music.
2 hours on bus to school, 2 hours back.
I can always have it charged while at school.
Should be able to get enough.
Everything you turn on will drain battery, but my phone is every day the whole day in my pocket, while connected to Bluetooth hands free in car and connected to TomTom navi using Bluetooth tether (for getting real-time traffic info on my data connection) and I'm pretty satisfied with battery life.
At the and of a whole day ive got still left 70%.
