Can't mount system - OnePlus 5 Questions & Answers

Hey guys,
my phone fails to mount the system partition.
I was able to fix it by doing a factory reset with the stock recovery and then returning to TWRP but that won't work now.

Where aren't you able to mount system?? Are you talking about TWRP?

Yeah, in TWRP.

Tried doing Lollipop update, broken filesystem.

Hello. I tried doing the 5.0 update to my tablet using the factory images. It failed on sending /system and now the whole tablet isn't working. I loaded Philz, to wipe the whole tablet, and it errors mounting /data and /system when attempting to wipe. I have tried wiping everything in every way, and nothing. I cannot get anything to flash on the tablet. Any help?

Maybe try with latrst version of twrp instead of Philz.
Flash TWRP
Wipe
Advanced wipe
Select system
Repair or change file system
Repair
Let it do its thing, then flash your ROM.
Send your thanks to @Paramesh96. He gave me this advice on my thread. Still haven't been able to flash factory images. But I can get my tablet up & running again with this guide
I could do this, but I have no way of moving a zip file to the tablet.

I flashed TWRP, went through the process, rebooted to bootloader, reflashed TWRP, reboot to recovery & mtp was enabled to access the sdcard

[Q] Stuck booting after attempting to format through TWRP

Hi, I tried to format my device through the settings, and it rebooted into TWRP, I clicked format and it couldn't mount cache, so I formatted data only, now it can't mount storage. I've already tried flashing stock rom/recovery and it didn't do anything except replace TWRP.
I think I may have corrupted /data, but I am unsure.
Nevermind, got it working. Had to CHMOD 755

How do I flash a ROM on Redmi Note 4G with no OS in it ?

I am able to access only TWRP recovery . Pushed custom rom using adb , but when tried to flash it from TWRP it says " E:Unable to mount '/system' ".There is nothing in internal storage except for TWRP folder. Any way to flash a ROM in this situation .I am also not able to mount System from TWRP recovery .

You might want to format system/data using fastboot not by recovery.

Not able to format as it says partition not available
Even tried fastboot Rom.

Can't get zips to install with twrp or adb ze520kl

I had previously been able to flash roms on my ze520kl, had it rooted with magisk running xenon android 8.1
I had some issues with the phone not taking my pin so I attempted to restore and reflash, but nothing had worked so now I've done a full data wipe and its refusing to take any rom zip files including stock.
I've tried reflashing stock boot.img and recovery.img and going back to twrp and reflashing but I keep getting error:7 and its saying that it can't mount /system and /cache
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at /system: invalid argument
What can I do to fix this? Let me know if you need more info
possibly solved, seems to be flashing from internal storage just fine. I was going from external SD before

TWRP cannot wipe data cannot unencrypt

So I finally unbricked and booted the stock rom. Now im trying to reroot the thing.
When I go to format/unencrypt in TWRP I get ERROR 255 -t 0 /dev/block/mmcblk0p54
Is my data partition permanently corrupted? I know that partition exists inside /data.
I've already tried to manually format /data, repairing it, changing it from f2fs to ext4 and back. All failed.
I'm have a similar problem. I cannot mount anything thru twrp. System, data, cache, can't do a wipe all fail. I've tried changing file system the back but it fails. I was able to mount my sdcard and start the recovery but.... its. Been "working" for and hour with no process increase. I'm wondering if I can force a fix partition thru adb sideload. Or... how can I decrypt it. Also the internal storage registers as 0 out of 0, same as /data
