Hi guys!
First of all, sorry for my bad English!
I've ordered a 2nd Docomo Dtab Compact D-01J from GEO store Japan to replace my broken Ipad Mini 4. At the price of 140$ for a like new, full of original box and accessories, I think it's the best bang for my bucks.
Like the Mediapad M2, Huawei has built a specific variant for Docomo which called Dtab Compact D-02H, and some people has successfully converted their Dtab D-02H to the international Mediapad M2. So I'm wondering if we can convert the Dtab D-01J to the Mediapad M3 or not? Because the D-02H and the M2 are share exactly same hardwares, but the D-01J has some differences compared to the M3: it's only have 16G ROM, 3G RAM and 4980mAh battery. I've also contacted to a guy who has a D-02H converted to M2 for the conversation, he said he can't answer for sure but it may be work. The procedure is very simple: unlock bootloader -> install TWRP -> root and finally install the international firmware.
I'm living in Vietnam and Huawei doesn't officially release Mediapad M3 in my country, so there will be no support. My question is: is it possible to unbrick device if tje procedure above doesn't work?
Does anyone of you has tried it before or have any suggestion?
Thanks!
Successfully converted my Docomo dtab to M3 Europe.
I'm using Mediapad M2 And I Want To Root It Using Kingroot But It Always Says Fail I Already Turned On My Developer Options And I Turned On USB Debugging But I Really Wamt To Root My Mediapad M2 Please Reply As Fast As You Can

Hello,
what is the difference between X720 and X727 ? Is the hardware the same ?
720 international, can be 4gb or 6gb ram, bootloader unlockable
727 usa version, only 4gb ram, locked bootloader, additional frequency band for US.
Rest of the hardware same, AFAIK
Sent from my LeEco Le Pro3 using XDA Labs
Yeah just received the 727 and the bootloader is locked. That really sucks

LTE Bands 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/29/30/38
720 is also a dual sim phone
Somekne knows the lte bands of X720?. In some websites it says it has 1/3/7 and in others 1/2/3/4/5/7/8. Which one i believe?
FDD-LTE: B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20
TDD-LTE:38/39/40/41
WCDMA: B1/2/4/5/8 TD-SCDMA: B34/39; EVDO:BC0/BC1
GSM:2/3/5/8; CDMA: BC0/BC1
from cn lemall ,it should be x720
Baseband is suspected to be the same for both models. See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/le-pro3/help/x727-baseband-t3508884#post69837688

Can you root it or change the ROM? There's no information about this device currently.
I didn't try root and there is no support for it. But I don't mind after playing with over 50 china phones and flashing roms on them and releasing adjusted china roms on Modaco forum and elsewhere.
The only software I have found by now is a generic unbrick rom:
http://forum.telekineza.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=1353#p39774
Google apps can be easily installed through Google Installer v2 apk

I don't care if you can't root as long as you can change the rom or debloat this, but seems like there's NOTHING on xda, not a single tool or rom for it, that's why.
P.S. Also debloater is not working for X727 as far as I know, so you have to stick with the chinese bloat, and just use nova launcher.
You can debloat most of the China stuff in EUI, like:
- Turn off that video service screen on the left of Home screen
- Settings, app management, Installed apps - Uninstall
- Phone manager, App warehouse, Disable
- You can disable notifications for some apps, like calendar
It isn't a proper debloating but it moves china apps from the sight.
Well, good news for x722 owners.
There is an update to EUI 5.9 v 026s showing in my phone this morning
@dakok Let us know how it works... apparently nobody owns it so for now it does not have any community support. I don't know if it comes with gapps, but I think it's now on EUI 26s.
Hi everyone!
I am thinking of buying a mediapad m3 and then one I am looking at is a Chinese version, I am from the UK and was wondering,

Hello all, I want to buy a k20 . But here is a problem that, in my country the price of Mi 9t and k20 which released in india just now is quite high compared to k20 chinese version. so here's some question of me:
if i flash global rom in k20 CN ,will it be equivalent to k20 indian version and Mi 9T?
and one last thing is the codename of k20 CN and k20 indian variant are same? because i am a custom rom lover.
(I dont need netflix hd)
Please help me with these queries. I am very much interested in becoming the part of this family.
On ordinary global ROM you can set India region and language (and you can flash it on CN Redmi K20, but you have to unlock bootloader and never lock it again). Maybe for India version of this phone will be different software (because of different codename) but maybe it will be the same. We have to wait.

can you flash T-Mobile Version with international firmware? if so does that change what the imei reports when you go sign up for service and put in imei, like if i flashed it with international will imei still show as T-Mobile or will it show International model? or is all imei,s on a database that tells them what it is? reason i ask is they wont allow tmobile version of 1+ but, they allow the "UNLOCKED" ones you buy straight from 1+

You can't flash to international...
the imei doesn't change when you flash so the other carrier would probably still see it as a tmo phone, even if you could change to international...
who doesn't allow it?
the prepaid verizons yahoo mobile and visible they were like all 1+ except tmobile versions

You have the HD1907, which is the T-mobile version of the 7T. It can be converted to Global firmware, but you are in the wrong forums. You need the 7T forums

This forum is for the T-Mobile 7T Pro 5G Mclaren variant, (HD1925 only). The other Mclaren editions of the 7T Pro (without 5G) are the same as the regular 7T Pro, except for how it looks, so you should be in the regular 7T Pro forums.
So it isn't possible at all to flash the global firmware on the T-Mobile mclaren? I understand that you wouldn't have 5G, but if I didn't care about that, could I still flash the global firmware and use it on 4g? I use AT&T service anyway.

No, not possible. The T-mobile 7T Pro 5G Mclaren edition (HD1925) can NOT be converted to the global firmware because there is no global edition of the phone. It was ONLY sold in the US and ONLY by T-Mobile.
Now, for example, the T-mobile 7 Pro, and the T-mobile 7T (along with the T-mobile OP 8 and 8T and virtually every other OnePlus phone that T-mobile has ever sold) can be converted to Global because there exists a global variant with identical hardware and therefore global firmware can be used for all of those models. But the OP7T Pro with the X55 5G modem (which is what the T-mobile 7T Pro 5G Mclaren edition is) was only ever sold in the US by T-mobile. So no global variant or firmware exists.

Okay. That definitely makes sense! There's nothing to convert it to lol! Sorry. I'm kind of an idiot sometimes! I'm still learning! The one that I bought from eBay turned out to be a demo mode, and wasn't able to take any OTA updates... I returned it for a full refund, and I'm waiting for a regular 7t pro Chinese version flashed with the global ROM. Unbranded, so should be a lot easier to tinker with!

Sorry,I know this is an old discussion but, I’m very confused. you say there is no global firmware for the T-Mobile version of the 7T pro, but then you turn around and say that it can be converted to global. My issue is this, I know there was more than one version of the op7Tpro mclaren edition. Is there a difference between the none carrier version and T-Mobile variant?

Yes.
I never said the T-Mobile version of the 7T Pro Mclaren could be converted to Global. And it can't be. I listed other models of T-Mobile variants that can be converted to Global (which is every one except the 7T Pro 5G Mclaren).
Only the T-Mobile variant (HD1925) has the X55 5G radio. As this variant was only sold by T-Mobile in the US, no global, non-carrier, non-T-mobile firmware exists for it and updates are only available OTA thru T-Mobile and cannot manually be downloaded and installed.
Any other variants of the 7T Pro Mclaren (besides HD1925) are identical to the non-Mclaren 7T Pro variants (except for the color of the phone). Therefore, if you have a 7T Pro Mclaren without 5G, you should look in the regular 7T Pro forums. These forums are for the US T-Mobile variant, HD1925, which was never sold anywhere else in the world (again, the difference is that the HD1925 has the X55 5G radio)
