Can't get zips to install with twrp or adb ze520kl - Asus ZenFone 3 Questions & Answers

I had previously been able to flash roms on my ze520kl, had it rooted with magisk running xenon android 8.1
I had some issues with the phone not taking my pin so I attempted to restore and reflash, but nothing had worked so now I've done a full data wipe and its refusing to take any rom zip files including stock.
I've tried reflashing stock boot.img and recovery.img and going back to twrp and reflashing but I keep getting error:7 and its saying that it can't mount /system and /cache
mount: failed to mount /dev/block/bootdevice/by-name/system at /system: invalid argument
What can I do to fix this? Let me know if you need more info
possibly solved, seems to be flashing from internal storage just fine. I was going from external SD before

[Q] Can't use LGFlashTools to get back to stock, any ideas?

So I unlocked my AT&T D800 G2, and now it says that the model is D802. When I try to use LGFlashTools to go back to stock using the DLL and the TOT file, it says that the models don't match because the files are for D800 and D802. The D802 files don't work and give me a LAF memory size error. What are my options?
The reason I want to go back to stock is because I flashed TWRP 2.8.2.1 and then flashed the RessurectionRemix ROM, but then I encrypted the drive and then decided that maybe the ROM was a little too unstable for me. But in TWRP it says that it can't mount /data and I can't wipe or format /data, or mount it, so I can't clear everything and start from scratch. TWRP says that my internal storage is 0MB and that there are no files on the sdcard, probably because it's not mounted.
Welp... I think I might have ****ed up... I tried creating a data partition using mk2fs /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata and TWRP was able to mount the /data partition, but after I flash a ROM and reboot, it goes into fastboot instead... Am I screwed? I still have access to TWRP and ADB, which is the only reason why I might not be totally screwed.
Ok, so the reason that it wasn't working was because I flashed the D802 version of ResurrectionRemix like an idiot (I had downloaded two versions in my folder and was using the wrong one). I flashed the D800 version and it worked. Ugh.
Just so that this thread isn't completely useless, I'll put some information here.
If you encrypt your internal storage because of some Exchange email policies or something, TWRP won't be able to mount your /data partition.
You can fix this by doing:
adb shell
mke2fs /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/userdata
This will create a data partition for you. Then you'll need to go into TWRP and change the file system to ext4.
Now you should be able to mount the partition, flash a ROM, and do all that good stuff.

Encrypted 9505 won't boot

Good morning XDA fellows,
I am encountering a slight issue: I have encrypted my i9505 two days ago and I went blindly into installing the latest 5.0.2 CM 12 build. I have done a wipe and went into installing from zip which booted the CM setup but stopped at the Encryption Unsuccessful message. If I reboot, it starts the CM setup and stops at the same message.
If I try to mount the sdcard ( the phone's main memory ) it gives me an error and therefore I've put all the files on an external sd ( sdcard1 ).
What is the safest thing I should do in order to avoid a hard brick? Would you recommend me to flash a stock firmware with odin via download mode? Would the encrypted volume mess with odin ?
Yours sincerely,
Hello,
if you point to use CM don't encrypt your device, at least for now. You don't need to flash with Odin now, just go in recovery and format internal memory (/data and /data/media), then flash CM zip

Hi Antares, I receive an error when I try to format anything that has to do with the internal memory: E: Error mounting /data E: Error formatting /data . The same thing applies when I want to install any zip from the internal memoryE: Can't mount /sdcard. I suspect it has something to do with the encryption. I am not interested in recovering anything because I have already backed up before copying the setup files on both the internal and the external sd ( before it crashed ).
Thank you in advance,
EDIT: I have tried to flash it with jodin3 on a Macbook Pro and it didn't end up successfully. I have flashed using Odin 3.10 and the system booted up so that I could remove the encryption. Once done, I have flashed AntaresOne's CM12 build and everything works flawlessly. Thank you for your support!

ATT G2 D800 Unable To Mount /data, /system, or any other partitions

I was trying to fix an annoying error in which my phone would power down and go into a boot loop out of nowhere by installing a custom rom. I've installed new roms on plenty of phones, so it usually isn't any problem.
However, upon using the app AutoRec that was recommended by many to install a custom recovery (and yes I did make sure I used the Lollipop version for my Lollipop phone), my phone was wiped and now has no OS. I can get into TWRP, so I can use ADB and push files, but there's no file system to install to if I decide to flash. Programs like LGUP and LG Flash Tools can't communicate with the unmounted storage.
Repairing, wiping, and reformatting the file system from within TWRP only produces the "Unable to mount '/data'" error. I can't mount the partitions manually. Commands to format the system don't work either. I've been stuck on this for days. Please help.

TWRP cannot wipe data cannot unencrypt

So I finally unbricked and booted the stock rom. Now im trying to reroot the thing.
When I go to format/unencrypt in TWRP I get ERROR 255 -t 0 /dev/block/mmcblk0p54
Is my data partition permanently corrupted? I know that partition exists inside /data.
I've already tried to manually format /data, repairing it, changing it from f2fs to ext4 and back. All failed.
I'm have a similar problem. I cannot mount anything thru twrp. System, data, cache, can't do a wipe all fail. I've tried changing file system the back but it fails. I was able to mount my sdcard and start the recovery but.... its. Been "working" for and hour with no process increase. I'm wondering if I can force a fix partition thru adb sideload. Or... how can I decrypt it. Also the internal storage registers as 0 out of 0, same as /data
