Hello,
I recently went back to stock with my HTC ONE M9+ since i discovered bluetooth doesn't work with CleanState.
I first flashed the Asia_WWE_1.61.707.4. recovery and the Asia_WWE_1.08.707.4_Radio_1.1506V24P14.1605.0421_HT zip.
Then I did a factory reset.
I received several updates without problems, but after installing the last one, it says there is no further update available for my device. I already updated to Android 6 once, so this must be an error.
Any ideas?
My device:
Android Ver 5.0.2
HTC Sense ver 7.0
HTC_HIAU_ML 2 SHIP S-OFF / htc_hiau_ml_tuhl xc S-OFF
*** Software Status: MODIFIED ***
RELOCKED
CID-11111111111
OS 1.88.707.2
Nevermind, i figured it out. Had to change the CID from SuperCID to HTC__044

I've been getting a notification about a security update on my magic. It claims to have already downloaded it (4.6mb), and is asking to install and reboot.
Does anyone know any details about the update? Version numbers, etc? What it changes?
Forgot to mention my current versions:
baseband - 62.50s.20.17u_2.22.19.26I
Kernel - 2.6.27-00392-g8312baf [email protected] #72
Build - crb17
I never received such notification. When I go to System Update, it says that my phone is already up to date. It got exactly the same version as yours.
Me neither - all versions the same. :-o
all Magics with CRB17 software will soon receive an over the air
(OTA) software update approximately 4.5 MB in size
This is a security patch, and nothing to worry about it, everyone with the affected software should get it in the next week.
I'm more worried about it blocking any future hacked firmwares being installed - eg the new rooted firmware 6.0
Upgrade in Vodafone ES network
I have just updated the firmware of my magic. It had CRB17. After the upgrade the new software versions are:
CRB43
62.50S.20.17U_2.22.19.26I
2.6.27-00393-g6607056
bye
i have received today the same notification in my htc (vodafone spain). But, what about the root??
@IsAhT sorry but I did not have it rooted before the update, so I cannot tell you the effects of this upgrade over a rooted terminal.
got the same thing right now...i just updated it..
i guess .......... if it is just a update to the firmware system should not effect the rooting.
How does the update process work? I'm on a rooted Vodafone UK Magic, but using the Orange mobile network. I've installed Haykuro's SPL, and About phone -> System updates says it's up to date, but the build is CRB17.
Maybe I should give his 6.0r1 ROM a try...
well i am on voda uk and i am not getting any updating because im using the 6.0 sapphire rom were the system update is disable obviously.
that you are on orange and still running CRB17 should be able to get the update. i think they roll the update gradually like TMOBILE done with the G1 to upgrade to cupcake 1.5,they started with 10% then 20% and so on of the G1 population till they hit 100%.
so after the rooting process installing haykuro's SPL, whats the 'best' rom to choose and where can i get it?.
im on CRB17 as well after trying to get root, which i dont think worked. Is there pre-rooted rom floating about?
im on vodafone UK magic as well
I rooted my HTC wildfire before xmas and now three have released the official update and i can not install this due to not backing up prior to rooting my mobile.
I was wondering if anyone has a CLEAN (not information on) nandriod back up of 2.1 i could please utilise to enable me to get the latest official three version
or a way to get the official update after rooting mobile would be great too
Thanks
Colin
There is an RUU at Shipped ROM's:
http://shipped-roms.com/index.php?category=android&model=Buzz
Look for this one:
RUU_Buzz_H3G_UK_1.16.771.2_Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31_release_131501_signed.exe
Remember though, you will not be able to root / install root apps / custom ROM's etc etc when you get the official 2.2.1 update.
Thanks
Thanks I did try this one this morning but it still wouldnt install for me I will however try again I have reset my wildfire back to factory setting and tried update which never worked either!
Just hope i manage to sort it out lol

I did read the only way to get back to normal and be able to update OTA would be to go back to factory setting before root was enabled!
is there anyone with such a backup without number or software just as it is???

HTC Desire Z. Had this phone rooted to load custom ROMs, now want to send it in for warranty purposes.
The phone appears not to be rooted anymore, but I still got S-OFF, cannot get it to S-ON.
Tried to update with RUU (3 WWE versions), tried it with placing PC10IMG.ZIP on SD card and do the update. All’s good, just that god damn S-OFF is still there.
Found a guide on unl..er, but cannot get the first command to work as obviously I’m not rooted anymore.
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p17 of=/sdcard/misc.img
What would you suggest to do to get S-ON?
I was even thinking to root again and then just try that guide again.
And also can you apply factory stock boot loader from T-Mobile G2 onto HTC Desire Z ?
thanks
Read the wiki. Instructions and links are there.

Hey pals,
Good evening .After a long i'm back. I was rooted and today only i fully unroot my device 820U dual sim. Running lollipop v5.0.2 with software number 2.10.720.1
I was prompted for basically 2 updates for mail and system enhancement 1.99MB both were installed successfully.
After that i got again update for system enhancement of something 89.xx MB update. It was downloaded and i pressed installed as we all do. Stock recovery prompted and installation begin. In a while might be after 10% it threw me status 7 error.
Is anybody experiencing this issue ?
What could be best possible fix ?
Status 7 error in OTA, shall i edit updater script or could something else causing the issue ?
Might be if i am not mistaken then this 89.xx MB update was 2.10.720.4
I'm in official rom and re-locked bootloader.
Please share your views and recommendations.
It might be due to changes that you made to system partition before so unless you flash a lollipop RUU you cant update though ota.(there was a problem like this on my other HTC phone and I was unrooted and on relocked bootloader same as you but I couldnt update untill I flash RUU and started over.)
Can u give the link of lollipop ruu ??

OTA and everything is fine now. Yeah though i create a thread i always get my answer before somebody replies to it.
I already got problem fixed just after some minutes of creating this thread.
:good: Thanks anyways, hope this will help others.

I Purchased a New M9+ from Amazon Recently Listed as: HTC One M9 Plus 32GB 5.2-Inch Factory Unlocked Smartphone - International Version (Gunmetal Gray) to work on TM/MPCS
which it does very well, it received 2 OTA's to 6.0.1 from stock 5 But I am trying to get to 7.0
So far I've Tried;
RUU_HIMA_UL_N70_SENSE80_TMUS_MR_TMOUS_4.27.531.6 (TMob)
RUU_HIMA_UL_N70_SENSE80_ATT_MR_NA_Gen_Unlock_4.14.617.6 (Unlocked/Dev)
Each as given me a SIGNANURE (yes it's spelled that way) Error and directs me to find use the correct rom
Is there a way to tell exactly which ROM I need? or Force the DEV Rom to Install?

Well after some blury eye early AM research, I have the 401 SKU which doesn't come as a self installing RUU but as a OTA/IMG not being new to this I know what I have to do to get it to 7, How ever I do have a follow up question, Can the Stock OS be changed from 401 to say a 531? just curious I'm stay on Official for now as I've finally given up on WP (sad I loved my Elite X3 best phone ever made to date)
